October 13- third touch up The ink didn't hold to well. I assume it's because I bleed a lot during the touch up. The Microblade faded causing my eyebrows to look noticeably different. Contacted Havy about my dislikes, & and she was so sweet and made room for me to come in to look at my eyebrows, so she can correct my dislikes. I liked that her customers happiness is important to her. I hope after they heal they don't change drastically. Fingers crossed. I will post photos of third touch up. I got microblading from Havy in July 2017. I did some research and thought I understood the procedure and felt confident in the reviews I read for Havy's work. Havy is very sweet and personable and made me feel very comfortable at the appointment. However, I was naive and did not understand that semi-permanent means that microblading is PERMANENT but will partially fade over time. Havy simply stated it would last anywhere from 1-2 years, which caused me to believe it would go away completely after a few years if I did not like it. Furthermore, I had a similar experience to many of the other reviewers - Havy shaved off part of my real eyebrow on the right side and microbladed far above my natural eyebrow in an effort to "even them out". The result is a much higher arch on the right side and I cannot grow in my real brows without having the two "tail" effect other reviewers have complained about. My eyebrows are also not at all even. Granted I have not gone back to have this procedure redone since my first touch up (because I just want my natural look back), but I am now in a situation where I have to figure out how to remove the microblading because I look ridiculous. It is embarrassing. I basically have half an eyebrow where there is no hair because it does not line up with where my eyebrow hair grows in, and you can tell where my real eyebrow stops and the microblading begins. Instead of creating more low-maintenance brows that are effortless, I have to wear make up and put in a lot of work to even them out daily. I regret the procedure and cannot believe I spent over $500 to mess up my face. Havy should have better explained that this would be permanently on my face and she should NOT be shaving off anyone's natural brow and tattooing somewhere else entirely. I write this review to warn people to so some research before having things done of your face. I had my lips tattooed by Haby there and turned out far from perfect or pretty. She left one of the top lips higher than the other and part of the lips and very uneven. Haby is a nice person but when I tried to get my money back for the bad job $600, her assistant said that they could only return $100 or have a touch up at not fee to me, by then I'm so scare to have it done by this place that I prefer to have fixed somewhere else and my money back, wish they denied to do. I debated for a long time writing this review because I am not one who likes to damage a business. I am self employed and I know how hard it is to build a business. However, I have been through so much horror after getting my eyebrows done at this place. August 2017 I went and got my eyebrows microbladed by Havy. She was very sweet and looked like a professional. After taking measurements she told me that my brows were uneven and she had too microblade higher on my right brow to match the other. She went ahead and shaved my right brow, mostly the arch area( what was I thinking letting her do that!!) she continued with the procedure and when she was done my right brow was higher than the left. My brows were fine, she measured wrong. I trusted her. She said that the section that was uneven was going to fade but never did. I left feeling horrible but didn't say anything. Went to my car and started crying so much and finally took the courage to call her after 30 minutes of leaving the place. She returned half of the price I had paid. She returned $250 because she said she took almost two hours measuring. I just wanted my brows back!!! Didn't care about the money. Since then, I have spent thousands of dollars in tatoo make up concealers, professional make up cover ups, saline removals, chemicals peels etc. trying to make it fade without any success. It faded a bit but I still had a second brow. I am an artist and makeup its my daily routine so you can imagine all the time I have spent covering the second high arch she did then filling in my normal brow which I let grow again of course. It has been traumatizing for me. Its been horrible to see myself in the mirror but I found a way to deal with it. After all there are bigger problems in life, I thought. A week ago I took the courage and invested in a Picosure laser treatment and I want to say that most of the visible ink outside my normal brow hair is 90% gone after just one treatment. One more and all this will be in the past. I think that the fact I feel like myself again has given me the courage to finally talk about it. My saline removal technician kept telling me to disclose this to help others but I never wanted to do it. My review is not to cause her to loose business or to damage her but to make you be aware that she can make mistakes that will cost you. I have to say thay she did offer me to remove it with saline after 8 weeks but I just didn't want to see her again. Just be aware, I don't wish anybody to go through what I have been. Havy is amazing! She's funny, personable, and incredibly passionate and excited about her work! I felt like I was talking to a long time friend through the whole procedure. She's very knowledgeable and truly an artist. I have to admit, after my procedure, I freaked out for a couple days. My brows appeared super thick and super dark. I texted Havy about it, and she reassured me to trust the process, and they will lighten up and thin out. She was very responsive and calming