Since 2015 I have used Chicago Pet Transport for all my pet's (Wolfy my dog) appointment needs. They always treated Wolfy and I as though we were the closest of family! Your pet deserves the very best.....Chicago Pet Transport is the one to choose. They are angels! read more

After 2 days and nights of sitting up with our beloved K.C. (Dog) of 15 yrs...I discovered an angel from above. His name is John.. he came to my home, helped carry my sick dog to his van and transported us to Anti Cruelty and waited as they euthanized our girl. Being a Sunday, not many Vets open and my husband home injured from a fall last nite and in the ER, I was a mess.. John waited for me patiently as I said one last good bye to our family member. He drove me back home and we shared wonderful animal stories. I recommend Chgo Pet Transport for any and all reasons. Thanks again John. I will never forget you. You made an unbearable, heartbreaking task manageable. God bless you, stay well.. From: K & C Templin and KC our girl read more

John is absolutely AMAZING and that's putting it lightly. I had to take my foster-to-adopt puppy to a specific vet for a very important check up. I waited for about an HOUR with Yellow Cab, who claims to be "pet-friendly" to find us a suitable ride. I ended up canceling and went with Chicago Pet Transport & boy was John a real life-saver!! He not only showed up as soon as he could, he even WAITED during our horrendously long appointment (took two hours for this vet to even see us!!) John wouldn't accept my offer of billing me for the extra hours (I felt SO bad.) Seriously. If you are car-free or in a bind, use Chicago Pet Transport. **Beyond all of the above, John himself is a dog-lover, and our pup absolutely adored him!! read more

I want to start with saying that our situation was not the usual, however, I want to make sure people are aware that this option is available and worth it. The circumstances were unfortunate that we had to call on Chicago Pet Transport's services, but John could not have been better. My mom, who is older and no longer drives, needed to get her pup (by pup, I mean very senior Husky/Shepard mix) to the vet for "end-time" services. This is a trying time that all pet moms and dads dread, to say the least. Uber was not an option and logistics prevented me from being able to help personally. I called and made the arrangements for Jake and her to be picked up and taken to the vet. Sadly, Jake passed over-night naturally from old-age, but John and Chicago Pet Transport were still there to help and even waited to drive my mom back home afterwords. Again, our circumstances for calling on Chicago Pet Transport were not the usual transportation needs they specialize in, but John and Chicago Pet Transport were amazing. I HIGHLY recommend, whatever your needs are, normal vet visits, getting to and from airports, events, etc. read more

We keep using John and his company every time my babies have to go to the vet. He is always early and always so pleasant to deal with. He has been a lifesaver for us since we have no car and need an excellent service like this to help with the dogs. He's also given some great advice on which vets are good and a reasonable distance from where I live. Great company, great guy -- so happy I found them. read more

I was very nervous sending my kitties on a solo trip to the airport. I felt so much more anxious than any of the three of them. John called me in advance to tell me when to expect him. I purchased carriers, and he brought them in all ready for travel. He called again when he was about 15 minutes out. He reassured me they would be okay, and promised to call me when they arrived at the airport, which he followed through on. As hard as it was to let my babies go with, I felt confident that they were in good hands. This very much helped to put my mind at ease. I am so grateful for the professional and kind treatment of my kitties. read more

We used with our friends this past weekend to attend PAWS animal magnetism and it was a great experience. John was prompt for our pick-up and return trip, with plenty of space for 4 people and a large dogs in the back. They are based on the near west side but travel anywhere in the city and take credit cards. read more

These guys are godsends. Our 109lb Sheppard mix became lame and we needed her transported by stretcher to the vet. Chicago Pet Transport came to our rescue. They arrived on time and made the transport as easy as possible for us and our beloved dog. I highly recommend Chicago Pet Transport for providing extremely helpful, courteous, and professional transport. read more

I've recently moved away from my dog's vet/boarding facility and don't have a car. Chicago Pet Transport was a great alternative for me to get her to her vet/boarding place without needing to find a new one. John was not only on time, but early, which really eased my anxiety about getting to my appointment on time. He was very friendly and an obvious animal lover. We arrived a few minutes before the facility opened and John waited so we could stay in the car instead of having to wait outside. I would definitely use again! read more

