You have the option to choose the exact spice level you want ranging from completely mild (no heat) to some super spicy ones. I ended up ordering one of the more middle ones. The staff were super friendly for a fast food chain which I always appreciate and I even saw some employees on their meal breaks enjoying some food from the store which to me is a great sign. The chicken was super juicy and crispy on the outside and the fries were delicious and hot when we got them. Inside, it is like a higher tier fast food ambiance similar to a Chick fil a or Portillo's level of niceness.

I understand that mistakes happen, but this was a pretty frustrating mistake. There is a huge difference between mild and the hottest spice level. I ordered mild for a reason, and I wasn't expecting to receive something that was basically the complete opposite of what I asked for. I was really looking forward to my food, but after taking a bite, I immediately knew something was wrong. The chicken was incredibly spicy, and I couldn't enjoy my meal. It was especially frustrating because I had specifically ordered mild. I hope Will and the rest of the staff are more careful with orders in the future. Customers should be able to trust that when they select a certain spice level, they're going to receive that exact level. Overall, this was a really disappointing experience. I know, I know…read more.. I've always been a supporter of the non-chain, independent restaurant where the menu is (hopefully) stacked with chef- created entrees designed to attract similar minded YELPers. So what am I doing writing a review on a KFC experience? The answer is simple...I was hungry and the Colonel was calling from across the street from where I was shopping! I confess that I have had a couple of chicken sandwiches from McDonalds (lousy) and more than a few from Chick-Fil-A (which is far superior to the McD version as well as the rest of the fast food category). I found the sandwich served up by The Colonel today (see photo which isn't a great representation, I'm afraid) was miles better than the Chick Fil version. Not only was the bun more attractive (and better tasting) than Chick Fil, but the pickles (count 'em- 3) actually contributed to the overall taste. But more than anything, the chicken was tastier and larger than any of the competitors mentioned above as well as 80% of those offered at full service restaurants. In terms of straight up value the Colonel serves up a satisfying portion at about $9.00 less than our friends who provide background music and real forks! So, as of now this YELPer is a solid believer in the Colonel's chicken sandwich. I'd encourage others to swallow any false pride and give it a try when he calls you from across the street. Or, at least fess up that you've also visited a KFC and have been converted to a believer of the guy's chicken sandwich.

Raising Cane's has a very limited menu, pretty much just chicken fingers, texas toast, coleslaw, cane's sauce, and beverages such as lemonade and sweet tea. My favorite trick is to get the Box Combo and then substitute the coleslaw for an additional piece of texas toast. Their chicken is so juicy and crunchy in just the perfect way, but what makes this place so special is their special cane's sauce. I have absolutely no idea what is in this beautiful coral colored sauce, but it is the nectar of the gods - worth paying for a few extra! This location is quite clean and has some fun locally themed decor.
