Over priced. They do know their business. They also use inferior parts. I'm sure if you ask for oem they'll double the cost that's without saying. Sell, sell, sell.....that's the Chicago Driveline way. Spent over 1100$. A year later to within a month...the inferior replacement parts failed. At this point with prices being ridiculous, just take it to the dealer and ask for the correct and proper parts. Pleasant people to deal with but they totally misdiagnosed my Jeep. Took it there to diagnose transmission oil leak on my 5 speed Jeep Wrangler. They said they found that my clutch was soft and the tranny is near "end of life" . They gave me an estimate of over 3 thousand for a new tranny. Took it to another mechanic who said I didn't need a new tranny but he found and replaced 2 worn seald, and he replaced clutch master and slave cylinder for a total of just over $800. Leak gone.. soft clutch fixed. I don't recommend Chicago Driveline. Update 6/18/19 My Jeep Wrangler which is supposed to be at the end of its life is still going strong. I drove 3 Miles to drop off my car for a scheduled appointment. I had to ask another person to meet me there, for a ride back home. I waited at the front desk for a sales person, after a few minutes, I was asked what I was there for? I told him that my wipers were not working, He said we are too busy! I said that I was told to bring the car in today. He said it won't be today, I said okay. He said I am not interested in fixing your wipers, so I left. I drove to a shop in Oak Lawn, on Cicero Ave. They fixed the wiper, changed my oil and did a front brake job, all in one day, Chicago Driveline was very rude to me. Once again, my guys saved the day. Ed, Maurice and the crew always provide me with excellent service. I got a flat, and my air pressure sensor broke on my old rim/tire. I took it to a neighboring tire shop where they charged me for a tire fix + removing the old sensor + and putting a cap or something to keep the tire from deflating since I wasn't replacing the sensor. Well, after all that payment the tire went flat again. So I put some air in it and drove it to Chicago Driveline and they found the old broken sensor - that was supposed to be removed - INSIDE the tire. I am so grateful to have them, they are honest, reliable and master technicians. I've been w/ them since 2013 and have always gotten quality work and reasonable prices. read more

The mechanics are honest and very helpful. I took my car in with a problem that ended up being covered under a factory warranty that I was unaware of. The guys at Chicago Driveline did the research and printed out all of the warranty information I needed to be able to get it fixed at no charge by the dealer. I called ahead for a quote. I gave the service manager at Chicago Driveline detailed information based on service quotes from other mechanics. He gave me a fair quote. I took today off work without pay to drop off my vehicle. I was handing my keys to the service manager and he reaffirmed my price quote. My price quote now was over $550 above his phone quote. I am a diesel mechanic with a bad back. I am positive I communicated accurate info for my phone quote. I would not recommend using this business. read more

I've only been there once thus far but they were recommended by my primary mechanic for doing shocks and struts service. The price seemed just a bit high but I feel I got my money's worth. My mechanic had issues getting a hub bearing removed from spindle. He said his old shop used to do business with them. Without calling I drove up there with both spindles with the hub bearings that I wanted removed. He not only quoted me a good price to remove them he asked if I wanted the new ones pressed in also. He said he was busy and will have them done by the next day but surprisingly a few hours later I got a call they were ready. When I picked them up he had the old ones neatly boxed and the spindles with the new ones were very clean. Even my mechanic commented on how clean the spindles were. Over priced and they dont stand by their work. Paid 600. 00 for brakes and 8,000 miles later they are pulsating. I returned to have them inspected and they tell me due to rust they are not covered and want 600 more to replace. And on top of that they want 49.00 for the diagnosis. Terrible business! read more
