Was in the area for work and stayed here since I'm a Bonvoy member. Checking in was ok, the lady who checked me in talked so fast, I didn't really know what she was saying, but since I'm in Marriotts about once a week, I only asked her to repeat the pasts that really mattered. Their M Club was still under renovation and they issued cards to dine in a buffet area next to the Bar Louie that's in the lobby. The breakfast, which I took part in the next morning was terrible. I got there about 20 mins after they opened and they were rather busy, but the food was cold and stale. The potatoes were terrible, cold, rubbery, and far from fresh. The scrambled eggs were cold and there were hardly any left. The bacon was the only thing worth eating. Should be noted that all this food was sitting in heated warmers, but those must just be for looks, because they weren't keeping the food warm! The room I got was very nice, it was at the end of the hall on the sixth floor, overlooking the huge Panasonic building nearby. The room was very spacious and nicely setup, with everything in decent working order, except the toilet seat, which was too small for the bowl. When sitting on the seat, you were actually sitting partially on the bowl because the seat was too small. It's these little "attention to detail" things that really make or break a property. Since I stay in Marriotts so frequently I'm sooo sick and tired of the smell of their bathroom soaps and gels. Not sure why they don't rotate these by region, property, etc. They could very easily make it so when I visit different properties in different cities, I experience a different "smell" of soap and bath gel. I know this seems petty, but when these smells are thins pungent, it really does matter. The lobby was beautifully decorated with a player piano playing in it, which was a really nice touch. It's obvious the entire property's common areas were recently refurbished, which makes the property look and feel very nice and slightly more upscale than the typical Marriott. Just a word of warning that the parking lot seems to connect a road to a plaza with people cutting through it. I went to pull out of a parking space once and a car almost hit me driving about 30 MPH thru the lot, just cutting through. Overall, it was a decent stay and I'd stay here again. read more

The hole is going through some renovations, half of their back parking lot is blocked off. Thankfully, got the floor that was renovated. I love the fact that they replaced the carpets with hard wood floor, never been a fan on the carpets at the hotels. The room was very spacious, bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. The water pressure in the shower could be improved, but it wasn't bad. The front desk staff were friendly and had easy check-in. The fitness center was bit small, but had more equipment in the room than other hotels like Fairfield Inn.... but because it was small, it felt closed in. No microwave in the room, has anyone notice that the hotels are removing them now? Is this the new trend? read more

This will go down as one of my top five worst hotel experiences. You walk in to a newly renovated lobby. On first impressions it seems nice, but then you start to notice that corporate chique sterile feeling. It feels more like an office space than a hotel. That isn't the bad part though. It's the walls. The walls in this hotel are so thin I'm not quite sure how this place is standing. Now let's toss in a couple next door that decides to do the loudest intimate activities you have ever heard in your life.... Going for well over an hour, till 1AM at night. I went down and ask the staff to tell them to stop. They called twice and that didn't work so they sent someone up to ask them to stop. That worked for all of ten minutes and then they were at it again. I didn't get to sleep till 2AM. They then started up again at 7AM!! I could hear them through my earplugs!! At that point I gave up asking staff to help. I screamed at them to stop which once again worked for all of ten minutes. They started up again and by then I left and worked out in the gym for over an hour, my sleep completely ruined. In addition, I was there for a funeral. Nice little cherry on top of the turd sundae. The front desk couldn't move me to a new room because they were fully booked. They also didn't offer anything beyond that. I had to complain more than once and I got a free breakfast. It's better than nothing but after all that it really did not make up for it. I was there with my family and they were in another room. They said they could hear the intimate activities down the hall. Really upsetting to have that memory entangled with the memory of my departed grandfather. The walls are way too thin and I felt staff should have taken stronger action about people being way too loud for hours. Unacceptable. It's not worth the price. read more