which relieved my panic. So just know going in, due to swelling and scabbing, your brows will look huge, dark and possibly uneven, especially if you're coming from pencil thin brows. This is NORMAL! DON'T FREAK OUT! After a few days, they evened out and started to thin out. They're still dark because the scabbing hasn't fallen off yet, but because the swelling went down, they don't look as dark and burly. I honestly felt like a combo between Frida and Eddie Munster the first two days, but after that I LOVED and still LOVE my brows! They look amazing and they're not even done healing yet. I thought I did enough research but evidently not. My husband feels I ruined myself by getting my microblading done here. My brows were HIGHLY uneven after the first session and I expressed my dissatisfaction with her and she said the second session evens them out. After the second session nothing changed! It looks like I had hired someone to do it off of craigslist with no experience. The bad part was she upselled me $150 more telling me I needed the shading. I spent almost $700 and I need to go to someone who actually knows what they're doing to fix them She did offer to refund me to delete this review but I felt it was unfair for everyone and also against yelp guidelines to do so. Which is the SOLE reason she received two stars. Update::she also threatened to sue for posting a review that did not rant and rave about how great she is. Also I asked to see proof of her licensing and certification to perform her services and she said "just know I have them". Another customer of hers emailed me regarding the same thing, saying how dissatisfied they were and requested proof for her to perform these services and Havy did not oblige her requests either. I also attached a picture from my first visit where I had ink all over my neck that havy left I sent her multiple texts and calls after my first and second session expressing how embarrassed I was. I literally cannot leave the house without makeup covering my eyebrows because people stare at how ridiculous they look. I know Eyebrow's aren't twins they are sisters but mine don't start at the same spot, don't end at the same spot and are different shapes...it's like saying flava flav and Charlize Theron look alike Please note Havy does threaten people that post less than five stars, bribes people and a lot of her ratings coincidentally come from new reviewers with no other reviews be ware! I went to Havy after seeing the stellar reviews she had previously on Yelp. She booked me for an appointment fairly quickly and we proceeded from there. Havy is a fantastic artist. She listened to exactly what I wanted and was extremely detail-oriented and careful with her tattoo strokes. Her assistant, Tam is also very attentive and will be very helpful if you ever have any questions. However, I have been told by several people that my eyebrows were noticeably uneven and that I had overpaid for her services. I can't recall exactly how much I gave her but it was between $700 and $800 for microblading and shading together. I personally think my eyebrows, although slightly uneven, look very nice. I'm aware that my face isn't perfectly symmetrical so my eyebrows shouldn't be either, so it doesn't bother me too much that people say they aren't perfectly even. Overall, it has saved me so much time getting ready for work. I don't even need to wear makeup in the mornings because my eyebrows already looked framed and full. Another thing, I noticed Havy had asked me to write a good review for her several times. I will write a review, but an honest one. This one happened to be good, but in the future, I think it's a little uncomfortable getting asked to write a specific type of review like a 'good' one, per se. If this were a bad review, I would've been just as honest. Overall, I highly recommend Havy. She will give you beautiful eyebrows that frame your face extremely well. She is a true artist and I think her services were well worth the price, regardless of what anybody else says. I had it done 3 years ago n had a horrible experience with this place and their lack of experience. It is unfortunate that this place is still open. Havy is an artist! I was nervous about getting my eyebrows done last year...I mean, someone is semi-permanently drawing on your face - can easily be messed up! Havy really knows what she's doing though. As someone with very skinny brows to begin with she totally transformed my face. At first I was a little shocked because nice eyebrows completely reframe your features but when I got used to the new look I couldn't believe I had waited that long. Havy is so great!! I hated having to fill in my brows cause they were so thin. She took the time to figure out what shape would look best on me and made sure I wasn't in pain at all. (On a scale of 1-10 it's maybe a 3 for pain. Just feels like scratching.) She also is always there when you have questions about the aftercare. I saw a lady complain that she wasn't answering her calls but when I went today for my touch up appointment she told me she had been out of the country for follow up classes on microblading... which you know is necessary to keep up with all the amazing new techniques to keep us all beautiful! Okay now, this is a way overdue review. Got my brows microbladed by Havy almost a year ago. Made an appointment, got there 10 minutes before appointment time, but wasn't seen by Havy til like 20 minutes later. She popped her head out the door and said Hi, just a few more minutes. Finally got in after 40 minutes... I was a little annoyed at that time since she did not apologize at all for having me wait an hour... Havy is nice, offered some water, chit chatted, so on and so forth. She then drew over my brows, asked me if I like how they looked before she actually tattoed on them, blah blah