I have visited this place off and on for years. At one time, this was the only place I would visit. The quality of service has definitely changed. I always get gel polish on my toes and nails. I had gel polish on the outside of my toe that I know the lady saw because I saw it. My nails looked just as awful as my feet and a different person did both. Save your self money and time by going somewhere else. The pedicure was awful and half done along with my nails. I will be surprised if my nails last a week. I highly recommend VP Spa in White Hall, but I was trying to save time. That's on me but never again $120 later and I got a fill not even a full set. read more

I had a bad experience with Chic nails last year at this time and decided to give them another try. I got an acrylic set for the first time this time and was quite $75 for a much harder design, so I chose a simple one to lower the price. I got to the front desk and was still charged the same amount ever though I'd chosen something different. I got home and three nails broke on separate days. They fixed them for free, but i was aggravated that I had to drive across town each time. They told me that the guy who did my set had been fired because he wasn't doing well. So I asked if i could just get them completely redone since it wasn't my fault. The receptionist told me she would give me a call right back. After waiting two hours I stopped by the salon because i needed my nail fixed before going out of town. When i sat down, Jimmie starts to take my polish off of the nails that were not messed up. I told him i was only there for a fix if one nail (since Lonnie hadn't called me back) and he said no he wanted to fix them all (I assumed complimentary because I'd had to come numerous times) He wouldn't allow me to change the color or design, and only painted them one color instead of two like they originally were. He rushed through and finished the entire fill in less than 30 minutes, but when i finished they still charged me $50 for FIXING their mistake. The next day? Another nail broke. I went up there for a refund because at this point I'd spent over $120, and they refused to give me one. They wouldn't even offer a gift card. BOTH ladies at the front desk suggested i leave a review and even dispute the charge because my nails were not done correctly and they knew the owner wouldn't do the right thing. Disappointed . Highly. I've been doing here for pedicures for over 6 years, but they have lost a customer. The pictures only show 3 of the 6 nails that broke from this set. read more

Called and made an appointment to go in for gel x in the morning. I got in a little bit after my time which I was told no issue and was seated. The nice front desk girl started to soak off my dipped nails and confirmed with me I wanted the gel x which I replied yes. Sat there for a bit while my nails did their thing. It wasn't too busy, only a few nail techs doing pedicures. After awhile the receptionist said that there was only one nail tech who does gel x and after the pedicure, she was doing another clients nails. I was offered to do a full set instead since I was getting a design. I said okay that's fine. I was a bit bummed I was getting what I asked for but whatever. I waited another 10 mins for more nail techs to get in and was switched to another chair. I had a nice young man, probably in his 20s, start on my nails. He looked over the picture and asked if I wanted the almond shaped nails. I said yes but a bit shorter if possible. He was on the phone most of the time taking personal calls and wasn't very interactive with me. Offered me a water and asked me how I was which was nice. I'm pretty quiet as is so didn't mind as much. After an hour or so he finishes and I thank him for his service. The salon it self wasn't so bad. Music was pretty loud. Chairs were okay could use some new ones. I go check out and my total was $120! I expected it to be high but wow. They charged for the dipped soak off, a full set, and design. Now, the design wasn't so bad. It's good but mediocre at best. The man was super nice so I still added a tip. Would I go back? Yes. I usually give a salon at least two tries before I get my opinion in and never go back. For the prices to be that high, I would expect a bit more out of their employees in regard to asking more questions and maybe be more involved in the service they are doing. Maybe update their decor a bit but whatever. Advice: ask pricing before you go in if you are looking to budget yourself. If you don't mind spending more for a design, I would highly recommend you get something worth your money. read more

I had read the reviews, & decided to try this place. First, the foot rest of the chair was broken. You get a choice of Spanish, Thai or no talking at all. I made an appointment for a "spa manicure with shellac". I verified upon arrival that I wanted a MANICURE. I initially told them I wanted only my own nails painted but I let them talk me into getting tips and dip instead of shellac. Which would have been fine ... if I had gotten a MANICURE which was my total reason for coming in! I even specifically told the nail tech that I wanted "manicure and my cuticles done" and he acknowledged me ... but then did nothing but drill my cuticles back some (which is a pet peeve of mine - this hurts!) and put on tips and dip my nails and apply oil and then a small amount of lotion and said "ok we are done!". To top it off they charged me $58 on my credit card and then said I'm sorry that was incorrect it is $63 AFTER they had submitted the $58 charge so now I have two charges until the first is credited back probably in 5-7 business days. And their website quotes a gel shellac manicure as $40 (which includes cuticle grooming btw) so it cost $23 more for dip? And you didn't bother to tell me? I will never go back again. read more