We had a lovely stay here. We LOVE this hotel! The lobby is very neat with super cool comfy furniture you can chill & hang out in. The fountain gives off Zen trickling water sounds that adds to the natural vibes & cozy atmosphere. BOMB. Service was super friendly & helpful there is even a Starbucks in the lobby. The only issue we had with this hotel was the horrific old green carpet in our room. Our king room & king bed was super comfy, the room spacious, the bath updated & super clean, however, the green carpet just ruined it for us. Not sexy at all. Needs to be replaced ASAP. Would LOVE to stay here again, and again and again, soon as y'all replace the commercial office "Christmas green" carpet. So outdated worn & fugly it should be a crime. I like the upgrades they have completed. There's no longer carpet in the rooms. Let's be honest that's not very sanitary. Overall the hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. My only complaints are no microwave in the rooms and the bar is only open when the restaurant is open and only a hr after the restaurant closes. read more

Had an excellent stay at the Hoffman Estates Marriott. I've stayed here previously and appreciate the remodel that has since taken place. Public areas/hallways are much brighter and the property has a fresh look. Customer service has always been very good and that hasn't changed. Cherry at the FD was very welcoming and recognized my Titanium status (which never seems to happen anymore). The restaurant manager during breakfast was always positive and cheerful. Updated sleeping room was very comfortable. We will continue to stay here, when our travels take us to the Chicago area. read more

First, the check-in process was disorganized and lengthy. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in providing any semblance of hospitality. It took almost an hour just to get our room keys. The room itself was a major disappointment. It was not properly cleaned, with dust on the surfaces and a strange odor lingering in the air. The bedding looked old and worn, and the mattress was uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The bathroom was similarly subpar, with mold in the shower and a sink that barely drained. Adding to the frustration, the advertised amenities were either unavailable or not as described. The "fitness center" was a tiny room with barely functional equipment, and the pool was closed for maintenance without any prior notice. The complimentary breakfast was another letdown, offering it says it was complimentary but wasn't. a limited selection of stale pastries and lukewarm coffee. Noise levels were also an issue. The thin walls and poor soundproofing meant we could hear every conversation and footstep from the neighboring rooms and hallway, which disrupted our rest. read more

I pay a bit more for a Marriott, versus grabbing a standard 3-star option on Hotwire, but it is worth it as Marriotts tend to be consistently solid properties with friendly, attentive staff. Clean rooms, free parking, great beds, awesome showers. And a pool! I got in some laps after work and enjoyed my swim in the indoor pool, which was a good size for a hotel pool. The hotel had many issues. The room I was provided was not very clean. We were on one of the newly renovated floors too. The floor was sticky and dark sticky spots on the floor in the bathroom. The light around the TV wouldn't turn off. My relatives had the room next door and the lock wouldn't work, they had to replace the lock. The lights in the new hallway (6th floor) are way, way too bright, and the newly decorated rooms feel very 70's. The bed stand had a sticky ring on it like from a bottle. We had a relative staying on the 2nd floor and they said that outlets were falling off the wall in their room. Staff was very friendly, I will give you that, but that's about all. read more

When walking into the hotel the interior lobby is very nice. However it is deceiving... Room was dusty dirty. My bed was actually split down the side and the interior of the bed was coming out. Pillows, sheets, everything felt uncomfortable overly used. Typically Marriott tends to be a tried and true hotel to stay at when traveling. However it seems like this one has been forgotten about. Everything is very outdated and you can tell that nothing has been replaced. Had a horrible nights sleep and I can attribute 100% to the bed and pillows I was forced to sleep on. This hotel is not worth 50$ a night let alone $110+. Do your self a favor and stay at one of the many other hotels. Do not make my same mistake. read more

Bonvoy and Chase Marriott card holder here. This hotel needs a HUGE makeover! I requested a mobile key and I still ended up physically checking in. I get to my room and it looks TIRED. Old furniture with unusual smell. They still have the small toiletries instead of the refillable The Works brand. Since we flew in from California and got in an odd hour, we tried to grab food and the restaurant is CLOSED. How can you close a restaurant when you have travelers coming in different hours? When they did open, all their menu choices were sandwiches - um - how the heck can I get a decent meal. We ended up walking across the street for dinner. Saving grace was the buffet breakfast. I will definitely find a different Marriott that really is worthy of that brand name. read more

