This is the rag I used on the bathroom exhaust fan
    Rich G.

I'll start with the good. The hotel itself was nice and the room was a good size for two people. I love that it had a mini fridge(being there for 7 days it was a necessity) and a separate room with a sofa/sleeper. The breakfast in the morning was good. It was a nice change from Door Dashing lunches and dinners. Michelle was super nice. She walked around every morning, when she was working, greeting the guess as they ate breakfast. There was another gentleman and I didn't catch his name. He was an Indian gentleman and was super nice and friendly. I did enjoy that they had a coffee bar there all day and night. Now for the bad. our room was not the cleanest that I've seen. Behind the bed was a lighter and a straw like pipe. The bathroom's exhaust fan was filthy and I had to wipe it off (picture included). The exhaust fan worked much better afterwards. The last thing is about one of the employees. I believe his name was Sam but I'm not 100% certain. If he's going to be the first face people see when they come in to that lobby, he needs to work on his personality. I honestly am not trying to be rude but this guy could barely squeak out a hello after you greet him with a hello. Our first night there, I went down to get a couple bottles of water. While he was on the phone with a customer, I was standing there talking with another guess while we waited for him to finish his call. He all of a sudden started waving us away like "I gotcha. Go away". That what I took from the gesture he gave us. I was disappointed with his attitude because everyone else was super friendly and approachable. Would I stay here again if I had to? Yes. The positives outweighed the negatives for that answer

Room for the weekend! Basic free breakfast Which includes french toast, pancakes, all ready made but you must microwave it. Basic juice, apple & oranges and milk with cereal. Rooms are very spacious with a couch and a full pull out bed. 2 bed includes a mini bar area with fridge and separate sink. Nice little getaway room for a family of 5!

We had to stay at this Hyatt place for 4 nights n hoped for a good stay. Check in went well. Real nice guy. Room was nice n I gotta give props to housekeeping. They do a good thorough job. Except 1st night missing soap but rest they give to us n always made room presentable n clean. Only complaint was our tub 1st night was clogged but after calling them they came to fix next day while we were gone. Breakfast was tasty. Loved the color potatoes n cage free eggs they use. Oatmeal yum. Very comfortable stay. Quiet place. Plus I left my earrings by sink n it was still there at night. Ok I wrote this b4 the last night..we came back late and whole room wasn't cleaned:/ the 3 nights housekeeping was great what happened? Very disappointed bc we came back late n need to leave very early the next a.m. n really needed new towels n freshened up room. Esp this last night. We called down for new towels n toiletries n asked what happened. We needed to tt the manager bc this happened b4 on our trip at another hotel n its odd bc most trips we've never had housekeeping mishaps like this The night person said manager only comes in at 8am and she can give us only 1000pts. We had to leave b4 8am the next day. We grabbed breakfast and spoke to the morning staff which was so nice. She was so understanding n accommodating. Apologized and gave us 5000 pts for the inconvenience. Anyways that was our stay here. Almost perfect..

Had a staycation exploring the suburbs. The room was good size with one king bed, and another room with 2 double beds. The king room comes with standing shower only while the a double beds room comes with a bath tub. We had both kinds of the room. I needed a bathtub doe the kids. April 2021 (Covid-19) We thought the pool reservation was limited to one room only, per hour blocks. I guess it was miscommunication with the hotel when we were on the phone prior to our arrival. The limit was 20 people per pool- per receptionist, although I found later the sign said limit to 12 people. There was no one to enforce this rule because at one point, there were 2, 2, 4, 6 people, and a group of 8 arrived. The pool was quite dirty and didn't look like it was maintained. We used the pool less than 30 minutes., although it was really the main reason of us booking. Other than that, the stay was nice. There is breakfast available from 6:30-8:30am, with Starbucks (in a portable dispenser) coffee. Receptionist were super nice. Easy to find next to a hotel exit.

