So...what is there to say about chick-fil-a that you might not already know? Not sure what it's like in your town, but around these parts the drive thru line always looks like rush hour traffic pretty much any time of day. One time I literally thought a parking lot of an unrelated business next door was full...but it was the line of cars snaked forward and backward. Servers are out there taking orders and it seems fairly efficient. But that's not what I wanted to talk about. To My Keto or Low-carb Eaters Out There You have to try the grilled chicken nuggets! They are phenomenal! Juicy with a nice grilled taste. I got an order of 12. Only 210 calories, 3g of carbs and 38g of protein! The sauces are your call since most of them have sugar, but I did dip in the bbq sauce. That's another 9g of carbs so a total of 12g. Next time I'll probably just dip them in a mustard sauce from home or something. I'm gonna stay on the hunt for other fast food options like this for those of us trying to keep carbs low and protein high. read more

The inside is kept clean if you want to order inside, but they have such an efficient system outside, there's really no need. Use their app or go through the drive-thru. There's usually a line, but it goes very fast with staff directing the flow efficiently. For food, their spicy chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a Cherry Coke is my go-to. Chick-fil-A why do you gotta get so political? Ugh. I had to confess to my brother that I went to Chick-fil-A and...enjoyed it. To my surprise, many of my friends have encountered the same dilemma. To your surprise, I never tried Chick-fil-A in California and my first time was in Michigan at this location. My experience was great-- quick friendly customer service, clean spacious location, moist tender juicy chicken, kickbutt app with rewards, mouth-watering sauces, crispy fresh fries. What more could a gal want? Location is on 28th near the Woodland Mall where all the buzz is. It's always busy but it's refreshing to see where 90% of Grand Rapidians go. This is probably my favorite one. It runs like a well oiled machine. I usually go early, early morning or afternoon. My favorite items for breakfast are the chick minis or the chicken biscuits with a little tiny but of honey. For lunch/dinner I like the market salad with cold grilled chicken or the cool chicken wrap. My favorite seasonal shakes are mint chocolate in winter, and the peach shake in summer. Love the food.. hate the service. They have severely gone downhill. Honestly to the point where I'm about done giving them my business. Last couple of times we've done pickup w the app, the order was missing items. Today I ordered on the app and no more pickup, you can only go through the drive thru. Which it took 27 minutes sitting in the line only to pull up to the window and be told they haven't even started my order. Good grief. Took an extra 5 minutes waiting curbside. Ate lunch at Chick Fil A today and what a disappointment. My wife and I had the Crispy Chicken sandy and medium fries. The fries were limp and soggy, not at all appealing while the chicken didn't cover the already small bun. I'll admit the two pickles were about the same size as the meat. Inside seating is still closed. Outdoor seating is disgusting. Even if they clean the table tops, the staff fails to sweep under the tables. LARGE food particles under the tables attract flies and other bugs. When a customer sits with fresh food at that table, guess where the flies end up? Last 2 times I've ate the food outdoors, developed a sick stomach. With Covid-19, and other diseases, rampant in Michigan, the lack of concern by the manager was disturbing. This place is amazing! I always have the best customer service in the whole wide world there. I usually get there during peak times, and I always have this cringe feeling when I see such a long line. But Chick-fil-A has mastered line management! Seriously! I think our secretary of state office should come and observe Chick-fil-A for about a week and see how well they can manage their life based on how Chick-fil-A does their line! Anyway, I love their light frozen lemonade, and their salads! The naked nuggets are fast lunch for someone who's gluten-free and trying to increase protein. I have never had a problem asking for anything special. They always have a smile on their face always happy to greet everyone and I fly through that really long line in less than 5 minutes. We had the best experience here on our way home from up north. First, chick-fil-a always provides the best customer service. I've never had anyone greet me with anything but a smile. However, this was our first time at this location, and my interaction with Yolanda, the employee sweeping the dining room, truly stuck with me. She was so pleasant, friendly and truly looked as if she enjoyed her job. She greeted our table, asked how we were doing, and interacted with my 13 month old. She asked us if she could help us in any way, or if she could get us anything else to make our experience more enjoyable. She was honestly so sweet. The only thing bad I can say about this