I never thought I would give CFA a poor review. This one comes down to pickles. I recently moved, so I have a new CFA near me. CFA has a standard of high quality service and food. That is why this bothers me so much. I can't believe someone knew this was unacceptable, yet did it anyway. So very intentional! I purchased two meals. With obtaining a new home, I had work to do on my day off from work. I knew I needed a lunch and a dinner, so I ordered the nugget meal and the spices chicken meal. I ate the nuggets for my lunch and saved the spicy chicken for my dinner. When I was ready for my dinner, I had to deconstruct the sandwich to warm it up in the oven. That's when I discovered the pickle situation. I usually order extra pickles, but in my haste, I forgot. I'm fine with the three pickles rule CFA has, but the pickle quality is another story. I know it seems small to complain about pickles, but I love pickles. More importantly, as stated before, this was so blatantly intentional! If this was any other fast food chain, I would never think anything of it. I choose CFA for their standards and this time, they were not met. I hope the manager sees this and speaks with the crew. I would suggest the rule of them should be, if you wouldn't pick those pickle for your sandwich, don't put them on someone else's sandwich. Or even better, if it doesn't look commercial worthy, don't serve it. Aside from the pickles, or lack there of, the other items of the meals did not disappoint. I was just shocked the pickles were served from a CFA. I write reviews for every new place I try. Most of mine are 4 & 5 stars. It truly pains me to give less than that. Chick-fil-A has always been the best fast food franchise in the country. They have the best food (in particular, the chicken). They are the most well run and organized. By far, they have the best people and service. I was so sick yesterday, I couldn't even make myself a chicken soup. Never having tried Chick-fil-A's chicken soup, I thought why not and drove over. I didn't want to infect anyone, so I pulled up to the drive thru and rubbed Purell on my hands. The guy was very polite taking my order even though my voice was horse and I kept coughing. I ordered the chicken noodle soup (get the large) with crackers and a Dr Pepper. I gave him my card and he gave it back with my receipt, food, and drink. He said the usual "my pleasure" when I thanked him. He stopped, looked me in the eye and said, "And hey, get better man. Ok?" That is a good kid. I don't know where they get their employees from, but they are great. The chicken noodle soup and crackers hit the spot! It was delicious and made me feel good. It energized me when I really needed it. God bless this restaurant. Today is Sunday. They are not open, nor should they be. So, I made my own chicken soup. Saaad day at Chick-fil-A. First off, most of everyone knows how they run and how very busy they get. So much so, that now they have employees designated at the drive-thrus. So my experience started like a normal wait time at chick-fil-A. I unfortunately got on the slowest lane. I get it, people are people and take their time. However, I also noticed that the employee was not going up to each car but was waiting for the cars to come to her. Okaaaay, not a big deal but kind of was when I noticed her co-worker (who I assume is a lead because of the grey collar shirt he had one) was urgently going after each car not letting the line get too long or have consumers in despair. Then, I noticed she also had absolutely no smile, warm welcoming or the hospitality that Chick-fil-A (and EVERYONE) knows them for! Like girl, I feel you. I'm tired too but you got to fake it 'till you make it-especially if you the one taking orders! Save that lame energy for when you're restocking, not dealing with customers. BUT! I will not say she is a lost cause because she looked out for me by giving me savings on my meal order since I ordered a water vs a fountain drink. I truly appreciate you for that girl. Now, the reason I am going off on this rant really is because I ordered nuggets and I got NO SAUCE. I literally drove away, parked at my destination and ate some fries just to notice that there was no sauce to dip them into. AND I GOT NUGGETS?! How do you put 3 sauces on my receipt but not in my bag?! Oh, I was livid (and hangry). I have never gone back to a restaurant after they've messed up my order but I had to this time. I showed up, receipt in hand (just in case) and I was going in fully prepared to give them my two cents and all that came out my mouth was "Can I have some Chick-fil-A sauce?" That was lame I thought, since I was soo prepared to let out my fury but upon reaching these innocent employees who had done nothing wrong, I retracted. But then as I turned my back to walk away I hear them laughing at me!! So now here we are, writing this yelp review because, who else will hear this dumb story out? My chicken salad sandwich was OK. The best part of my pre-made sandwich were the thick slices of whole grain bread. The worse part was the plastic case it came in. Everything else they make here seems fresh and out of the box; too bad my sandwich wasn't. The chicken salad ranked as good as something I'd get from Kroger; this chain stakes their reputation on quality and taste. Chick, you failed on both accounts. I'm honestly surprised at how horrible this location is. I've been going to chick fil a for years and this location is beyond the worse one. Service is great & the employees are nice but every time I've gotten a meal, it's either over cooked or burnt. Their frosted lemonade & strawberry shakes taste like milk with no flavoring. Speedy service turned into a stomach nightmare. Soon as I ate a sandwich from here the other week, I felt really ill. Head was hurting, which I though was sinuses. However, my stomach started feeling queasy too. Laying in bed didnt help. Sitting up was worse. I even felt nauseousas well. Around midnight, I had a throwup spell that made my stomache pretty sensitive for a couple of days. Well today i decided to treat myself to a very tasty meal.I thought about going to five guys but then i remembered my last review of the not so good burger and under cooked fries.So thats when my brain was like ding ding ding Chickfila never disappoints plus i wanted an amazing milkshake. So i ordered the very spicy and delis chicken sandwhich just plain because i usually do it up with some chickfila sauce,a lil light mayo and a smudge of mustard.So good.... The fries were a nice compliment to my spicy sandwhich with some heinz ketchup I also got three chicken tenders i dipped them in chickfila sauce and man they were to die for.So while i was eating them i felt like they could use some of the hotsauce that they offer as it would add some more flavor to the already great taste. Last but not least i wanted to try the cookie sundae.It was small but didnt disappoint.but next time i will try and order plain icecream in a cup.Anyway i hope this helps someone enjoy a good meal for only $10. read more