i was out here on a business trip for about a week. The stay here was nice & suited my business needs except their work out area. I stayed on the 6th floor away from the elevator & it was a peaceful week. ::: PROS ::: + Quick c/i & c/o and they have c/i kiosks (i didn't utilize for i prefer the face to face interaction) + Friendly staff + Free hotel parking + Complimentary hotel shuttle w/ 3 mile radius of hotel + Free Continental B-Fast DAILY - - fresh fruits, yogurt, english muffins, toasts, bagels, pb&j, cereal, coffee, tea milk, oj + 24/7 Guest kitchen services + Clean lobby, guest kitchen, rooms + Spacious room with couch/sitting area, working desk, mini fridge/sink area, comfy king size bed, lotsa pillows! + Fashionable decor & furnishings + Free WiFi + 42" Flat HDTV turnable to face the bed or couch area + Yummy grilled chicken quesadilla ::: CONS ::: - Super small closet - Super small work out area - Pretty small toilet/bathtub/shower room - Bathroom sink/vanity area is located outside of toilet/bathtub/shower room - Limited kitchen dining menu items to order from - Not enough restaurants that is w/in walking distance (you only got IHOP or Chili's) All in all this hotel offers reasonable & basic needs especially for those on-the-go business or pleasure travelers~

Dirty, ants on the floor, milky looking water, blood stain on sheet and random hairs everywhere. Bathroom had weird green lighting and was awkwardly set up with the door being hard to shut once you get in there. Barely any space in the bathroom. The TV remote barely worked and was sticky. TV was staticky and had very limited channels. WiFi was barely working. The hotel in general smelled like hospital. The bed was very uncomfortable as well. Breakfast had very limited choices and dirty plates and bowls to eat from. The plates were sticky as well. The eggs were cold and wet. The food tasted old and stale. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

We were told that the shuttle driver had to come in on his day off, so we did tip him well ($20). On the ride to the airport, he told us that there was a cabal of undocumented people living at the airport. We had our doubts, but we said nothing, as we just wanted to get to the airport and make our flight. We had the same driver when we returned home--and he asked us if we saw said undocumented people. We said, no, there was no such thing at the airport. He said something like "Aha--they are hiding behind a black curtain." This was a lot of crazy--and xenophobia for a ride that we were paying for. And sadly, this should have clued us in to the rest of the experience. We stayed at the hotel at the end of our trip. While the lobby looked clean and well appointed, the rest of the hotel was not. The hallways were dirty with trash, one could obtain a contact high is you breathed deeply enough, and the toilet was malfunctioning. If I could give it negative stars, I would. As a third generation American, the xenophobia alone was enough, but the god-awful condition of the property surprises me that it is still in business. Do yourself a favor--stay about anywhere else.

The property appears to serve more as a residence for certain families rather than a legitimate hotel. The breakfast was mediocre, consisting of reheated food of questionable freshness, and the dining area was dark and dreary. Several long-term "residents" loaded up on food and carried full plates back to their rooms. The elevator felt unsafe and on the verge of breaking, so we opted to take the stairs. The entire hotel was filthy and poorly maintained -- common areas remained uncleaned throughout our stay. We didn't use any of the in-room amenities because everything felt dirty. Do yourself a favor and check the photos before booking -- there are far better options available nearby.