When I booked this Hotel through the company website and looked it up through the Marriott App it was showing as having suites available. This is one of the main reasons I chose this location and its proximity to the zone I am working. I called the hotel number above on Monday when I was booking and on Tuesday from the airport to get more information. To my surprise the phone rang and rang and rang to no avail. I sent a message through the app inquiring about suites. I was told that the property doesn't have suites. Then when I was checking in. I asked about a suite and I was told its only available to brides and grooms. I advised that I am here long term and would be willing to pay extra for a suite and I was told again NO its for brides and grooms. I asked if this was a rule for the hotel or just, I was being told no. They said this is rule for the hotel. I feel discriminated against as I am not married or engaged so I can't get a suite. Nothing online mentions this, this is false advertisement. After my crazy breakfast ordeal I asked for a manager. By about 3:40, I had not heard from anyone. So, I sent a message through the app. NO REPLY. I called from my room phone around 7ish. No answer. I called the number in the app from my cell. NO ANSWER. This is disturbing on so many levels. First and foremost, I asked two staff members to have a manager call and no one has called. I have no calls all day on my phone except my outbound call to the hotel. No one answered my app message or picked up when I called the front desk using the room phone. What if I had an emergency? A fire, an assault, a fall, choking, stoke, or a heart attack? No one answering these phones around here is very dangerous and not okay. I feel very uneased and uncomfortable. This stay is by far the worst of this year and I have had over 130 stays this year alone. Two nights in a row eating cold food, because I still don't have a microwave, still no robe, and no call from a manager. I am working with my travel office to see if I can find somewhere else to lay my head. I am in no way, shape, form, or fashion comfortable at this hotel. I do not feel safe, I do not feel relaxed, I do not feel welcomed, and I feel that another establishment even if it's not a Marriott at this point would appreciate my business and loyalty more than they have here. read more

I called front desk and they said they'd have maintenance take care of it. Fast forward to next morning's shower... and absolutely nothing had been done. Hotel is going through some sort of renovation; but for some idiotic, God forsaken reason work is being done at night when people are trying to sleep! Hotel is currently being renovated. I stayed on the 8th floor in a renovated room. Halls ways are extremely well lit and bright. The room was a bit different than your standard full service Marriott. Not as comfortable as in the past. Bedding was not as luxurious. The room was clean but I couldn't get past the frosted glass bathroom barn door and the vinyl flooring. Great workout room. Very friendly staff in the restaurant. Nice location. read more

None of the accessable rooms have double beds! That is so ridiculous! Basically assuming that anyone in need of those accomodations has someone to sleep with instead of just needing an extra hand. The staff doesn't know what they're doing. We wanted a room in a wedding block and it took them ages to find it. It's hard to make reservations and takes forever. There is no free wifi. I will say that the accessable bathroom is nice. It's a large room, there's a safety rail running almost the length of the wall. There's a roll in shower and everything is within reach for a wheelchair user. However the bad outweighs the one good. read more

It was beyond anything I've been subjected to in the past. My group was made to stay overnight after an issue with our United flight. We were given this hotel as a choice for our overnight and we chose it because it stated that the hotel had airport shuttle service. We went to the waiting area and then called the hotel to have them send the shuttle for our group of ten. I was told that the shuttle wouldn't be running that evening and when I inquired to why, I was told it was none of my business and then hung up on. So we got 2 taxis - I to the tune of $150 each (one way). We get to your hotel and begin the check in process. Mr. Doligosa and Ms. Okada were assisting us along with another staff member who wasn't wearing a name tag - but I recognized her voice from the phone when I had called about the shuttle. I then inquired as to the time the shuttle starts in the am, and I'm then told again won't have shuttle service. I asked why and was told it was none of my business. I get it, there are staffing shortages everywhere - but the level of rudeness was taken up a notch by this employee. My colleague then tells your employee that there is no reason to be condescending to us. To which we get even nastier comments. I asked what her name is and she refuses to tell me. Then I ask the manager on duty (Ms. Okada) and she also refuses to tell me your employee's name. So I snapped a photo for when I write to the general manager - to which I'm told I'm not allowed to do. I never would have taken the photo if she would have just told me who she was. I was appalled that we were treated so poorly and that other 2 members of the management team allowed it to happen. Does not live up to Marriott reoutation. Quality of management is very poor. Housekeeping staff is excellent. My room was always nice and clean. Front desk could not provide a printed copy of my receipt upon check out. I waited for the email 12 hours and had to call to get it. I was overcharged by $90.00. I called and was told I had to call the manager the following day. The person I spoke to said " it was impossible" that I was charged incorrectly. Very difficult to deal with the staff here. I will never ever stay here again and will think twice about the Marriot name from now on. read more

