My husband and I ate lunch here yesterday. We had garlic breadsticks and Chicago Style pizza (half meat lovers/half veggie). The food was excellent, and the beer was ice cold! We are in town visiting from Florida. Based on the reviews we tried this place. Sadly it was the worst pizza we've ever had specially for the price. We had two large which were more like small to medium with what seemed to be a frozen pre made crust. No flavor, dry and little toppings. I never complain as I am not a picky eater but I felt compelled to write a review. The staff was nice and the inside was nice as well even though we just did pick up. This place was recommended by some coworkers so we thought we'd try it. The food was fair and the service was adequate. We had a pan pizza. The toppings were good but the crust was not the best. It was decent dining experience but nothing stood out as being great. I do like the cozy atmosphere it looks like they are trying to create and the old jazz music they played was charming but just a bit too loud. It was also very clean. My family and I are from out of town, and we are used to quality pizza. Let me say that this is the worst pizza we have ever had. The flat pizza quality is comparable to that of a frozen pizza, the crust was non-existent, the cheese came right off the pizza, and this was some of the worst sauce I've tasted. Food was good but after coming into the restaurant and waiting 15 minutes to be seated and then another 30 minutes before we had to ask if we had server, it wasn't worth it. We had to finally ask the hostess if someone was going to come to our table. A different server (not ours) then came by and at least got our drink order. This place is great! The two brothers are so personal and treat every customer as if they personally knew them. In fact it seems so many people that come in are regulars. We live a long way from this restaurant But frequent the area and EVERY time we are in the area we go by there! The food is EXTREMELY high quality! We have had most items on the menu and everything we have ordered has been super good. I like that when you order a specialty pizza which is put together by hand they don't rush it so everything looks and taste great. Anyone who knows about REAL PIZZA knows that it takes a little longer to properly prepare it and cook it slow BUT when it hits your mouth you will appreciate the time spent on your pizza!!! We recently moved to this area and thought we'd give this place a try. We knew from reading other reviews that the deep dish pizza takes about 30 minutes and we were okay with that. The restaurant was only about half full and did not appear too busy. The waitress came by to take our order and said the deep dish pizza would take 35 minutes. Well, over an hour passed with no sign of our pizza. We asked the waitress a couple of times to check on it after about 45 minutes had passed, finally an hour and ten minutes after we ordered, she brought it out. No apology, simply "we are really busy tonight". However, the restaurant was only about half full and tables around us that came in well after we ordered received their food in very quick time. In fact, one family who arrived after our pizza should have already been served managed to be seated, order, eat and leave before our pizza arrived! A public "Chicago Pizza" wifi hotspot showed up on my phone as "available wifi" but I was unable to connect. Very unreliable. Now, as far as the pizza. Yuck. I may be wrong, but the crust had the taste and texture of a frozen pizza crust you can buy at the store for a DIY pizza. The sauce and toppings were good, the crust was not. Certainly not worth waiting for. One of the apparent owners (judging by photos on the restaurants Facebook page) was standing at the counter when we arrived and again when we left, but never said a word to us. No "hello", no "how was everything", no "thanks for coming in". First impressions are important and this one was a dud. Perhaps the other dishes are better (heard several other diners ordering the gyro), but the combination of the "who cares if your food took over an hour to arrive" attitude to the mediocre pizza to the apparent lack of interest of the owner/manager in ensuring a good dining experience means we won't return to this place. read more

The new location looks amazing for starters. We decided to eat here for lunch and have to say it was a good choice. The pizza was great. The only issue we had was promptness of service, our waitress seemed to be concerned with table of a larger party than anyone else which would have been ok if they were super busy, but they weren't. She brought our drinks out and I had a draft beer but after I finished that I wanted a water, it took her awhile to comeback to see if I wanted another beer or anything else and when she did comeback I had to wait awhile just for a cup of water. And during the visit she probably only checked on us a couple of times after bringing the drinks and our pizza. The experience other than the lack of attention by our server was great. First I'm a huge pizza fan. Lived in Chicago for ~20yrs. I know real Chicago pizza. This... isn't... it. I've eaten here about 10x. Mostly because it's pretty close to home. While we waited for our Chicago style pizza (takes 30 minutes so be prepared), we ordered 10 wings which we were able to get in two types of sauces, garlic Parmesan and the medium sauce. They were so good. Crispy and flavorful. My fav was the garlic Parmesan. The pizza was excellent as well. I like the way it's layered with cheese at the bottom and the sauce on top. All the ingredients were fresh. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. We definitely plan on going back, especially to try all the different types of crusts. Chicago's Pizza has evolved from its original strip mall locale to an attractive, spacious standalone structure. You can tell the ownership has put heart and soul into the new place. We visited mid-week with reservation taken cheerfully. (You may not need a reservation mid-week but certainly our suggestion for weekends.) Staff animated and knowledgeable. Started with the jalapeno poppers and moved on to 1/2&1/2 cheese/pepperoni medium pie. Those familiar with Chicago-style know, and novices need to be prepared, that one slice is practically a meal in itself. If you do not like your pie too "thickly bready" go with thin crust. Beverages served nicely chilled - antidote for a sweltering afternoon. Plenty of booths for those preferring that kind of sit setting. One note of "be prepared:" Our server mentioned that on the weekends, when they are in peak mode you could wait up to one hour for your pizza. Sit back and have another beverage while waiting. All in all a great addition to the restaurant roster along the Clarkesville-Demorest-Cornelia culinary corridor. Well done! read more

A year ago before this restaurant move to the present location myself and my wife had a very pleasant experience with their Chicago style "meat topping" pizza. Earlier today same order as before, the pie that was delivered to the table had two very thin slices of pepperoni and three dime size pieces of sausage per slice. Each slice was loaded with green peppers, onions and mushrooms in a large quantity of marinara sauce. When the waitress was asked about why we didn't receive a meat topping pie, we was told it was it was just the sauce. I picked all the veggies of of this meat pie, no concern at all about our inquiry from the waitress. Will not be seen around these people again. We ate dinner at Chicago's Pizza tonight and it was delicious as was our lunch last week. We had the Grilled Chicken Pita Sandwich, Cheesy Garlic Bread and the hot wings. My hubby gave the wings a "really really good" and that's saying a lot as he makes his own and is on a mission to find the best wings out there. Ask if he would get them again and he says absolutely! The cheese bread is loaded with cheese and the marinara sauce is so good you could turn it up and drink it down straight! My Grilled Chicken Pita sandwich was huge and perfectly grilled. Just right and a great price too. Can't beat that! We have added this place to our short list of favorite go-to restaurants. Can't wait to go back and try something else from the large menu of choices. Please try these guys, they are super friendly, keep a clean establishment, have great prices and lots of choices and we don't need to lose a great restaurant in this area!