Extremely Disappointing and Unacceptable Treatment!!!!!!!…read more This was our fourth time staying at the Hampton Inn in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. We have stayed here multiple times in the past specifically because it's convenient to take our three daughters swimming during the winter. Unfortunately, this visit was so upsetting that we will never return, and I feel obligated to warn other families. We checked in around 4:00 PM with no issues. Shortly after, my boyfriend went to our car to grab our daughter's pool floaties and goggles. While doing so, a police officer approached him, shined a flashlight into the car window, and questioned him about why he was there inside of his own vehicle, despite the fact that we were registered hotel guests. He was asked for his ID for simply going to his own car. This felt completely unnecessary and inappropriate!!! My boyfriend returned to the hotel, clearly shaken by the interaction. We went to the front desk to calmly address what had happened because we felt harassed and singled out. During the conversation, my boyfriend spoke loudly--not aggressively, just loudly, which is how he naturally talks when he's upset.( which was fully recorded by me) Instead of attempting to de-escalate or listen to our concerns as guests, the front desk lady shouted with anger for us to immediately leave. There was no effort to understand the situation, no professionalism, and no respect shown to us as paying guests. The entire experience felt discriminatory and hostile, especially given that we have stayed here multiple times without issue. What was supposed to be a fun family night turned into an embarrassing and stressful situation in front of our children. We felt judged, unwelcome, and unfairly treated. I would strongly caution families and couples against staying here. If this is how loyal, returning guests are treated, I can't imagine how first-time guests might feel. No family should ever feel targeted, judged, or criminalized while staying at a hotel they paid to be in -- especially when children are present! I believe this incident warrants further review by hotel management and corporate leadership. The involvement of law enforcement, combined with the immediate escalation by hotel staff and the lack of any clear justification, raises serious concerns about how guests are treated and how decisions are made at this property.

Their M Club was still under renovation and they issued cards to dine in a buffet area next to the Bar Louie that's in the lobby. The breakfast, which I took part in the next morning was terrible. I got there about 20 mins after they opened and they were rather busy, but the food was cold and stale. The potatoes were terrible, cold, rubbery, and far from fresh. The scrambled eggs were cold and there were hardly any left. The bacon was the only thing worth eating. Should be noted that all this food was sitting in heated warmers, but those must just be for looks, because they weren't keeping the food warm! The room I got was very nice, it was at the end of the hall on the sixth floor, overlooking the huge Panasonic building nearby. The room was very spacious and nicely setup, with everything in decent working order, except the toilet seat, which was too small for the bowl. When sitting on the seat, you were actually sitting partially on the bowl because the seat was too small. It's these little "attention to detail" things that really make or break a property. Since I stay in Marriotts so frequently I'm sooo sick and tired of the smell of their bathroom soaps and gels. Not sure why they don't rotate these by region, property, etc. They could very easily make it so when I visit different properties in different cities, I experience a different "smell" of soap and bath gel. I know this seems petty, but when these smells are thins pungent, it really does matter. The lobby was beautifully decorated with a player piano playing in it, which was a really nice touch. It's obvious the entire property's common areas were recently refurbished, which makes the property look and feel very nice and slightly more upscale than the typical Marriott. Just a word of warning that the parking lot seems to connect a road to a plaza with people cutting through it. I went to pull out of a parking space once and a car almost hit me driving about 30 MPH thru the lot, just cutting through. Overall, it was a decent stay and I'd stay here again.

I thought maybe it was just our room, but no. The whole hallway smelled musty and like animal urine. It might have something to do with them allowing pets to stay in the hotel. Another thing that happened as soon as we stepped into our room was that the air conditioner's cover broke off. We went to set the temp and boom, it just fell. We intended to notify the front desk in the morning, but the experience of the rest of our stay made us realize that nothing would really be done about it. We asked for a first floor room and they gave us one with a roll in shower, meaning that there is nothing separating the shower from the rest of the bathroom. The whole floor gets wet and guess what? Yes, you got that right! The whole bathroom ALSO smelled like wet dog (or dog urine, take your pick), from the start of our stay till the end. It made the rest of the room reek as well. Staff and house keeping was pretty much nonexistent. They advertise that light house keeping will be done every day, i.e. they'll clean bathrooms, change garbage etc., none of which was done for us. After house keeping was a no show, I called the front desk three times and requested that they please send someone. We were out of towels and the bathroom smelled god awful. We had already settled in with all our stuff, so we didn't ask for a new room. I figured a good cleaning would make the bathroom smell go away, but house keeping never showed up. After my third call, they finally sent someone and all she did was bring new towels. I had to ask her to clean up the rest of the bathroom and change garbage bags, which was embarrassing. I shouldn't have to ask, they're supposed to do that without being requested! No other hotel that I have stayed at ever gave us this issue. This place may be cheap but it's not worth it for any price!
