Preface: I'm from LA, just up here visiting the folks. I KNOW my breakfast burrito game. .. Ok kids now Lemoore is basically the size of my neighborhood in LA. All this place is missing is Aunt Bee and Barney Fife and you'd basically have Mayberry. So when I went looking for breakfast and Yelp tells me theres a 5 star burrito spot about a mile from my folks house, I'm obliged to check it out. Parking is on the street, and its FREE (this is a HUGE deal in los angeles). The place itself is the smallest spot I've been in. No tables, a few chairs to sit in while you wait. Quite literally a hole in thewall. The burrito I got was the FatBoy. I got it because you get to choose three meats to go in it, and because it's my favorite type of Harley. While my order was being prepared, I asked about the massive strawberry and cream filled croissants. They bake them in house and they are only available Friday and Saturday. ... ah well, next trip... My burrito was YUGE, and it was amazing. Wanna get burrito nerdy with me? Of course you do. 1. The tortilla was fresh and chewy. No hard or stalespots. 2. The eggs were perfectly scrambled and seasoned, no overcooked, weepy mess here, just fluffy egg clouds. 3. This is a big one, the meat to potato ratio is on point. You get meat and potatoes in every bite. 4. Spillage...come on, you know a stuffed burrito is just as spill-ready as a pastrami Reuben. I judge them by "what spills out". Here, the thing is so full of meat that meat was the spill-out. (Its usually rice or beans of some sort in the burrito world). Now, I would ding them on the cheese not quite being melted. .. I should... but I'm not going to because I'm full, fat, and happy. But next time guys, make sure that cheese I melted ya'know?. My food-bomb set me back $10, and I think it was definitely a fair deal. I mean you could very well split this monster burrito with a friend and be sated. Overall absolutely a 5 star burrito and I will return for it whenever I come see the folks. TLDR: Free street parking. Small space inside. Special desserts on friday/Saturday only. Service is good and fast beside the point I ate there country chick breakfast burrito and got food poisoning from it I'm 100% positive it was there food only thing I ate after 20 minutes my stomach started to hurt threw up and got bad diarrhea started to sweat from my body then got cold in 100 degree weather ended up going to the hospital and got treated I've gone there for a long time not sure what's going on maybe bad old or raw food but this was not fun read more

I'm not going to get into an online battle with you Sophia and I'm not going to resort to calling you names or accuse you of lying, a courtesy you did not extend to me. I will refer readers to the entirety of my submissions regarding your establishment. I have submitted a total of four reviews of your business. The first two were absolutely glowing because the food and service were amazing! The third, reflected my concern that the service may have been slipping which I hated to see and hoped the review would prevent. When I initially called your establishment the other day, I wanted to ensure you were not going to be closing early as does happen on occasion when you run out of ingredients (a situation that no doubt occurs due to the fact that the food remains amazing.) I interacted with the young lady and the conversation was pleasant and I assured her I would call back shortly once I had obtained my neighbor's order. When I called back, I was not rude nor short with the young lady and she was pleasant and polite with me as well. I did misunderstand initially why there was no possibility of cutting the burrito in half as she stated that, " we don't have knives in the front." So, and this is apparently where it was determined that I was rude, I asked if I brought a knife of my own in would someone be able to cut it in half. I do admit at this time I was frustrated and just could not understand the complete unwillingness to go the extra distance. I will admit I was persistent and the young lady could certainly have interpreted my behavior as rude. I will also say that you are absolutely correct Sophia in your statement that your employee remained polite the entire time. I assume that you were the one whom I spoke to next. While not rude, you were curt, abrupt and absolutely unwilling to make the simple effort to cut the burrito in half! Every time I type in the phrase "cut the burrito in half," I shake my head in disbelief that such a simple task could and would not be accommodated. I will ask that other readers take a few minutes and peruse some of my previous reviews. I am at times critical but I am fair, consistent and my opinions are intended to provide the business with the opportunity to make changes to facilitate a better environment for both themselves and their patrons. It is blatantly apparent that you do not intend to make a single change to accommodate my disability. But you were not satisfied with that, you made the decision to falsely accuse me of lying and of posting reviews specifically intended to harm "small businesses!" I have been a Yelp member since 2013 and have never been accused by either a business, another member or the Yelp administration of any wrongdoing whatsoever! I do not intend to file a complaint against you as I know my reputation and my body of work represented on this site will speak for themselves. I will simply make a suggestion. Spend half the time it took you to compose your vile slander and find a way to cut your burritos in half for your customers that cannot do it themselves! I'm sure you will be pleased to know that I will not patronize your business again. With the World Surfing Championships coming to Kelly Slater's Surf Ranch in September 2018, I will continue to showcase restaurants worth checking out in Lemoore, California. And for those who are early morning people and are wanting delicious breakfast burritos, the newly opened Chicas is a restaurant worth checking out. Opened in May 2018 by Sophia Vidaurri and her brother Larry, the restaurant has been a popular place to get breakfast burritos and other breakfast items. I discovered the restaurant thanks to the Hanford and Lemoore Foodies Group on Facebook. When I looked for the location, I realize it is located where a shop known as Medina's was located. Back when I was going to college, I had visited Medina's numerous times but I heard it closed down after 15 years in business. Medina's also specialized in breakfast and lunch items, while Chicas focuses on breakfast items. And the location is similar to restaurants I have visited in Tokyo, where there are no tables for eating, but it's strictly a place to go and pick up your food (or call and pick up your food) and they have it all ready for you. I heard that the location decided to open on Saturdays because of demand and judging from the line, there were a lot of people coming to get their Chicas fix and it made me want to check out the location and their breakfast burritos even more! The location offers Basic Chics (which includes potatoes, eggs and meat) and your choice of chorizo, sausage, ham, bacon and lenguica (prices range from $5.50-$7.00). For children and seniors, there