Driving at 8:05am on Ohio Street on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and an older white gentleman driving one of their clearly marked and wrapped mid-sized SUVs almost ran me off the road. He attempted to make an illegal lane change halfway in front of my car. So, this review is based SOLELY on the driving skills of one of their drivers (which for a transport company is everything). I wouldn't trust this company to transport my pet rock with those driving skills. And, FYI, Pet Transport driver, you heard my horn, you eventually lane corrected, you knew you were wrong, a nod, an open hand signal, mouthing the word sorry, would have gone a long way. Not only are you a dangerous driver, you are downright RUDE. read more

i needed a taxi for my dog since he had a bad limp that made touching his paw very painful. Ms Marcia came 2 take us 2 the Vet. Mind you it is super-snowy today and the streets are not clean. She made the trip anyway. Very nice caring service . the office person John was also super nice and interested in my dog's outcome. will remember them if by chance I would ever need this service. read more

I cannot agree more with the comment below that this service is an absolute life saver. I use Chicago Pet Transport to transport my 11 month old Boxer puppy, Sophie, to and from daycare daily. Marsha is the driver I use and she is fantastic - she is so sweet, reliable, always keeps me posted, is patient, and cares for my 11 month old Boxer puppy (Sophie) like she is her own. Most importantly, my dog is so comfortable with her. I moved to Chicago a few months ago (from NYC) and I am so thankful I found this service. Recently, I was in Nebraska for a work trip and Sophie suddenly became very sick while at daycare and needed to see a vet immediately. Marsha realized right away that something was wrong upon picking Sophie up that afternoon and she called me to see how she could help. She volunteered to take Sophie to the vet despite already having a packed schedule that day - something she did not have to do. Marsha and her boss, John, coordinated getting Sophie to the vet while I was flying back to Chicago (flight delayed of course), and she kept me posted every step of the way - she waited patiently for the ER vet to see Sophie, and stayed with her until I arrived there straight from the airport. She was even so thoughtful to get a snack out of the vet hospital vending machine for me, because she knew I was starving! John is also fantastic - he is super responsive and also cares deeply about helping his clients. I would recommend this service to anyone looking for a trustworthy and extremely caring group of people to look after their pets. read more

One month ago my beloved lil girl doggie passed. I called a pet crematorium for transport and they sent along the call to Chicago pet transport. Everything was fine until John arrived. He cannot bend down so i put my doggie unto the body bag and zipped her up all by myself. He could only use one hand to carry her (she was a beagle) so i had to carry most of her lest he drag her down the stairs and across the sidewalk to his car. He had to stop twice on the way to his SUV to rest... this was maybe a 25 ft walk from my front door to his car. He then drove her to the pet funeral home. I paid 140$ so i would not have to endure the pain of taking her there. I had assumed (wrongfully so) that this was a professional operation..they had asked her weight so as to be prepared and here arrives a man who obviously needs a walker so he can walk to take my dog away. I can only imagine how he would have bounced her around, dragged her and then getting her into the car all by himself would have resulted in all kinds of bodily damage that i would have had to witness had i not been able to do it for him. He should not make removals of any animal larger than 7 to 10 lbs. He is totally physically incapable of anything larger. The crematorium knew something was wrong when he asked for a cart to bring her in and asked him how he got her into his car in the first place. They called and i told them what had happened. She said he raised his rates because he was supposed to hire help but obviously did not. They felt so awful they refunded the cost of taking care of my pet and said they will never use him again. They were assured he was able to do the work but they saw for themselves he could not. Do not use if you care what happens to your pet. read more

WOW, what a great service. We were at our wits end trying to figure out how to get our 134lb Golden Retriever into the emergency hospital. He couldn't get up into a standing position or walk. I was unable to locate any help through many phone calls until I found Chicago Pet Transport through a GOOGLE search. John answered the phone immediately, ON A SUNDAY! I told him what the situation was and he was able to get help to us immediately. Marsha arrived with the vehicle, stretcher and knowledge of how to help us out. Happy ending!! I couldn't be happier with the service and will keep their number handy. Every animal emergency care center and vets office should have the number of Chicago Pet Transport available for people that call, like we did, to get help transporting their pet. This is an excellent pet transportation service. I've used them a few times. Pricey but worth every penny: they are prompt, flexible, professional, very friendly etc. John picked up my dog and me in an SUV with half the seat down in back so I was able to sit in back while my large dog, who was very sick, laid next to me. And there was a plush comfy rug for my dog to lay on. John is a a true pet lover and helped relax me on what was an otherwise stressful trip to the vet. I highly recommend this service! read more

