In my review I would give Queen and her dip manicure 5 stars. The atmosphere and overall 4 stars. And I will not rate my pedicure as I was not happy with it, I feel the person who did it does not accurately represent the salon, so I am not including it. I am fairly sure if I went again and had a different person I would have satisfactory results. My manicure came out really nice, it is a week on and I am still happy. I would go back to queen for sure. I met the owner and she was amiable and friendly too. The atmosphere was nice and clean. I was very satisfied with the color choices for dip polish. I like to rate the whole experience incase people prefer one thing over the other. The music was not interesting, it was Muzak. The atmosphere was relaxing but not upbeat. They offer wine and drinks but I did not partake. I did sit in the massage chair for my pedicure and it was a very strong and aggressive massage, the water was perfect, but the lights were low, which seems like a good thing but I might have noticed how busted my pedicure results were if the lights were not so low. I would go here again. So far it is one of my top two places. The other place they talk my ear off, which is fun but tiring. Moods change and sometimes you prefer one thing over the other, so it is good to have more than one favorite. read more

Been going here for a while but walked in the other day for a pedi. Gal I normally have was unavailable-. Male technician was NOT good. He left my legs wet and cold outside the water and walked away? Returned over 5 minutes later. NO massage at all. Needed to ask for lotion to be used after legs were washed, Paint job is awful. Will not return. Literally worst pedicure of my life. More expensive than my normal place but was in need of a pedicure for this week so I gave it a whirl. Really rough filing across the tops of my nails hurting the skin on the sides. Then the paint job is a whole other issue. My 7 year old could have done a better job. Service was horrible, i showed a picture of what i wanted for nails & requested the same length in the picture as well. she cut my nails way too short & didn't shape them up around the cuticle area, they look nothing like the picture & are uneven. i also got a pedicure & she cut my nails down as far as they could without asking me & now they're sore. she barely used any polish so they're extremely light & i am completely unsatisfied with the work. It's super painful (more than any other place I have been). Like a lot more painful and takes a lot longer. Excellent service - my new go to! After relocating to the area ~a year ago, I've been searching for a clean & reliable nail salon. While I arrived 30 minutes before they closed, the nail technician did not rush me out, but stayed late and offered a lavender spa pedicure. It was lovely after a day on my feet. She did an excellent job, I'm absolutely planning on returning. They offer a nice variety of spa pedicures, while I had their lavender, which seems to be their signature, I'm looking forward to testing the others. Solid 5 star experience. read more

I had been here previously and had great experiences. I was appalled by the bad service yesterday. I walked in for a pedicure at 12:15 and mentioned I needed the basic pedicure as I had an appt nearby at 1:45. She assured me this would be fine. The technician I had was likely the slowest I've ever had- and not good. She mentioned that she had only been doing this for six weeks, and had been a barista before. It looked like this could have been the first pedicure she had ever given. She was very slow and didn't seem to have technique at all. I kept glancing at the clock and ended up having to run out at 1:42 without even drying. It didn't look like she even painted all of the nails! I've never had such a terrible pedicure. read more

I went in yesterday for a pedicure and casually asked how long it would take to add a Shellac manicure. They graciously offered to do both services at the same time. The Shellac manicure includes curing under UV lamps and a paraffin treatment, yet these were done easily. I was pleased with both results. I've only had my eyebrows done here, so I can't review any of the other services they offer. I've been coming here for over a year, every since my favorite place closed. They charged $12 for an eyebrow wax, which is reasonable compared to other salons and extremely well-priced compared to places like the Benefit brow bar. I've always just walked in and usually got taken within 10 minutes. The ambiance is nice. I don't usually get nail services done but if I did I'd probably go here. I've only had one wax that I didn't think was great - a lot of tweezing, not much waxing. But it was a while ago, and when I mentioned offhand to the owner, she said she would be taking care of it. The last time I went I saw Ruba. I hadn't come here for a while, and was despairing. She fixed them, explained just where I went wrong, and told me to come back and see her in two weeks, which I am definitely going to do. read more

A friend of mine and I went today for the first time. First impression was that it was huge with a really soothing atmosphere. We only wanted pedicures so we were taken to the brightly-lit (read: not soothing) middle room. While some of the chairs appeared to be newer, ours were cracked and not working properly. I was being seen by a man who was preoccupied with the football game that another customer was watching (and cheering for, loudly). I was prepared to leave a less than stellar review. Then the aromatherapy add on. After our regular pedicure was finished, but before polish, we were moved to a private room with two luxurious chairs, lights off. It was an amazing 30 minutes with an excellent massage and our choice of DoTerra oils (we both chose the immune support blend). The room was filled with the scent. It was very relaxing and I highly recommend this service! Afterwards, we were brought back into the original chairs for polish. I would have LOVED if they did the polish in the aromatherapy room with dim lights or a spot light so we could continue relaxing and not have to be moved so much. Everything was mediocre. 1) make me pay first or last and not during my visit while my nails are wet. Not cool. 2) exceptionally hard to understand what they're saying. Very unclear English. 3) used pumice square - same as I have at home- which did little for my heels and toes. I had to ask the lady to do my heels again which has never happened at other places . If my " winter" feet are bad other places breakout the cheese grater or razor without asking. Instead I got lame excuses and then she went to get the grater but still didn't do great . 4) if you're going to wax my feet, use enough to cover my feet AND leave it on long enough to count. I was part of a larger group and felt she rushed this 5) massage part was a joke - ineffective and weak. I don't get pedis often but have had enough to know that this place was the worst. read more

