It feels like there is ALWAYS something going on here. On my first visit, my girlfriend took me on a date here to catch a burlesque show. It was absolutely packed and everyone had a great time! And every Friday and Saturday night, there is some reiteration of a goth dance night ($5 cover). I also appreciate the slightly older crowd full of my fellow thirtysomethings, and the upstairs patio cannot be missed when the weather is nice. The cocktail menu isn't anything especially fancy, but there's still something for everyone to enjoy. My favorite is always the Prickly Heat--think a prickly pear margarita that's absolutely loaded with fresh jalapenos. It's not for the weak! There's also food, and while it's not mind-blowing or anything you'll appreciate that you can have a nice snack at midnight on a weekend. Surly Wench is a local cultural institution, and we're lucky to have it.

The awesome security man took control promptly to this upset in the women's restaurant. And the awesome owner basically had that intruder leaving with their member between his legs (acknowledging tr*ns validity at the same time. What tact!). Let's keep the women, and security man restroom clean! The awesome surly patriots at the wench bar made sure to take it to the street and communicate a policy of forgiveness and brutal clarity in making sure certain members of our community cannot go bathroom real quick without a valid state ID or proper members. No one should be allowed to draw on the stall after they are standing outside, I don't care what is wrong with you! God bless these surly patriots for how they protect their American bart patrons. But my songs were being skips while dj sang songs back to back with one person between their sets. However my songs were being shuffled to back of the line somehow and I had wait 30 mins per set while other people were able to go back to back and not have their songs removed at all. Which was just odd, Bartender was nice and dj was just jerk. Honestly it felt little targeted against.. so people of color be beware of coming here or just be open minded when people skip yours songs

I do not think it means what you think it means. I remember when the KRL had a hitching post out in front, and Kolb was a dirt road. Ahhhh...days of yore. Anyway, I was feeling cranky and stressed and like a junkie I needed my fix that only a dive can give. The KRL. This joint is cool by me. I like their drafts, I like their shots, I like the pretty bartender with the ripped up shirt. I liked the cleaning advice about the hot dog machine. Really. It's the final buff that gives the "just grilled " taste. If you're peckish, the KRL also has pizza. And the rolling wieners. The regulars are super cool, happy and play great music on the jukebox. There are two pool tables and numerous flat screens for sports, and NASCAR. (If that's a sport.) [haha...redneck mob with pitchforks and torches* stay away from my house. I grew up watching Dale Sr., Andretti, Petty, and Pearson...oh and Ricky Bobby and Ligtnin' McQueen. And I vaguely remember "Days of Thunder"] Here is how I know it's a legit joint: One of the regs asked me what I did for a living. I was greeted by Jessica, the bar tender who served me a mini pitcher of beer. The beer was cold and refreshing. My wife had a vodka drink which was made exactly how she ordered it. The saloon was alive with people who were playing pool and flinging darts. Country and Western.music was playing on the touch tunes jukebox. Wow! Was a great little honky tonk! There is no food, but you can buy a bag of chips. When I am back in Tucson, this place is on my list. It's a great place with a good vibe.

Unfortunately, that novelty alone isn't enough to make up for the overall experience.

She then proceeded to give poor service because she was occupied putting up decorations for a party. Unless you're in the area or a regular there's no reason to drink here. Nothing special in the inventory or personally to speak of.