blah. Of course, they looked divine and all... she then did her thing... I have a high tolerance for pain so the procedure didn't bother me too much. After everything was said and done, she showed me the final product and I immediatelt noticed that my right brow was more archy than the left. I mentioned it to her but she said it was normal because it's fresh and the ink appears darker blahblahblah. Okay......... so weeks passed and everyone and their mommas noticed how unequal my brows were. I went for the touch up and asked her to "fix" my right brow to make it even with the left. And she said she will. I really didn't notice any change or "fix" and I got so frustrated. I told her it looks the same (more archy) and she answered the same exact thing as last time, that it was normal and it should look better once it's completely healed. Highly unprofessional and questionably racist. Havy and her assistant Bihn run a disjointed, slow and non-customer oriented business. I arrived 10 minutes early and was seen an hour and a half AFTER the appointment time; this after she left my black ***sitting in the hallway, on a backless bench, across from the men's bathroom. I can still remember the smell emitting from the bathroom. There is no lobby or reception area and the infamous Bihn was no where to be found. During my hour and a half wait Havy finishes up the client that was on the table when I arrived, proceeds to take a white client and then a Middle Eastern client into her room both arrived AFTER me; each time she magically appeared she says to me "just 5 mo minutes". When she finally graces me with her presence; I'm being facetious, she claims she cannot remove the tattoo because my skin is too dark and the acid will turn my skin white. I sent multiple photos of myself, with great lighting, PRIOR to waiting a month for an appointment so there is no earthly reason why this couldn't have been relayed to me saving an hour in traffic, two hours in her crappy shop (well the 7 x8 room she leases) and another 1.5 hours back home. Really, Havy did you NOT notice I was black in the photos???? How did you miss it? Better question did you esteemed "assistant" send the photos to you? Or are you mad because I didn't kiss the ring and sing your praises rather called you out for your little, preferential antics of calling people before me. You may have noticed the pictures were sent to the assistant. That's right folks this "professional" (just joking) is too big time to talk via phone; or maybe it's just "some people" she won't speak too. Maybe the bleach used to fry, dry out and dye her hair blonde, to assimilate Caucasian hair, has messed with her brain and ability to think, reason and provide extraordinary customer service. She has a wonderful sense of humor and is very easy to talk to. She makes you feel very comfortable. Havy also ensures that every client is happy. When a touch up is needed she will make sure to handle touch ups quickly and perfectly. I absolutely love the shape and look of my new eyebrows! Havy does explain clearly that it is semi permanent so you will need to return regularly to have touch ups. I was initially very satisfied, however make sure ya'll read the fine print. My mother and I paid $1,000 cash ($500 each) at our initial application- that's a good amount of money! We were told, yes, that there COULD be some spots the color was not retained, so for that reason they told us to make sure to schedule our touch up 6-8 weeks to finish up the look. We did that weeks in advance. We show up day of because my brows had uneven spots - I was excited to have them perfected! Well, turns out I booked with the wrong artist, we can only book with our original artist. I just clicked the first one scrolling down, so the artist that was booked would not do our touch up. We left kinda bummed, no one told us there was an issue prior to showing up. Then, I'm told the touch up is an extra $50... apparently some artists include the touch-up in their initial fee and other don't? Mine doesn't. I was under the impression it was included because, who is going to pay $500 for an unfinished service!? So in short, my picture shows what I got for a $500 service. If I want them fixed I have to go back for another $50 touch up. After our experience, respectfully I'd rather take my business elsewhere. Havy is a friendly person and her work is very good, but the downfall for me personally her time management and professionalism was not great. First session I was her first client of the day my appt was at 9am and she arrived 1 hour late due to traffic, I brushed it off but knowing that I drove 3 hours I couldn't just go back home, while we were in the process of drawing shaping my brows she was constantly on her phone, she said sorry a few times and told me her situation which I brushed to the side we are human and things happen. She did my brows which turned out great but noticing that so much time was wasted because of her running late and spending bout 30 mins leaving the room to make a phone call. The second session I went to hoping for the best that maybe she had a bad start on my first session I went in with an open mind, this time I went with my friend cause she has an appt with Havy right after my touch up session, we got there about 10 mins earlier than my appt and she had a client she was working on so we waited for her then another person shows up and waits with us for another 20 mins then that client leaves and she calls the lady standing next to us in her room, at this point I'm like did she make 2 appts for the same time? I go knocking on the door to make sure and she goes she was behind schedule and to give her 20 more mins, waited another 30 mins, then that client leaves and at this point it was almost 3 my appt was at 2. My friend and I go in and she tells me how the