So I defaulted to a Chicken Deluxe Sandwich Combo (lettuce, tomato, fries, soft drink & Mango Peach Pie), on what appeared to be something like a Martin Potato Roll. It was a solid clucker sammy; good size fillet, semi crisp coating, simple mayo-based house sauce - but not comparable to the much larger, crisper Popeye's version; not to mention that the Pop-I store also sold all pieces of chicken separately and in combination. I didn't have to compromise. The fries are thinner than most fast food shops , but had good crunch and saltiness. The tropical juice collection is unique and the most distinct and flavorful part of the Jollibee's menu. I can't speak to their noodle offerings as I haven't tried them yet. I enjoyed the Mango Peach Pie (deep fried wrap), and their freebee special that I lucked into. Sweet and crisp like a dessert egg roll. This shop appears to be a favorite of the local Pinoy community which adds a nice cultural touch to the ambiance here. 3.5 Southeast Asian Stars. The chicken sandwich tasted just ok and like any other restaurant. The fries tasted like normal fries. The fried chicken was ok and tasted better with the gravy. The peach mango pie was delicious and probably the best part of the meal. The pineapple quencher was too watered down. Overall: I might come back here if they fixed their service, had a cleaner dining area and when the food tastes a little better. The line for the drive through was rather long. I waited for almost 1 hour to place an order in the drive through. Unfortunately, during this time there were teenagers going in and coming out with bags of food. These were not Uber eats employees. They were most likely friends of the employees on shift. Once I got up to the drive through speaker I was then told there was no more food. I've never heard of any Mcdonalds say they ran out of food. McDonald's historically on average can serve 1500-2000 servings per day. This employee told me they ran out of food and was giving away food to friends then tell a paying customer there is no more food. This is unacceptable. He also told Me the store was closed at 9pm. The food was served in paper plates and plastic utensils, which i wish was not the case because the less waste the better for the environment but I get it though the manpower is lacking! I was not informed that there was an extra $1 charge for the whipped cream in my coffee. I wouldve opted out of the whipped cream. The people were nice all throughout but it was just those two things that can be improved on! BUT the Ube pandesal with cheese was sooooo good and unexpected. It seems like cream cheese was used as the filling and they were generous with it too.