I always have a positive experience each time I come here. The customer service, the services, and the aesthetics exceed anywhere in Central Arkansas. I do recommend making an appointment if at all possible to decrease your wait. I have not seen a salon that has as many color options than Chic Nails. The cleanliness and safety concerns are appreciated- they place a liner in each pedicure chair along with a new tool set. I never had an issue with pedicure other than the fact that they have a stool for your foot to sit on in order to remove dead skin from the heel and really smooth things out and I'm a curvy lady so the young man couldn't hold it up but I expected him to go grab that tool and he never did so I left and did the rest myself at home. Still tipped though because it's a pedicure and it looked nice. My nail experience today was something that I dealt with the last time I got my nails done, but I assumed that perhaps there was just miscommunication so I paid and tipped and left without being fully happy with the end product. Nail way too thick and I asked her to file down more and she said "oh it's fine" However that was the first time. Today, I showed her a photo of what I wanted and she placed a stiletto tip on it. I told her to please take that tip off and put the square tip on. She asked if I wanted them long? I said no not that long but I want square tip and the design. She said "no, I'll cut it down just trust me because if I do it the other way it'll be too thick and will have a curve with a square tip" I said "no, in order to get the square shape AND medium length that I want, you need a square tip OR I'll have to settle for a shorter length which I don't want that either" then she started being messy and completely unprofessional saying "when you go elsewhere to get your nails down you'll be bringing this back to me saying it isn't how you wanted and I was right I've been doing this a long time" I said "then you should understand and comprehend the fact that customer is right and professionalism and service skills are vital in this business I'm not willing to pay you for what I'm particularly asking you not to do so please just take it off." She kept making comments and another technician jumped in and tried to explain what she was saying and I told her the same thing, "I know what I want" she should've jumped in to get me what I wanted as a customer. The front desk young lady that is ALWAYS so chill helped me out but she will not TOUCH me again she behaved as if she was the one paying. I'm fairly new to the area and paid for last min childcare just for this. Chic Nails has truly redeemed themselves! Lana has done my nails for the past two months and Chloe has been doing my pedicures for the same amount of time. Each visit is easy, fun and worth the price. I rarely have an appointment but I am accommodated each time. I have asked for various services and they have gone above and beyond each time. STAY AWAY FROM CHIC NAILS! I have gone here for the last two and a half years, as I live just down the road. I recently had a new set of acrylics put on and have had a regular fill done every two weeks...and every week a nail has broken. First off, this is an indicator of poor work/craftsmanship. Going in to get the nail fixed? Hell. I called to find out appropriate times to show up only to show up at the time they told me and be turned away. Frustrated with being yanked around about a time for them to fix their mistake when you're a working professional with little time on your hands? They will not make an appointment for fixes despite their poor communication. If you are not getting Shellac at this Salon, they do no cater to you. And today was not the 1st time I felt this way. This is MY PLACE for nails in Little Rock. I haven't tried that many places, but I'm very happy here and they have my loyalty. Good price, good massage chairs, good TV, good magazines, etc. I've never seen anything gross here. You know what I'm talking about- Everyone's station is really clean. Other nail salons have things that look a little questionable, but Chic Nails is 100% clean and sanitary in every nook and cranny. I'm also really happy with the prices. Other nail salons in the area seem to charge a little more for sub-par work, but I think the prices are very fair at Chic Nails. The ONLY problem I have is that the other patrons will speak on their phones. I'm a cell-phones-in-public hater and I would love if they had a "No Cell Phones" policy, but I'll live. read more

Called on a Saturday to set appointment for Sunday, she informed me they only take walk-ins on Sunday's. So, I went in on Sunday got there at 3 stated I would like a full set and a polish change it took 45 min before I was able to be seen I waited finally get a guy he's doing my nails he did not know the prices every time I asked for the price, he would get someone else to see. I felt like I was discrimated against honestly. He did one design I asked the price he stated they were $15 for two designs without rhinestones, too me that was a bit extreme. He had to redo the one design 3 times, so I just informed him 1 is fine (disappointed). Now, I'm waiting to get my toes polished by this time is 5:45 the closed at 5 as I was getting my feet ready to be done, he informed me they charge an additional $5 to take off Shellac polish from toes and $40 just for them to paint them ... at this point I was done I paid and got out of there I would not recommend they are unfair and extremely high. read more

