My insurance covers $300.00. They instructed me to a wall with about 10 frames that were cheap looking and cost about $20.00 so they're trying to tell me I have to pay $280.00 for single vision lenses that are just for reading. When I asked again, I was told yes, this is what they covered. Would not break down the lenses and frames separately. I called a few optical stores and the going prices for regular single vision polycarbonate lenses are between $60.00 to $120.00 dollars so are they trying to charge $180.00 dollars for frames that look like mediicaid frames. Do not buy glasses from this place and shop around as they are trying to rip off customers. I understand making a profit but cheap looking frames for almost $200.00, I don't think so. Reading glasses in pharmacy look better than these frames.

I…read moreinitially started with the location nearest to home since it would've been easier to get back home and in the event I needed glasses, the pick up would have been easier. However the young lady who answered the phone at the Pembroke Pines was location was very rude and seemed like she didn't want to be at work. Everything I asked was limited to one word answers and offered nothing else. So I broadened my search just a tad to "what's close to home". With that search I came across this Miami Lakes location and whomever answered the phone was so helpful. She was so helpful that she was able to get me an appointment for that day later in the afternoon. When I arrived everyone was so nice and my wait was very minimal. I was out of there before I even hit the one hour mark. I was tested, saw the doctor and had a nice chat with her. Had I let the first location deter me, I would've never came here and been able to refer other people to this location.

What called my attention was firts the great reviews but onse I got here I loved their glasses. Most importantly the owner spends more than an hour with me picking my glasses because I couln't decide. Through the process she was patient and so sweet. As a favor I asked her to adjust my two year old glasses, the one I came in with. When she heated it to readjust one of the lenses cracked and this had previously happen the first day when i got them. The owner was so amazing she agreed to replace the lenses for free. After trying to replace my new lenses on old glasses then the actual glasses broke, remeber they where two yeras old. Well they decided to replace them with brand new glasses with current prescription and did not charge me a penny. Also, the doctor was super sweet and really took her time answering questions and checking for the right prescription. I would totally recommend this place. Give it a chance and you wont regret it ...

On Friday last week, January 26, 2018 I called and left a message to make an appointment as soon as possible. It is Monday, January 29 and I have not received a response. I only know this because I called while at the gym and that is what the timer on my phone stated. Again, as a doctor I would not want my staff to have anyone on hold for that long. Even though I was referred to this ophthalmologist by my mother and sister, after my call experiences I will choose someone else.
