The recipe to a perfect dream wedding starts off with amazing vendors! The Backpocket Hero Team,…read morewho coordinated my special day in September, exceeded my expectations by working along side me in making my day momentous. Janice, the lead coordinator was detailed orientated, organized, and well focused about the execution. Let's start off with the bundle of assistance we needed as we were perplexed by how much coordination goes into a wedding celebration. Janice and her assistants supported us in refining our vision of the wedding, the overall flow of the wedding schedule, and most importantly the execution! As the months turned into weeks, our vision of the wedding evolved and often times became blurry. We needed to refocus. By engaging in weekly meetings with Janice and her team prior to the wedding day, we were able to resolve the details that appeared to rattle our nerves. Our vision became clearer that our wedding was about us and that all the planning would eventually fall into place. Planning a wedding always seems so easy but putting the parts together and making it happen is the struggle. We wanted to make sure every moment was captured and by reviewing our wedding day schedule carefully with Janice and the team, we were able to incorporate the moments we wanted. They provided thoughtful and realistic feedback that helped us keep the schedule moving along but still flexible. The team furthermore provided support at our Rehearsal smoothing out last minute details. When the day finally arrived, the team worked with our amazing vendors to make sure the operations ran smoothly for both our ceremony and reception. The team provided every level of support from monitoring the schedule to the setup up of personalized decorations. Everything was beautiful and breathtaking! When I arrived to my reception, there was a moment my heart skipped a beat because of how put together the venue looked. At the end of our night we were able to capture all the moments we wanted. We had the time of our lives! From the start to the finish, there really is no secret to the perfect wedding recipe. Just as long as you believe in your vendors, they will make your visions come to life. You will be in good hands with the Backpocket Hero team!

Janice guided me calmly through the process of going through piles of papers and office supplies, keeping me on task when I got distracted. She was very hands-on, getting in and helping me dust and vacuum. Janice also helped me step back, look at the big picture, and think creatively about the overall organizing process when I got too caught up in details. The whole experience of working with Janice was great, but the best part of having her help me organize my home office might have been that she took all the things to be donated with her, so I didn't need to worry about about them! (This may be a particularly big deal for me since I don't have a car.) Thanks Janice!

I had extremely…read morehigh expectations of all our vendors for our wedding, and Danielle was hands-down the best of the lot. To put it in context, I worked at a high-end florist when I was at Stanford, and I went through proposals from floral designers that do arrangements for French Laundry, Chez Panisse, Delfina etc etc. But Danielle fit our style, both aesthetically and personality-wise, perfectly. Both my fiance and I knew from the minute we first met her that she was it. Our first meeting happened completely last minute, and Danielle made the effort to meet us for breakfast at 830am in Palo Alto, when she lives in the city (when she's up in Northern CA, and not in LA, that is). She had her work on her handy dandy iPad to show us, and we explained to her our vision - modern, elegant, authentic, full of color and life - but not over the top extravagant. After our table mock-up at the rental company, my then-fiance told me that he had never believed that florals could be so beautiful. Danielle picked up cases of fruits that my mom provided for our wedding day arrangements, she sourced lily of the valley and other fresh seasonal flowers, supplied butcher paper for the kids tables for crayon drawing, and created stunningly beautiful tables at our wedding. Her sense of style is impeccable, and everyone could not stop raving about how gorgeous the flowers (and frankly, everything) were. She ended up providing design guidance on a variety of things from the lighting and draping in the barn, to ceremony aisle decor made up of small kumquat planters, to day-of signage, and she was resourceful up until the very end. She even brought leftover arrangements to our day after brunch so that our guests could enjoy the arrangements for just a little longer. We had an amazing wedding - not just because it was so perfectly planned and beautifully executed - but that definitely helped. As my hubby says, he thought ppl who wanted over-the-top weddings were always a little misguided - until we had our own - and having memories that are just that gorgeous really do add to how special the memories become. And those special memories absolutely wouldn't be as beautiful as they are without Danielle's artful eye apparent everywhere that day.

At first I thought she only covered LA, but to my delight, I realized she did weddings in SF as well! Danielle is not only a great floral designer but has holistic artistic vision. I didn't have a planner/designer, and with Danielle I didn't need one. I gave her photos of my design inspiration, flowers I liked, and decoration details, and she helped me pull my thoughts together. She gave me recommendations on things I could buy/rent (she found our linens and dinner chairs, and told me about demijohns), and gave me great advice on the overall décor (including exercising restraint!). I loved loved loved our flowers. She took my ideas, and took them much further, pulling together a cohesive look that was still fresh. Our wedding made it into Style Me Pretty's Best of 2012, and Danielle deserves a lot of the credit! Danielle, thank you for being a pleasure to work with, and helping us have the wedding of our dreams!