place is there needs to be one closer to where I live. Please locate one in Cedar Springs, Michigan. Driving more than 20 minutes means we don't eat CFA enough. My boy cannot eat wheat so the grilled chicken nuggets are a real treat for him. If your going to come here to get yourself food then you won't be disappointed but if your getting your family a meal sadly, this isn't where you want to go. They have almost ALWAYS gotten my order wrong whenever I get my family food and I don't even order that much. Just sandwiches without the drinks and occasionally fries. I don't see why people love this chain so much. It's just useless calories with no taste. If I had known they were anti-gay, definitely would not have even brought my money here. My girlfriend and I shared a chicken sandwich and grilled chicken nuggets. My girlfriend loved their sauce, she literally drank them but she didn't think the food itself were great. While one is opening up in Toronto, I am whatever about. Can't wait to see the disappointment in every Canadian eyes when they realized it's not better than any other chains. Oct. 20, around 5:30 pm: Was given my food with a couple of cars in front of me. When there was only one car remaining, they were told to pull forward one car length, blocking the exit. Many times I am told to pull over and park in a space or along the curb, but not these people. I asked the CFA girl if she had told them to park there, blocking everyone. She said yes. Eventually, their food was brought out. In two loads. Then there was the conversation about the food. Then the CFA girl had to get them straws. Then they sat there and inspected their order. Why weren't they told to pull over and park like I am told to? Why was I forced to sit there for several minutes when I could have easily gone on my way if they had been told to pull over? Why did they get preferential treatment? Who trained the CFA girl to show certain kinds of customers better treatment than other kinds? Who gave her the authority to block customers in line while she tends to her preferred people? It's a little thing, right? But it's the little things that make a difference. This little CFA girl needs to be properly trained, unless that's how CFA wants to treat its customers. She needs to be taught that all customers matter. Until then, she needs to be moved into a position where she does not interact with customers. This has soured me on CFA. It will be a long time before I return. Chick-fil-A FAIL? Never have I ever thought those two words could be used together. Background: I grew up in the South and love love LOVE Chick-fil-A. I've only ever had two service issues with Chick-fil-A's and they both were from this location's drive thru. Here's what happened: They forgot my side salad. Ok, no big deal as "you don't make friends with salad." However, since I should eat my greens and this was the second time they forgot an item on the drive thru, I decided to drive the 15 minutes back to the restaurant and retrieve it along with that ever-so-polite standard Southern hospitality apology. The response I got: A) Newbie at the window - still in training (I understand) B) They thought I was supposed to pull forward and wait in the lot for someone to bring me the salad (They didn't tell me this) C) Here's your salad (great) D) No apology (wait, what?) I think about this in the car getting ready to leave, and decide maybe I need to revisit this conversation with a manager. That didn't seem like the Chick-fil-A I grew up with and absolutely adore! The manager's response: A) Yes, they have some new employees (I still understand) B) Same explanation (Ok) C) Enjoy your salad (Ok) D) Still no apology After a brief awkward bout of looking at each other, I depart. So, what do I do? Give up on going to Chick-fil-A? No way, that's punishing me and depriving me of the yummy food from the unparalleled King of Fast Food. Instead, I'll do what people are trained to do now - log a complaint online. All I know is that if I were the owner-operator of the fastest growing and super successful chain restaurant here in Grand Rapids, I'd re-focus my efforts to match the core principles that make Chick-fil-A great, and it starts with training the staff to be courteous, kind, polite and truly authentic when they leave you with those famous words: "My pleasure!" Oh, and my other bit of advice: check your order before you leave the drive thru, even if there are 120 cars behind you waiting for their food. read more

This chick fil a gave me the worst fast food experience I have ever experienced. Which I didn't think was possible for a chick fil a, but never the less, after taking my order I proceeded to the window (mind you after traveling for work multiple hours) and they told me that they couldn't give me any food because they threw it out since it was close to closing. The manager made a terrible decision and ordered his staff to stand behind him in his decision even though they seemed embarrassed to be sharing the hard news. I sent a concern to the restaurant owner and all she responded with was... you got a refund. You came at close. Come again.