We stayed here for a family staycation and were greatly disappointed. This hotel needs some major TLC and the staff need to rethink some of their practices. Our stay was during the pandemic and our room clearly had not been wiped down well, if at all. There was duct tape holding one side of the curtains in place. One of the lamps didn't have the proper piece attached to be able to turn the lamp on. When I was making sure we had all of our belongings, I noticed how dirty the floors were. I also found garbage, a smart phone, and wireless earbuds while checking along the bed baseboards and near other furniture. We turned the phone and earbuds into the front desk and explained where we found them. We were barely thanked. One of the employees overheard me speaking to the front desk employee and informed me that they just run the vacuums in the open areas but do not check/clean close to the furniture. Yikes! read more

My wife and I stayed on august 18th 2023. When we arrive and got to our room, we notice the bathroom was still dirty. There was hair all over the shower and the bathroom sink. There was dirt on top of the toilet bowl. I called down to guest services immediately and talk to a lady named Cherry. Told her the bathroom was unclean and requested house cleaning to come and clean it. I told them to send them in about 20 minutes as my wife and I were getting ready to head out for dinner. Upon our return to our room around 1am, we notice the bathroom was untouched. The following day at check out, we complain to the front desk manager name Cherry. She told us they had to investigate the claim. She then proceeded and talk to the director of house cleaning whom was standing there at the desk. She proceeded to say to her"that's the guest I was talking about" with a smirk on her face. When asking for someone whom was in a higher position, she refused to give me the information. Then she finally gave me Mr. Mainder Pal Singh card, the director of operations. When I ask if he was in for the day and I would like to speak to him, she said she doesn't know. As I was about to call the number on his card, Mr. Singh walked around the corner. We talked and told him the situation and we were requesting a discount off the room cause the bathroom was I cleaned. He proceeded to give the same old manager speech about how Marriot has standards and will address this. He ask me to email the pictures to that was provided and said the claims department had to check into it. As I said all we wanted is a discount off the room. Then Mr.Singh and Cherry kept suggesting maybe a free breakfast on the house for our troubles. It's been 4 days now and no call back from either Marriot or the claims department. This is the first hotel I ever dealt with that was this rude and dismissive of a customer complaint. 0/5 stars. read more

I attended a business meeting at this location which is right next to the expressway and the Sealy offices (good visual landmark). Great set up with decent pens (not cheap stick pens) at every seat, candy bowls in the afternoon, and good temperature consistency in the meeting rooms. Bright entry with plenty of seating for conversations. The food was surprisingly great! Plenty of parking and a helpful staff! read more

I would literally give this hotel a 0 star review if I could. Checked in Saturday afternoon because I was staying for a friends wedding. Came back to the hotel room on Saturday night around midnight/1 am and the bed was COMPLETELY tipped over on its side. Tried to fix it but could not sleep in it. Called front desk to see if I could have a different room or if I could even have a pull out bed. I was told no, and that there's nothing they can do but I can call back on Monday - they were SO rude and literally told me to go home. It has been two weeks since and I have been trying to complain to headquarters now as they won't process my refund. Awful staff, awful hotel, needs renovation for sure. I wouldn't recommend. Waste of money. I honestly won't be staying with any Marriotts related to this business. read more

This hotel was nice. The room was clean and the employees were friendly. The only downfall was that the Wifi wasn't free. At other Marriott locations, the Wifi would be free to guests. This wouldn't have been too much of an issue if my husband didn't have virtual school to attend, but he did. We were there for only one night and paid over $110 for a room, but had to pay extra for Wifi. It was a bit of a bummer, but what can we do. read more

