    Chicken Tortilla Soup
    Jeanette C.

We stopped here as we were driving to visit grandpa in VA! I really wish the lobby was open 'cause I reaaalllyy needed to use the restroom, but I had to wait a little bit longer until we made it to the gas station. Since it was an eat while we drive kinda meal, I was hesitant to order the Chicken Tortilla Soup (my husband tends to have road rage), but it was a great choice! I didn't spill it and it warmed my soul on that snowy day. The Spicy Chicken Deluxe sandwich was also delicious (it was my husband's, but I stole a few bites!)

    No bacon

We bought two chicken sandwiches on Saturday with bacon and drove to my son practice to find out they didn't put bacon on the sandwich's. When you get charged for half a pound of bacon and get none that sucks. We were really busy and didn't call Saturday and they are closed Sunday so I called today and have pictures and was told to bad. It's sad you pay premium prices and get worse customer service than McDonald's.

It's rare to go to a chick-fil-a drive thru and not have to wait. We must have been really early. The manager said he would bring our "vittles" right away. My chicken egg and sausage was awesome. RJ said his sausage egg and cheese was "fine" but he wasn't crazy about the English muffin.

A 'Frosted' lemonade, they are great. But getting a large, didn't get cup filled all the today :(

Food is always very good and fresh. Employees always smile and seem to enjoy their job. Cookies and cream shakes are the best!

Nothing wrong with our visit to this chic-fil-a today. Good service, fine food quality. Clean bathrooms. Not a bad 81 stop!

Recently, I stopped in Bristol (VA) to check out the updated casino/hotel close to the highway…read more However, I did not care for the food options offered there, so I decided to head into the downtown area of Bristol (VA) for dinner. The downtown area was busy since there was a high school prom going on that evening. I wanted real Mexican food and walked into Mas Tequla Mexican Bar & Grill, which was moderately busy in the dining room, but no one was sitting at the bar. I took a seat up at the bar since I was solo and received prompt service after sitting down in the high seat. I was given a laminated menu book and requested ice water. I was also given a complementary basket of warm chips and mild salsa. The bright dining room has table seating, booth back seating, colorful painted wall murals and a white throne too. There is also outdoor patio seating. The food menu offerings a selection of appetizers, wings, nachos, tortilla soup, salads, street tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chimichangas, fajitas, combination plates, specialties (seafood, chicken, steak, carnitas mixed), vegetarian dinners, huevos dishes, desserts, and lunch specials (opening until 2:30pm Mon-Sat/$1 more other times). The bar offers 14 draft beers, beer bottles/cans, wine, mixed drinks, tequila and margaritas. I decided on the Steak Fajitas ($15.99 plus tax) which was served in about 15 minutes after ordering. The grilled steak pieces, bell peppers, onions, & tomatoes were served very hot on a skillet, but not sizzling, served with Mexican rice, beans (black beans), chopped lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole on the side. Two warm flour tortillas were provided, but four tortillas would've been more appropriate. The steak fajitas had a good mix of flavors and very filling. I did get a to-go box for some of the leftovers. After I was done, I requested the check which was $18.45 with taxes & fees and before tip. The fajitas overall tasted just fine and the service here was good too.

Debated on leaving and n the first 5min of being there, but waited it out. 3 bites of my hard shell beef taco "supreme" that didn't have sour cream, we decided to leave! I paid and tipped, although I would have never, but the waiter was sweet annnd it wasn't his fault because he didn't cook. I will never ever go back! The worst quality of meat! The worst salsa I've ever had! The worst basic beef tacos I've ever had! Amigos in JC is, by far, the best ever compared to this place. You ruined a date night! Didn't stay long enough to take a pic! My husband ordered an enchilada and I promised him this was not at all how they should taste.

The main building is a lovely and spacious modern inn that balances comfort and traditional elements with open and wide modern floor plans and bright spaces in a pleasing way while retaining the cozy fireplace experiences of more traditional settings. A first floor outdoor veranda opposite the main entrance stretches the length of the main building overlooking the well groomed hillside vineyards and a stocked, picturesque fishing pond. The hillside stretches up the horizon and with the westward facing veranda, offers stunning sunset views along with wine service. Below is a patio off the main restaurant and bar offering even more seating around fire pits with couches and Adirondack chairs with appetizer and drinks available for the bar/restaurant. We toured a king 2 room suite with a large sitting area separated from an equally large and well appointed sleeping area with a private large balcony that also faced the western sunset over the vineyards. The rooms were described as more akin to an apartment whereas the 9 onsite yurts accommodations were described more akin to a condo, described as pet friendly and a quiet community. Behind the yurts is a large barn structure that serves as a tasting room with an outdoor seating area with Edison lights strung around the overhang creating a warm space to enjoy the vineyards end production, currently nine wine vintages. Beside the main building are two much larger shaped yurt structures housing a full fitness center and a spa as will as an outdoor pool. We dined at Hickory for dinner and enjoyed their farm to table, Appalachia oriented menus. That will be a separate review but it hits 10/10 for hospitality, service, presentation and food excellence. We plan a fall trip for an overnight stay when the vineyards come in just before harvest to get the full experience! Also, we initially had a glass of their Chardonnay and being pleased with this, we opted to enjoy a bottle with dinner even though the wine list had equally excellent choices from familiar vineyards. This is highly recommended!
