My little brother and I were in the area, and he recommended this place since he had already tried…read moreit at another location. I decided to follow his lead, and we both ordered the tender slider meal with fries. We also paid extra for the cheese sauce for the fries. One thing I really like is that you can customize the spice level on the chicken tenders. That's especially nice for my wife because she's not a big fan of spicy food. While we waited for our food, I had a chance to check out the atmosphere. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and they also offer outdoor seating. I really liked the graffiti-style artwork throughout the walls, which gave the place a fun and energetic vibe. The service was good, and we didn't have to wait very long for our food. Now, let's talk about the chicken tender--it was huge! It was actually bigger than the soft potato bun, which really impressed me. The tender was fully coated in their spice seasoning, giving it a nice red color. We ordered it hot, and I'm glad we did because the spice level was just right for us. The tender was drizzled with their signature sauce, which was creamy with a slight sweetness that helped balance out the heat. The slider also came with coleslaw and a pickle. Overall, the sandwich had great presentation, flavor, and texture. The crinkle-cut fries were pretty basic but had a light Cajun seasoning. The cheese sauce was creamy with a mild flavor that reminded me of nacho cheese. One thing I noticed is that the meal doesn't come with a beverage, which was a little surprising. Overall, I was really satisfied with the chicken slider. I'd definitely come back again, especially with my wife. The closest location to us is in the Schaumburg area, so I'm looking forward to bringing her along next time.

The not-chicken (cauliflower) is really good, especially at a hot spice level. Employees are usually very friendly and the place is always clean (sometimes it's a little sticky by the pop machine, but that is to be expected). My only complaint is that they need to crank the a/c in the summer because it gets very hot in there. Eating hot wings in a sauna is crazy.

We visited for National Hamburger Day, hoping to use the "free burger with purchase" app deal…read more Unfortunately, the app crashed, and since the deal was app-exclusive, we couldn't redeem it. The manager did try to make things right by offering a 10% discount on our total order, which we appreciated. However, the food itself was pretty mediocre. The burgers were bland, and the tacos were incredibly dry. Surprisingly, the best part of the meal was the curly fries--which tasted exactly like Arby's (ironic, considering this location used to be an Arby's). To top it off, the service was incredibly slow, and it took forever to get our food. On the bright side, the staff was very friendly, but the slow service and subpar food mean we probably won't be back.

There was a young man who kept saying, I am sorry we are short staffed today. Once we got the food everything was prepared perfectly and was delicious as expected. I ordered a southwest chicken sandwich that was on the spicier side but the chicken wasn't exactly the best quality, it was chewy, had a lot of rubbery pieces. Overall it was an ok lunch, I'm not sure I'd return for a sandwich even though the flavour was delicious, the meat was a little suspicious!

I had always seen this little place on my way home from the gym and I decided to stop in and I tried a few of their freezer take home meals. I was skeptical, but as I tried the first meal I couldn't believe how great it tasted, it tasted like a cheat meal if I'm being honest!!! (it was the BBQ Beef Mac and Cheese) and since I'm counting calories right now, how low of calories were in it After enjoying that and a few other frozen meals I decided to order some of the fresh meals from their meal plan that you pick up either on Sunday or Monday. The cool thing with them is it's not a subscription, I can buy however many meals I want, if I want to save some money, I can but 10 meals which makes each meal only $7.70 each. If I had a garage fridge you better bet I would take advantage of the 21+ meals for $6.85 a meal! I'm super excited I found this place and how affordable it is compared to factor and other similar services, not to mention how yummy the food has been so far! The pizzas they have there are AMAZING! If they have the Taco pizza make sure to grab one, or the buffalo chicken one. You can eat the whole thing and it fits within my macros! Also, hot tip, The taco pizza is especially amazing dipped in a bit of plain green yogurt and ortega taco sauce! It is honestly one of my current favorite meals, it also feels like a cheat meal, except it isn't! I had a new smoothie today and it was amazing, ask for a starberries and cream smoothie! What a TREAT!!!! I might just have to go back tomorrow and get another one when I pick up my meals for the week! The owner is very very nice and all of the people who work there are great. They always recognize me when I come in now, which is such a nice touch! This place is a no brainer if you are a busy person like me who wants to eat healthy! The only thing I haven't tried yet is a meal from their menu for dine in, but I plan to do that soon with some friends with Orange Theory after class :)

I stopped by Portillo's with my wife and placed my order outside as usual…read more Got up to the pickup window, and the woman read off the list to make sure it was mine. I told her there were two items on the list that I did not order. I got a frown, and a hesitation that said "Not my problem". She went inside, and came back saying that the Manager was going to refund my card, and I can just keep the extra items. I waited over two weeks with no refund. I called the location and asked for the Manager who said "hold on". Then the same guy comes to the phone and says he is the Manager. I explained what happened and he said "I cannot refund anything here, it has to be done by Corporate". I told him that I had been lied to when they botched my order. He offered to give me the phone number to corporate, or some coupons. I accepted the coupons, gave him my email and phone number, and waited two weeks for the coupons. Nothing. Checked my spam every day. Nothing. Another lie. The company I work for reached some goal they had set, and were getting Portillo's for everyone three days ago. I ordered the Big Italian Beef Sandwich. It showed up with very little beef in the bread. I mean not even enough to fill the regular size one. They charged $10.69 for a longer bread, it was not wet like I ordered. and it had hot peppers instead of sweet peppers. Nothing like I am used to, and nothing like the photos. Failure once again. I am going to go to the Crystal Lake location and order the same sandwich. If it is lacking, then Portillo's corporate is making a big mistake. If it is as good as it should be, then the Algonquin location needs to find a new Manager A.S.A.P.