brows look good blah blah, and as she was wiping my brows she goes I have bad news for you, I'm just thinking like what?! What's wrong with my brows what's going on and she goes I have really bad stomachs ache and I don't think I can do your brows. !!!!!! ??? What do I say? We drove 3 hours here waited almost another hour and you're gonna tell us this ?? !! At this point I'm just like well we drive far here and she goes yea well I guess I'll still touch your brows for you and see what I can do, and she goes on telling me the only reason she did it for the client before was because she flew from Minnesota and in my head I'm like so I drove far to get here too, at this point I could tell she was rushing, I asked her if she was gonna put numbing creme on and she said yes and then she goes on telling me how she did it on a client with no numbing creme and then she does my brows for 20 mins with no numbing creme and she goes your done. (I was just shock at this point) Then she turns to my friend and my friend who has previously have her brows tattoo by someone different and she ask to see if Havy can just fix it and Havy wipes it away and pretty much just says no, we already know she was rushing us already so my friend didn't argue with her and just said ok. I didn't tip due to how her time management was the first time and I also didn't tip the second session either. Her work is great but professionally wise I would choose someone else. You can't beat Havy's skill and dedication to her clients any where! She is constantly making sure she is taking the newest classes for her art. I've been seeing Havy for almost a year for microblading and she basically had to reproduce half an eyebrow on one side to make them even. We've had to do two additional touch-ups because there are a few area my brows didn't keep all of the ink, but Havy was able to get me in her schedule and do her best to get me the best brows she could!! I have been dying to get my eyebrows microbladed for a while now and I was never impressed by anyone's portfolio here in the Chicagoland area. At one point I considered flying to California just to get them done for a ridiculous price. But thank god I found HaVy because she is amazing. If you don't believe me go look at her Instagram. Microblading is quite truly an art, and having the right eye for features that can truly enhance and amplify the facial features and beauty isn't something you want to just rely on anyone for...and this woman is who I trust with for my care and reassurance for results that are extraordinary. I have had so many people stop me with flattering comments on my brows. The brow strokes etched are remarkably done, and it takes someone who is greatly detailed to achieve such results. I'm truly blessed and grateful to have found this lady. My brows had been sparse with bare spots that wouldn't grow back after years of over-tweezing. She was able to fill them in for a more natural appearance and shape them to compliment my eyes and other facial features so I can look and feel my best on a daily basis (I really sucked at penciling my brows in every AM). Havy did my microblading and they are completely asymmetric. She is a scam artist on top of that. After asking me what I did for a living she proceeded to suggest the more expensive option for the microblading which I would gladly pay if I was happy with the results. After she was done she tried to compliment me saying how beautiful it looked. Now I'm researching where to go to have them fixed if that is even possible. DO NOT BOOK HERE. Haven't even gotten the procedure done but how does the owner expect me to move forward with the process when she is so difficult to reach. This would be my first time getting microblading done so I would have greatly appreciated an in person consult. However, she is never available to answer phone calls and her salon is always closed and empty. It makes no sense to do the consult over the phone and make an appointment for the procedure when you don't even know if you feel comfortable with the person who is going to be tattooing your face. Again, this is a semi permanent procedure so the decision shouldn't be taken lightly. If I can't even reach her to talk to her in person, why would I let her near my face with a needle? read more

If I could give her a -1 I would. After reading the reviews, I decided to give microblading a shot. I called the number and promptly received a text message which provided an overview of microblading and the estimated costs. The person asked that I send a picture of my brows and indicated she'd notify me if I were an ideal candidate for the procedure. I sent my picture in three days ago and have yet to hear a word. I've also called her twice and on both occasions, I've gotten her voicemail. Quite unprofessional. I'll take my business and my money elsewhwere. read more

During the healing process, there were some hairstrokes that fell out and disproportionate areas (I just filled it in with a pencil up until my touch up session) - which I was well aware of since Havy did warn me that this will happen hence why you need to be patient when getting this procedure to get the perfect results (I mean it's reasonable because you are making tiny cuts onto your skin, so your skin has to grow back somehow and that's why the hair strokes fell out!) Now that my eyebrows are completely healed, I have never been satisfied more than anything. Havy, you gave my eyebrows life! I have always been self-conscious with my eyebrows due to my condition with trichotillomania. You have no idea how much you have helped me with overcoming my fears and boasting my confidence. You have so much passion with what you do and you care so much about your clients. So people, do your research and book an appointment with Havy because she is fantastic! read more