Pros: - Clean and well lit facilities. - Decent workout room with lots if cardio, TVs and free weights. - They supply pre-wrapped headphones, towels, water and fruit in the workout room. - Nice conference/seminar rooms. - Decent food for room service or conferences. - Employees are all friendly. Cons: - Poor signage in regards to the main entrance. - Their "shuttle service" is some random dudes in their personal vehicles. No markings on the vehicles or anything. One of the vehicles had engine and warning lights lit up on the dash... yaaay for safety... and lists. Did I mention they left me standing outside in 20 degree weather for nearly an hour? - Improper billing. I was on a business trip and the reservation was made via my employer so even though my debit card should only have been for incidentals they ended up charging the entire stay to my card. When I brought this up upon checking out they couldn't find any of the original credit card info. Oh, did I mention they also charged me for my coworkers room even though my card had nothing to do with their room? Did I mention that yet? - WIFI is decent but $10 a day per room. If you need to stay in this area it's not a bad place to stay if you have your own transportation and are paying for your own stay. Not a fan. read more

Checked in and the desk clerks were very rude and unaccomodating. They offer shuttle to drop and pick up customers however, they have a limit. Our flight is at 9am, so I asked if we can have a shuttle pick up and they said you're on your own. You can call a taxi! read more

My room was ok, but not worth the price, the restaurant inside is high priced too, but it hasn't been worth it and overall - the only reason I return is because of it's location - perhaps why they can get away with those prices - location is everything. Tired old property, and the service is spotty at best. Lobby and rooms look like they were last updated a couple of decades ago. Ordered room service for breakfast and told 30-40 minutes. Cancelled order when at 55 minutes it hadn't started. Bartender was great however (female, didn't catch her name) and the pasta Bolognese was surprisingly good. Those two highlights aside, I'd never return. read more

Horrible experience! Do not book your wedding block here. From start to finish communication was terrible. I emailed multiple times for a list of people in my block and never got a response.I had guests trying to book a room in the block and they were told the block was full. The week of the wedding I called and asked for shuttle information and was told that I didn't qualify since I didn't fill my block after guests booked outside of the block because they were told it was full.... Rowina the manager was extremely unhelpful. The week of my wedding she was asking for a list of everyone who booked... then I had guests who were turned away from the shuttle because they weren't on the list. Every time I called for updates I was told she was busy and overwhelmed. Extremely unprofessional. We also booked a conference room for the groomsman to get ready in and it was dirty! As soon as i got to my room there was a huge ball a hair on the desk to greet me. I called downstairs and let "Haley" at front desk know the situation and she literally asked what I'd like them to do with an attitude like i was an inconvenience. I've stayed at other hotels where they have apologized and offer points etc for situations like this... she didn't seem to care. ????? Customer service here isn't the best... won't even help bring up groceries or allow any food delivery deliver to the room. read more

I had a horrible experience at this hotel. I am a titanium elite member with Marriott and I stay at hundreds of properties a year throughout the world and I have never had such a horrible experience. I was staying at the hotel for a few days and housekeeping, never came to clean my room. Every time I would try to call the front desk nobody would ever answer. I will try to message them through the app and nobody would answer either. Finally by the third day of housekeeping, not coming and it being after hours after they already left, I asked to be moved to a different room that was freshly cleaned. They said, OK, but the lady at the front desk was very rude and was refusing to give me the key to get into my new room, even though I was already reassigned. Finally, I went back to my room to pack my belongings to go to another hotel because I was not comfortable staying and had the manager Manny knock on my room door aggressively, and yell that I open the door. I was already feeling unsafe. And when I open the door because he kept my face and putting his finger in my face and yelling at me because the front desk lady apparently told him that I said something to her that wasn't true. And he would not stop screaming in my face and putting his finger in my face even after I asked him multiple times to leave my door, and that he was making me. he called me names, and then, when I tried to close the door to grab my bag so I can go to a different hotel. He swung the door open very hard and it slammed into my face and he assaulted me. It was no accident and my face was clearly there and the paramedics had to be called. A police report was filed against him, and I believe he was arrested. I am also pursuing additional civil and legal action and getting a restraining order right now. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is not safe and all the staff are very unprofessional. read more

