I have been a regular customer at Chic Optique for well over a decade. When i moved back to NYC I tried going to other places and i could not find a place that gave me the great service that Karen and Julie give me. I now fly down to get my eye exams and buy frames which they ship up to me. I value their opinion when i make a purchase and Dr. Brian Asalone is thorough in his exams and always takes the time to answer any questions that i have. They have a great selection of frames and they know the styles that will flatter your face. As mentioned in other reviews the price point is moderate to high but you really do get what you paid for. If your looking for cheap (both price and quality) this is not the store for you. I also love that both Julie and Karen give back to their community. So glad I found this place. They made choosing a pair of glasses incredibly simple - far easier than I imagined. I really think they have a good handle on what their customers are looking for, and I can honestly say that I have never had a more thorough eye exam. Try to walk into Lenscrafters with a bent pair of glasses and get thembent back for free! Wonderful team between the eye exam and the excellent personal service I received I'm amazed that after all the time I've been going to this business for all my eyecare needs they their customer service only gets better each time I visit. Thank you for a great job on my new progressive bifocals which I am already getting quite accustom to after only a few day. I have received very poor customer service at this store on several occasions. I have purchased 3 pair of sunglasses from this place over the past 3 years. And paid Between $150-250 each (Which was 20% over manufacturers suggested retail) So one of the frames lost a screw. They replaced it with one that doesn't fit. My lens is still loose. I asked if they could order a new screw, they said sorry they don't make it any more. However when I look on prada's website they still have the frame for sale. So I went back. they refused to replace the screw with one that fits, and now they even refuse to tighten the screw down, saying: "sorry, it will break if I tighten it." I asked what could we do, they said "sorry nothing" and moved onto the next customer. I could not believe how much they could care less. They were very rude about it too, saying "sorry" in a condescending tone. All these people care about is making the sale. God forbid you should have a problem with your glasses after the sale. they are not interested in helping you. I took the frame to another optical store and they tightened the screw down no problem. I will never shop at this store again. Terrible service. And this is the first time I have ever written a negative review about anybody. I highly recommend you go else where. read more

This is how they work. They have a very pleasant staff that will help you and flatter as much as is needed to make the sale and then if there are any issues, the owner will come out and be as nasty as needed to keep your money and get you out of the store. I was warned by friends not to go there but I still went and learned the hard way. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, I was basically "persuaded" to purchase a pair of glasses that ended up costing me over $600 that are still sitting in my desk. Go anywhere else but not here. This was the worst retail experience that I ever had. If this happen on the street and not in a store it would have been a considered a crime. A 3 Card Monty game but with glasses instead of cards. read more

Absolutely the best I have ever had. More concerned with your needs and how you look and more importantly feel in your new spectacles than trying to up sell you. I now have 9 pair of glasses all look and feel great. Each time my prescription changes I add a new frame and change out the lenses in the rest of the frames. Julie and Karen are great. I drive over 100 miles to utilize Chic Optique and I will continue to do so. read more

DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING THERE. Sorry I won't even give them one star. My experience was very bad to say the lest. The person I talked too, treated me like I never had eyeglass before to start with. Sec, after one year my glasses are worthless thanks to the bad job making my lenses, they did the worse job making my lenses I have ever seen and I have been wearing glass for 30 yeas, and when I went back for them to fix it the staff told me its my fault I most of done something. My 10 yr glasses I got from Walmart looked much better than the one ur old glasses I got from them. and the person got the nerve to tell me that most people need a new lease every year anyway. after he said that I just walked a way. I hilghly discourage anyone to buy anything there. I'm not the only one with bad experience, 4 of my friends said the same thing. I had to go buy a new farm from a great place with modern selection and great staff. read more

I was looking for a eye docto and I usually go to LensCrafters because I assumed I was getting a deal wrong!!! I started doing some researched and found this little boutique and I was doubting in how I was going to feel but I called made an appointment got there by the time I entered the door the customer service was 100% amazing. Wasn't like LensCrafters where they look at u and downgrade you like if u can't afford a pair of glasses. So I went in the doctors office he asked me what was wrong and I explained to him what was going on he listen to every detail he took his time to find a perfect prescription for me and explain to me the difference between my new glasses and old glasses which was amazing I had never had an eye doctor explain much you can deffinatly see he loves his job dr. Brain was great and when I was done Julie and Karen helped me pick out glasses and they helped me find the style I was look for and my price range I was willing to pay. Little to find out they are actually cheaper than LensCrafters and have insurance as well. So I am deffinatly making this my doctor and shop to get new glasses. Coming back for my contact that's how comtrable they made me feel!!! read more