He cut my finger with a damn nail file...how do you file so rough and vigorously that it doesn't just draw blood,but cut you in a knife looking incision (although small,very painful) also made a couple nails crooked,if he knew I'm such a loyal customer to those good to me,I'm sure he would've discounted or offered me a later service discounted of something due to the pain,crookedness,and blood. They are rather expensive for service. I got a regular pedicure ($30) and a gel manicure ($35) for a total of $65! I live in Atlanta and I pay $55 for both of those services. $45 in some places. So that was extremely high. My pedicure was ok, I think I just chose the wrong color. She did good with cleaning my cuticles. My gel manicure is perfect however she did nick me while cleaning my cuticles. But my mani looks flawless and perfect. I don't think I would return here again unless this is normal little rock prices. read more

I've read the negative comments and the only truth is they were right about the wait time and the fact you MUST make an appointment if you don't want to stay all day. However, only a couple reviews spoke negative about the quality...so what does that tell you! I no longer live in LR, but I went to Laney and Jason for years upon moving to Atlanta. Every time I come home to visit, I always make an appointment and walk out with a huge smile on my face and perfect nails and toes!! Not to mention, when I return back home to ATL, I always have TONSSS of compliments on my nails. I get an acrylic refill (or full set whenever I'm in town) + gel polish, and pedicure. Laney always does something fun to a few of my Nails such as chrome, foil, or some fun glitter. Yes, all of these are extra prices, but I'm a firm believer, you pay for what you get. Yes, you have to wait, yes they are pricey, but they provide quality work and they are amazing with their craft! Living in Atlanta for almost 6 years, I have YET to find a nail tech as good as Laney (even though I do have a nail tech)!!! Vicki, Laney's sister, owns and operates Chic Nails 2009 in Hot Springs, she's just as amazing!!!!! I can't speak for anyone else in the shop except Laney and Jason, so try at your own risk, but I'm sure they're good as well. In order for them to streamline appointments and minimize wait times, they need a mature and organized manager to run the shop, other than that, Chic Nails has always been my favorite nail salon in town! Worst place. Waiting time was said to be 10 mins, I had to wait an hour. Their pedicure stations don't have a plastic cover which grosses me out because I don't trust people when it comes to cleaning. I'd prefer disposable covers that are changed after every customer. They kept saying 10 mins-10 mins but I literally had to wait for way too long. And I wouldn't mind waiting if they didn't lie to me. I was on a time limit so that's what made me really mad. I wish they were more hygienic as well. Their tools were out in the open too and weren't washed after every customer so I'm sorry that I don't want any fungus infections on my toes. I'm not sure how they get by cosmology inspections. Oh well, I will not return to this place again. Ever. read more

I love my nails I posted a pic they turned out pretty close to my wish pic. I really wanted the shattered glass look on two of my nails but they just did the "push and pull" technique with the foil instead of cutting up the foil. Also on my four loose glitter nails I wish they woulda painted underneath first bc you can see thru em. They feel really thin too like they could break really easy so I'm trying to be careful with them. The guy really took his time doing em he trimmed the sides perfect so they don't look so fake, the surface is perfect and not wavy lol and he cleaned up underneath too so there's not just chunks of acrylic back there. I hate when places forget that. The price is a little to high for me it was 72$ I personally think 60$ would have been fair. But oh well, just my honest opinion. Excellent sanitary conditions, have never been cut and am very confident in their attention to cleanliness. I had tried so many different nail salons over the years and this is the one that is my forever go-to. I have highly recommended it to several people and they have also been pleased. The salon is very nice and we came in late (2:30 and they close at 5:00) on a Sunday and they still took us in. Which was nice, but Prices are way too high compared to other salons, a deluxe spa pedi will cost you $75 with gel polish. Most places Its 50 to 60. There also was a bit of confusion because I asked for a full set and ended up with a manicure, I didn't correct him because it was late in the day and I was ready to be done. That being said, my manicure was nice, but once again over priced. I think it was $40. Most places charge that for a full set. I won't be back mainly because I don't live close but also because of the really high prices. read more

Love this place. It's clean and very nice looking on the inside. Everyone I've spoken to in there is accommodating and kind. I've been in twice for a shellac and constantly get comments on how good my nails look. My shellac lasted three weeks last time and I work in a hospital...I'm SUPER tough on my hands. I've never been cut here (I swear I hadn't had a good manicure in my life until I went to the hot springs location) so I decided to try the little rock location.
