For several months now that I have to be at work early early in the morning, this location has been my saving grace. The staff is always so friendly and prompt. My fave is the egg white grill. By now, it's no secret that I am a fan of the Chick-fil-A chain. I wasn't aware of this eastside Indianapolis location until I was driving by this evening on an errand and happened to spot it while I was searching for a place for dinner. There's a general consistency to most Chick-fil-A spots. The menu is, to my knowledge, the same nationwide. Generally speaking, the approach to the drive-thru is the same in that there's typically two rows that merge into one with employees stationed outside to take orders and help expedite things. Directly off East Washington Street, this location has the two lanes. They wrap around the building. Once you've ordered, you drive around the building and merge toward the drive-thru window. This one was a bit unique in that employees stood inside a small shelter-type building to take orders. I believe there was only one employee for each lane - as someone who typically goes to Keystone, this is a bit different but it worked pretty well. I ordered a 3-piece chicken strip meal upsized with an unsweetened iced tea. The drive-thru moved quickly and my order was accurate. It wasn't the best meal I've had at a Chick-fil-A, it seemed a little less than fresh, but overall it was consistent with what I've come to expect. I did not dine in on this occasion, though likely would on a future visit. The exterior seemed a bit different from other Chick-fil-A locations, however, all the familiar signage was present. The two employees I met were friendly and helpful. I suppose the enthusiasm was a notch below expectations, though I'd still take it over the vast majority of fast food experiences. Overall, this was solid if not necessarily remarkable. If the food would have been a bit more fresh, I'd have likely gone an extra star. However, this is a very solid 3-star experience and I won't hesitate to return when I'm in the area again. read more

I would like to contact the franchise owner about their employees. I contacted corporate office and they couldn't do anything to assist me. I have been to this location on east Washington street five times and all 5 times I was given the wrong order, shorted something and treated with disrespect or was literally told by a management staff, "so, what do you want me to do about it".... When I made a complaint about not getting my order. This place is a giant joke!! Don't bother trying to get what you paid for. Don't bother trying to get replacements. Don't bother trying to get an apology. Washington street businesses are bad in general but most don't charge what Chick-fil-A does and most try to make your orders right with exception to this restaurant. Corporate said this was privately owned and they would attempt to make contact with the owner and I should hear back something 3 to 5 days later. I not only did not hear back from the owner, but I called corporate a second time and was told that the owner just did not care, Or he would've reached out to me. I guess that tells you exactly how this particular Chick-fil-A feels about our hard earned money. Oh indy. Your detours have detours have detours. Today's detour took me down Washington street. I was driving along blissfully, stomach growling, a tad hangry as I notice a brand new chick fil A! I am in and out of their drive thru in under six minutes! (Yep I timed it just for kicks and giggles). The fries were hot and perfectly salted. The lemonade was tart. The chicken nuggies were exactly how I expected them to be. I shall return when Indy once again shuts down all the roads I need to take and leads me to this beautiful Chick Fil A! read more

Short review: Slow and disorganized. We did the drive through, and it took over 30 minutes to get our order. I would have just driven off and let them keep the money, except once you're in the drive through you cannot get back out. You. Are. Trapped. Orders also came out in weird patterns with cars halfway through the line getting their orders ... when you can't pull out to leave, that is terrible way to do things. She then told me my total was 10.49 MINUS tax. Taxes are only "minused" from your paycheck. I thought that was strange and asked if I'm getting a discount and she said she always says "minus tax." I ordered 2 grilled sandwiches, a large fry, and a 12 count grilled nugget with Polynesian and sweet and spicy Sriracha. The kid seemed flustered the entire time. Since I live on the east side, I figured I'd give this location a shot. In short: drive to the Southport Road location. It's worth it. I consistently use curbside as an option and this apparently isn't offered at the East Washington location, despite it being available in the app and signs are posted in the parking lot. The inside of the store reminded more of a derelict McDonalds than the friendly/clean customer service so frequently experienced at other Chick-fil-a locations. Upon receiving my food, my drink had been forgotten, and the food was lukewarm as I'd been waiting in my car for about 10 minutes after the app said my order was being brought out. Overall terrible experience. I have never had a negative experience at Chick-fil-A until yesterday. I stopped by in the evening with my son to pick up two small drinks and an ice cream. I went through the drive through the employee who took my order said she couldn't take cash and I would pay at the window. The person with an iPad and black money belt who took my cash only gave me back 7.29 when I said I don't think that's right can I get my receipt he told me no he doesn't know how to do that. so I ask the guy in an orange polo next to him if he could help him. He said no you can't get a receipt from that iPad and go to the window. When I drove to the window the employee just said move forward and walked away. A few minutes later a different guy brings me someone else's order it was a large order for the car behind me. so we wait there no one comes. so I back up close to the drive through window again only for the vehicle behind me that just pulled up to honk his car and another guy says pull your car up. I said I did and no one came I wasn't charged correctly, I asked for my receipt I was told to get it at the window, at the window I was not able to speak the cashier said move forward and walked away. I said they tried to give me a customer large order that was not mine. I again asked for my drinks and receipt. The guy tried to add it on his Apple Watch. said he would take care and went back inside. Next he came back out a few minutes later with the drinks and ice cream cup but no receipt. I asked again for the receipt he said he gave it to me I showed him the cup holder he handed me that had a sticker but I had no receipt. he comes back again and has a receipt with 6.00 and some change I showed him I only got 7.29 back so I did not get my change from my 20.00 correctly. He went back inside again. Came back with 4 5.00 bills. he said here is all your money back. Overall I will never go back. I don't live by this location my son had an event for his preschool in the New Palestine area. I trust Chick-flI-A so that's the only reason we stopped there. This place is miss managed nothing like any other of the franchise. When I walked in I watched people that ordered after customers get their food first and talking to the employees which you can tell they knew each other. Also, I ordered a market salad.