I want to start by saying, I have had over the course of 10-11+ years nothing but an amazing experience with this operation.  We have had both Galas and Corporate Training meeting over and over and up to 3 times or more per year.  I have looked at our numbers and have easily paid out between a $100,000 to $150,000 directly to this property, NOT including the room rentals business that has come with it.  I simply say this to point out we have been working with this property perfectly, UNTIL this last experience.  FROM THE BEGINNING, I had an ongoing bad communication experience with Rowie almost immediately.  In the past the staff would contact me well in advance and we would strategize the event, from the menu, the setup, the room block.  I got the contract sent to me, I first brought up how much more we were being charged this year, and was not happy there was no real concessions there, even though I stated I could guarantee 30 to 40 sleeping rooms.  Last year we did that without a guarantee and got better pricing on our event.  HOWEVER in the spirit of understanding, inflation lately and other challenges faced by the economy post covid, I just went with the flow.  I sent in the signed contract. Weeks went by, still not heard anything, no room block set up, I called and left messages, I emailed, and no response.  I asked again and again over the message and email to get me a signed copy of our contract.  When we got the room block it was $30 dollars higher per room than last year, even though I was willing to guarantee the block. The idea of guaranteeing the block was just ignored, and we were told that was all that could be done.  Then I had to physically show up to the hotel mid day just to get in front of someone and try to get the menu handled and get the link for the room block set up.   Still have almost no communication I showed up to the hotel again in person to go over the menu.  I was told at that time because there was only a week left, that our dessert choices was basically pudding or brownies.  I WAS SO MAD at the moment I could hardly contain my professional demeanor.  We had only a week left because of THE HOTEL'S staff's lack of concern or competence, one or the other.  Normally we had a layout of the room put together ahead if time, which never happened, and sure enough the stage setting was all botched when we arrived.  The ultimate point it WAS HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION and PLANNING, lead to more issues. I kept hearing over and over how the hotel was understaffed, and I do understand that may be an issue, and it certainly makes it harder to do your job, but that does not alleviate you from doing your job.  I pointed out over and over how I was being charged more money this year but got much less!  The hotel's lack of staff should not affect my product I am receiving as a customer unless they are going to charge me less and tell me that, up front you cannot meet the prior expectations. The room block was messed up over and over.  It was not the size or make up that was requested and people were still getting charged the full price, not the room block price. Another issue was we went about 20-30 over the time on the Gala, and literally at 10:10 the hotel staff turned the light up IN THE MIDDLE of our event before it was finished.  Finally the banquet was also a nightmare, they did not properly prepare for our numbers, even though I went over them ahead of time and there was no issue brought up. They ran out of dinners that were PAID FOR and then were very rude to my people who were questioning why they did not get their meal. They also over charged us by 10 meals, and its a lucky thing I had staff registering every person who entered the room, so I have proof, even so, they have still done nothing to correct it. I honestly tried to express my disappointment and basically got, "I am sorry, it won't happen again" from the GM, but NO ATTEMPT at all to fix the awful mess they made of our special event. Pros: Excellent customer service...I couldn't get my key cards to work, so Molly walked back with me to my room from the front desk to ensure I didn't have any further issues after the cards were reactivated. The hotel was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Con: The shower head could be upgraded. read more

Although this Marriott in the Chicago burbs would probably classify as a "typical" Marriott in terms of rooms and amenities, it's staff was outstanding. Very nice and helpful, with requests being handled immediately and graciously. Would very much recommend the hotel if one wishes to stay in the area. Moreover, it's a great deal for the money ($95/night). read more

I picked this hotel based on location, I wanted to near my company's office, but also near Schaumburg. I made an excellent choice. Located right off I-90, this hotel is so clean and beautiful. I felt completely safe staying here, something that is very important to me when I travel. And the staff here is very friendly and hospitable. I am a fan of this Marriott hotel. read more