is a Little Chic (a smaller burrito with a choice of meat, also eggs and potatoes) for $4.75. There is a Veggie Chic (for $6.75) which has potatoes, eggs, veggies and jack cheese, but for those who are strict vegetarians, may want to request to not add the eggs or jack cheese. One can request a special tortilla for .50 cents more (spinach, wheat or tomato). They offer a Saucy Chic for $8.75 which is a burrito which comes with potatoes, eggs, beans, cheese, your choice of meat with a spicy avocado sauce and sour cream. A Country Chic for $8.50 which is a wet burrito with potatoes, eggs, sausage, jack cheese, smothered in sausage gravy. A Messy Chic for $7.25 which includes potatoes, choice of meat and 3 juice eggs. A Fat Boy for $9.25 which includes potatoes, eggs, cheese and choice of 3 meats. One can also customize and add more sour cream, cheese, beans or jalapenos for an additional .50 cents more or spicy avocado sauce for .75 cents more. The restaurant also serves Sweet Chic's, with a strawberry croissant for $5.50 and a berry croissant for $.650. And for senior citizens and military, they can request a discount. We decided to go for the Basic Chic Lenguica and a sausage burrito. For the most part, the breakfast burritos are good-sized. Nice and thick and will no doubt make you full. They are quite delicious, but next time, I'll need to try the messy burrito which I have heard so many positive things about. While the price of Chicas is a little more than other Mexican restaurants in the Kings County/California area. It's still cheaper than other restaurants that served breakfast burritos in different parts of the world and priced less than burritos purchased in other cities throughout California. Considering it's a local restaurant near downtown, I have no problem with supporting local businesses, especially in a small town like Lemoore, California who are among the smaller towns that still believe in bringing business to its downtown area which are primarily family-owned operations. As for Chicas, the restaurant has only been opened for little over a month and opened on Saturdays probably for the second time since opening. So, when they said there was demand, I was not surprised considering the line outside the door. But the customer service was gracious. There were small kinks that are part of a start-up especially during a heavy rush but for the most part, how things were handled, was well-done and for the most part, I was quite pleased by my visit to the restaurant. If anything, I would definitely call in your order in advance and know that with a new and popular restaurant, there will be a short line (which fortunately moves fast). The establishment was also clean and the food preparation was well-done. So, I'm giving the location a thumbs up and I'll definitely visit Chicas again. For those traveling to Lemoore or for those curious about the location, Chicas opens M-F from 6am to 11:30 a.m. and Saturday at 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. read more

As the old adage goes, "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" and boy oh boy, Chicas fully embodies this! The level of care and love they pour into their food can be felt in each and every bite! A friend and I decided to head on over for a late breakfast. This place had been on our radars for quite some time now so it's goes without saying that we had high expectations. These were met and more! This ranks right up there with one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had! The customer service was amazing! I was more visually impaired than normal this morning since I wasn't wearing my contacts/glasses and the lady at the counter showed me a great kindness by literally almost reading the entire menu word by word. She even offered a couple samples of their sauces! It was a hard decision choosing which burritos to go with but I ended up opting for the Saucy Chick (pictured below) while my friend had the Hot Chick which he can't stop raving about. My burrito came with potatoes, eggs, beans, cheese, spicy avocado sauce, sour cream, and a choice of meat. Finally got to try out Chicas this morning after years of wanting to try it! I will definitely be returning very soon! This little hole in the wall spot is Amazing! Large menu, tons of options and very friendly customer service! They explained the whole menu to myself and another first time customer. I had the country chic that's smothered in country gravy and WOW best burrito I've ever had! Very messy but sooooo delicious! So thankful for the friend that recommended Chicas! The burritos are huge! It's very rare that I can finish the whole thing in one sitting and have the rest for lunch so for $12ish I have at least breakfast and a snack. So far I've had the Country Chic & the Messy Chics Brotha. Both were out of this world. My mom had the Chili Chick and said their pork was was SOO tender and had great flavor. So glad I found this place. I had heard about it but couldn't figure out where it was. I finally seen it one day when I was pumping ethanol across the street. I have been wanting to try this place for way over a year! My husband loves breakfast burritos so I've been wanting to get him one and try one myself! I finally got a minute and was awake with nowhere to be while they were still open! When we walked in we got a really warm greeting and everything was thoroughly explained to us. We got samples of the gravy and the avocado sauce and both were beyond good! We decided to get a Messy Chic and a Saucy Chic to get a variety for our first try. Let me just say.... the Saucy Chic was beyond good! It was definitely the best (and probably biggest) breakfast burrito I have ever had in my life! I'm not usually a breakfast person but it was beyond worth it! My husband had the Messy Chic and he loved it! Considering he is picky about breakfast burritos and if it's worth it there is no drive too far?! 5 stars! I just had the messy chics brotha and had to leave a review immediately. If you are a fan of runny eggs, this is a must have breakfast burrito! I've traveled all around this earth and these are the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. The burrito itself was humongous and I don't know when I'll eat again today if at all. Worth every penny especially considering almost everything was made from scratch. This is one of those places where nothing on the menu is bad IMO. This place is a gem, they are only open for about 4 hours or until they sell out. They prefer call in orders but it's understandable with the high volume of orders. The nice lady at the register gave me suggestions and helped a first timer out which I appreciated. She promptly brought it to me outside once it was ready. This establishment is great quality for the price I will start by saying. The location is extremely small, they did seem to lack basic principles on cleanliness but I shrugged that off. The burrito I received had great flavoring but the potatoes added into it essentially tasted as if mashed potatoes were added in to the burrito instead of good tasting crunchy ones. My husbands came out really good and he had no complaints at all about it, the size for him was great filled him up through dinner!