We had a great experience at this nail salon. It is a very clean and nicely decorated. My mom and I both left with great pedicures, neither of us were jealous of the other's toes. Both of us received great paint jobs. :) When I got home, my toe nails got smudge marks in them. Beware, they do not use clean instruments. I had to ask the nail technician to get a new sanitized pouch of instruments, she smiled, and tried to clean the instruments with acetone before using it on me. First of all, this was my first time coming here and I was super impressed with the place. The zen scenery hit me so hard, my jaw dropped because it was so exceptional. As a walk-in customer, they greeted me with a smile and I did not have to wait for long at all. I was appointed to Loanne and she must be like hands-down-the-greatest technician I ever had. She treated me like I wanted to be treated, respectfully and politely. Her service definitely worths my money and my time. I don't know about other customers, but for me she went out of her way to make me happy and I ended up leaving the place with a biggest smile on my face. It's amazed how she gained my trust after 3hours of service. I don't live in Leesburg, however, the next time I'm in town and up for a quick mani-pedi, Loanne definitely be my gal. read more

When I went in for a mani, there wasn't a wait however the manicurist that was assigned to me (Tony) wasn't friendly & within the time that I got just a mani Tony & Vivian switched in doing my nails!!!!! Vivian fixed 1 of my nails by adding gel to it & did a horrible job!! It was all lumpy, she didn't clean under my nails before polishing them even after I mentioned it & once Tony finished with me he sat me upfront to dry & didn't turn on the dryer!! Great little nail salon! I rarely get my nails done, but when looking for a salon I an concerned with cost, cleanliness and comfort. I prefer a place that doesn't hit you in the face with polish-and-acetone upon walking in the door, is clean and well-kept, has reasonable prices, and whose personnel are welcoming and helpful. Chi Spa Lounge delivers on these items and more. I was able to easily make an appointment for a weekend mani-pedi by phone; the person answering was great at addressing my questions. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately and the staff confirmed my scheduled service before welcoming me to the back area for pedicures. I chose the lavender spa pedicure and a classic manicure; both turned out nicely and I'm happy with the results. (If you're super-OCD you might not like it, but for the casual mani-pedi customer I'm sure it's at least adequate.) The whole salon is tastefully decorated and feels cozier than you'd think you'd find in a strip mall nail salon, with pendant lamps, curtains between pedissage chairs, and artwork on the walls. (There's a lot from IKEA, but it's a lot more than some salons do!) I was impressed that the layout of the shop seemed well-planned. Everything seemed clean and well kept, the staff were friendly (even offered me beverages and fresh cake during my pedicure! whaaat!), and even if my mani-pedi wasn't the 100% best I've ever had it was definitely a nice "getaway" atmosphere and that's enough to keep me coming back. Other notes: - Their website is well-designed and clearly shows all of their pricing information - They offer to keep a set of tools just for you for $8 - I went on a Saturday morning and was surprised it was so slow in the salon, but even the staff were talking about it; we postulated that the impending government shutdown was causing a lot of people to cut back. I don't think this salon would have have so many employees working if they had expected a slow day, so I can't fault them for how business was going. - Only negative: I was briefly annoyed that one of the employees (only male, late 20s, maybe a relative of the owner?) was obviously bored and was just hanging around, talking to the staff, trying to flatter me on my not-really-that-amazing nail hygiene, making weird conversation (I don't care that you haven't done laundry in a month and still have a closet full of designer duds to wear) and all-around being a pretentious distraction. Whatever. I doubt this guy does this every day, so no big deal. All in all, pretty satisfied. It's no Lansdowne, but it's no Nails'R'Us, either. Enjoy! read more

What the place has in looks, it lacks in quality of service. My wife and I went to VA for vacation and went to the spa for shiatsu massages. Hers was great (she got the regular staff member), mine was like getting a car waxing. They have you covered with a sheet when you are getting your massage, but I don't see the point, as there is zero professionalism. My "masseuse" was brought in from another spa to handle the "demand" and prattled on and on about how her spa, and lighting, and layout was better. When she wasn't furiously rubbing oil into your skin, plunking the bottle down on your body wherever it will rest, or shaking your extremities like a Rottweiler, you got an earful on how substandard the facility is. If you are looking for a place to go and relax, you would have an easier time volunteering for medical testing. read more