John is truly amazing. I feel so at ease knowing my pets are in his care. Not to mention they adore him! On a personal note, he is always so kind and positive, and makes working with Chicago Pet Transport a delight. Thanks a million, guys!! read more

What a fantastic service for any pet owner in a city. I don't have a car and have a 65lb beautiful lady named Brooke. Getting her to her spay appointment was made 10x easier by John! He promptly picked us up, and even got there early to help me get Brooke in the car when she was all doped up. A fantastic service that I will DEFINITELY be using again. I also rode in the car with him, so don't listen to Tanya K. His driving is fantastic! :) read more

My dog developed a serious eye problem and needed to get into her ophthalmologist quickly, but I was unable to leave work to take her. John from Chicago Pet Transport arranged to have Marcia pick her up, take her to the appointment and stay with her. The ophthalmologist was running very late, but Marcia stayed with her until she was able to check her into the emergency clinic. I was worried sick that I wasn't there with my dog, but CPT did what I couldn't do. It was well worth the cost for the peace of mind. read more

This is a great service here in Chicago. I have had two dogs who have required a lot of specialty care. John and his staff have transported me many times to and from care, professionally, safely and always with a smile and kind word. They call ahead are always on time and bend over backwards to accommodate you and your pet. This is a fantastic service run by great people THANK YOU!!!! read more

I have 9 year old, German Shepherd/Rottweiler rescue. He was abused and is extremely protective and fearful of strangers. Where I am from, I had a phenomenal support system for my dog as I am extremely careful of the situations I put him in. He is completely trained and I am in control of him but again, I am careful with who I introduce him to. We have moved to Chicago and I have no support system for him here, until now thanks in part to Chicago Pet Transport! I do not have a car and my dog had to have emergency surgery. I was frantic and had no way of getting him to the emergency vet as I cannot just get into an Uber with him. I found Chicago Pet Transport on Yelp and called at 6 am. John, one of the owners, was at my door by 8 am. He was extremely respectful of my dog's comfort and his limits as well as my own. John put me completely at ease which helped calm my dog a bit. His first concern was the comfort of both my dog and me. I recommend John and his company to anyone and I am extremely hard to put at east when it comes to my dog. I am happy to say the surgery went extremely well and I will be booking Chicago Pet Transport to get my dog to my new apartment when I move in a few months. I hope I never have to call them again in a panic, but it is extremely comforting to know they are there if I need them! read more

Great service. John was great and they are great with your furry family member. I recommend this service to everyone!

I can confidently say that our Maltese George is alive today because we we're told to contact John with Chicago Pet Transport. George was at an emergency vet in Indiana and dependent on an oxygen cage. We really thought it was going to be the end for him because we couldn't find any way to get him to Chicago to a specialty vet while still remaining in oxygen. MedVet Chicago told us to contact John. Right from the start he was professional and caring towards our situation. He even helped to obtain the oxygen cage the was essential for the transport. George was diagnosed with severe heart failure but because we were able to get him to MedVet with John's help we should expect some good quality life left with our special dog! read more

This service is a life saver. I have no car and taking cabs to the vet's office is unreliable. I have had to go to the vet 7 times in 2 weeks with 2 different animals, both with very serious issues. Chicago Pet Transport has been prompt, reliable, compassionate and caring. They have helped to ease my stress during a very stressful time. I don't know what I would have done without them. I will continue to use them for all my pet transport needs. read more

Can not say too many positive things about this company. My cat got sick in the middle of the night and I thought we might need to get to the emergency vet. I spoke immediately with a staff member who was extremely thoughtful and compassionate. My cat stayed well enough to go to the regular vet in the AM during a time when I could not leave work so this service lovingly took him to my vet at a very affordable price and updated me along the way. So, so grateful to have these folks in Chicago. Thank you again!! read more
