I went to this location multiple times in 2023-2025. They opened in September 2023, which was the 2nd location in MD. This is about 15 miles from my home, which isn't too far. Then, Columbia location opened, which is closer at about 10 miles. The first location in MD was way up in Towson. I was up that way in March 2023 for a trivia tournament and thought to get an early lunch at Raising Cane's as I was excited to try at the time the only location in MD, but parking was a pain and line was too long. So, I ended up eating at the trivia tournament venue. Then, in September 2023, they opened this 2nd MD location here on a Friday. I went on its 2nd day that Saturday as coincidentally, I had a trivia tournament. It was a madhouse on route 3 in the left lane getting in here. I ended up parking on the Wendy's side as it was too hectic in there; you're not supposed to do that, and I never did that again, but that 1st weekend was hectic. Line was long, but they were going as quickly as they could. I was a bit nervous about my timing, but eventually, I got my food, ate a bit quicker than usual, and drove the 5 minutes to the trivia tournament. It was delicious. I love the chicken tenders, fries, & Texas toast here. I don't really like coleslaw, but I don't mind theirs. The baskets come with a drink, and I get half sweet/half unsweet tea every time, and it's freshly brewed. My girlfriend & I went to this location a couple of times mostly in 2024. Chicken baskets are always on point. In June 2024, we bumped into someone from trivia, which we three were going to tournament. He loved Raising Cane's probably even more than me. He said he lived very close to here and would come here sometimes multiple times a week. He also replaced fries (which is unhealthy) with more Texas toast (which is also unhealthy but maybe less so), and he loved the Texas toast more than fries. Although, I suppose that was to deter further impact on a kichen that was overwhelmed. Often, the problem begins and ends with lack of good or simply sufficient staff. But with 20% gratuity included, perhaps there isn't any need to elevate their game. I'll leave it there. Now onto my personal saga, upon our arrival, the large parties that apparently wore out the kitchen were well into their entrees or desserts. We arrived at 7:10, for 7:15 reservation (making a reservation is stongly suggested, BTW). We had heard about the food and were happy to try it. But after waiting ten minutes to be given water and an additional five minutes to have our order taken, I am giving the side-eye to everything moving. Once the ordering was done I had "a whole thirty minutes" to take it all in. I only ordered an appetizer, jerk chicken eggrolls. And they were not very tasty--definitely not after thirty minutes of anticipation. Others in my family ordered catfish, cajun pasta and gumbo. All are popular dishes for this establishment. But each dish was presented in five minute increments, beginning at 7:45, which absolutely blew my mind. Everyone was pleased with their order though. Again, my thought is staffing isn't up to par in quantity or quality. Being advised of the kitchen being slowed by two large parties is common in a full restaurant. But there were only four additional tables being served after our arrival. Miss Toya's food may be wonderful, but if it takes a whole hour to get your meal, the piss-tivity due to the long wait takes your positive outlook away. I will not return.

Somehow, when my wife got back to the restaurant, they hadn't even started making it. And the same manager who had all that energy for Uber Eats? Suddenly he was ducked off in the back and wouldn't even come out to speak to my wife. The young employee at the counter was apologetic, and I appreciate that, but it wasn't his responsibility to clean up the manager's mess. The manager already knew the kind of night we'd had and should've come out and handled the situation himself. Then, to make matters worse, the woman making the food in the back decided to say in Spanish that she KNOWS she put the chicken in the bag--basically insinuating that we were trying to get over on them. No, you didn't. And just like she assumed my wife wouldn't understand what she was saying--she did. I understand Wingstop couldn't control what the Uber Eats driver did. I'm not blaming them for that. But dropping the ball on the replacement order, leaving half the food out, not having the missing food ready when we came BACK, the manager hiding in the back, and an employee insinuating that we're lying? That's ALL on Wingstop. You would've thought that after knowing our original order had already been stolen, they would've gone out of their way to make sure our pickup order was right. Instead, we had to jump through every hurdle imaginable just to get the food we paid for. And through all of that, not once were we offered any type of accommodation for the inconvenience. My boyfriend ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with fries and also wanted a two-piece chicken, but was told they only had dark meat, which he doesn't eat. I ordered a three-piece fried chicken meal with plantains, rice and a horchata. I was a little put off that they only had dark meat, but whatever. I had hyped this place up so much that I was determined for him to try it. We decided to eat inside because we're a decent drive away and I wanted him to have the food fresh and hot. Then we walked over to the drink station. Disgusting--drink stains all over the counter, everything looked sticky and unclean, and there was even a nice little bug sitting on the counter to greet us :-) Photos attached. Then somehow it takes them SEVEN MORE MINUTES to return the cash my boyfriend paid with. I can only assume they were stalling to see if our food would magically appear. Spoiler alert: it did not. The customer service made it worse. The young gentleman working the register was talking, joking, and playing around with his coworker while trying to take our order. Anytime we asked what was happening with our food, all we got was: Him telling the kitchen "They're waiting on orders." Or: "Sorry, it's just busy." I'M SORRY, because "busy" was not in the room with us. There was basically no one there! And if you're working the front counter during a slow period, why is the drink station dirty? Why are tables covered in old plates? Why is there food on the floor? Why are the napkins and straws not stocked? If the kitchen is backed up, COMMUNICATE THAT. Tell customers upfront there's a 30-40+ minute wait. Check on delayed orders. Apologize. Do something besides repeatedly saying "they're waiting on orders" like that helps anything. Unfortunately, this isn't even my first ridiculous wait here. The last time I came through the drive-thru, I asked for a large side of beans. The employee didn't understand what I wanted, even after I explained it multiple times, and gave me a regular size anyway. I sent my sister inside afterward to purchase the large beans I originally wanted. She waited 20 minutes. FOR BEANS. BEANS. It's insanity. This location seriously struggles to get orders out within a reasonable amount of time, and after this experience, I'm done taking chances. So yeah...my Pollo Campero obsession was very much short-lived. I went from hyping this place up to everybody I know to being embarrassed that I dragged my boyfriend here and spent 40+ minutes telling him, "I swear the food is good!" while we sat in a dirty restaurant and never actually received any food.