I was in town for a wedding this past weekend, my friend and I went in yesterday go get our nails done. It was very clean and had a great spa feel. I got a full set pink & white nails ($58) and that took an hour to do. The nail on my point finger on my right hand is crooked & I told the lady who did my nails & she said it was too late to fix it but will discount my price. I did not get a discount, I paid full price. She burned the sides of my fingers and the tips with the nail file. The rest of my nails look great, minus the burns & the crooked one. read more

Oh I wish I could right a good review. Unfortunately no. I went there for the first time today. I was assigned a manicurist , I guess "Ann", the short hair woman. She was horrible! I did Shellac, she messed up one nail, I showed her, she fixed little with polishing, and said "there!". I had to ask her to redo it! I had a 10 second bad foot massage. I guess I she got upset with me, so she was making me really uncomfortable till the end. I would not recommend it to a friend. The place was empty on Sunday! However, instead of making me feel welcome in their new salon, they tried to push extra services. At the end, I got ripped of!!! They had $27 special for Shellac nails, but they charged me full price of $35! Even after I reminded them about it. NOT coming back! read more

I stopped in before an appointment I had in the area and had one of the most inclusive, relaxing SHELLAC gel French manicures ever. For just under $40 I had a couple nails cut down, hands soaked, French manicured with Shellac gel (not the cheap off brand) AND a paraffin wax for my hands after the hand and forearm massage. I've been going to Chi Spa for over a year now and they've added private rooms and beautiful, neo decor. The new decors and rooms amaze you at first but it truly comes down to the quality of the service itself. I fell in love with Chi Spa because it was a wonderful place to be pampered and the place is clean. Recently however, the Lounge has been lacking a vibrant atmosphere and my recent nail-tech Tandy treated me awfully. I've had her my last two times, by chance I suppose, and she is stone-cold and unfriendly! The first time I had her, she intentionally slapped my calves for me to move my feet in-and-out of the pedicure bowls. When I appeared shocked and appalled that she slapped my calves, she gave me a displeased look back! I was stunned. She then proceeded to ask me if I wanted any waxing done. I politely declined, despite the fact that she slapped my calves. She asked me to wax again at the end of the pedicure, and once again, I declined. As I was drying my toes, she asked me yet again about the waxing. The next time, Tandy was the only tech available and I asked for a peppermint Spa pedicure that comes with a 10 minute foot massage, or at least the greeter up front had said. I had my eyes closed during the massage but I kept track of the time on my phone. The massage ended in five minutes and Tandy did not even massage my feet. She just slid her hand around my legs for fives minutes. She also kept pushing me to get waxing done. She is NOT friendly at all and did not smile ONCE. I used to love this place but the atmosphere ceased to produce a spirited atmosphere. There are a select few that I do a great quality job-but because they are great manicurists, they are usually booked up such as Lisa and Tony. call ahead and book for them--or else you will be left with the dreaded Tandy. read more

I have had most of their services: from manicures, pedicures, facials, massages, to waxing and I've been a satisfied customer. I had absolutely the best experience here. Even though they seemed extremely busy they were able to take my nieces (5&3) and my sister in law and I for pedicures, same day! I received the lavender spa pedicure and my sister in law received the green tea pedicure! Great massage and very clean! The best part is is that they have a great little section for little kids and it definitely made my nieces feel like princesses! Overall extremely accommodating and very clean. I came here with my wedding party the day before my wedding to get manicures and pedicures for my big day. We had to be at our rehearsal at 2 so we made our appointments at 10:30 (about a month in advance) there were 8 of us. We had a terrible experience, the staff was very rude to us and they were especially rude to one of my bridesmaids for no reason but perhaps her ethnicity. No one would do her nails and she had to ask the owner if she would do them for her! We were late for the rehearsal and I had to go to another salon hours before my actual wedding to get my nails redone. It was the worse experience I could have ever imagined at a nail salon. Oh and when I told the lady that my wedding French manicure should not look red she started slapping my hands and being very aggressive towards me. I have gotten services here many times before, unfortunately after my most recent service I will not be returning. I received a gel manicure that peeled off of 7 nails with in 5 days. My nail tech also clipped my cuticle pretty bad during my service causing me to bleed. When I called to get the situation resolved they asked me to come in, which I did. I explained that I didn't want the manicure redone just removed off the 3 remaining nails. When I asked how else they could resolve the poor service I was informed there was no other way than for them to redo the manicure. They had no way to resolve the situation besides pressuring me to redo the manicure on my sensitive nails. My nails are weak and I have visited another nail tech at another nail salon and they have expressed concern at the thought of having another gel manicure put on top of my nails in the state they are in. I work in customer service and this shop has demonstrated very poor customer service. Very disappointing as I had enjoyed previous services which is why I had returned. Hoping this will help future potential customers from making the same mistake as me. read more
