This is a big deal because I'm really ticklish in the the angel wing/shoulders area, and she was able to work on me without me cringing away. I feel so much more balanced, calm and relaxed. The room itself was very comfortable: heated table, good head support, lovely ambiance with soothing music and super cute lobby too. And she offers incredible massage specials! This is a classic example of a push massage, where you have unlicensed and untrained workers giving you a very basic relaxation massage that mostly involves pushing on you while you are fully clothed. I am pretty limber so the many stretching positions didn't bother me, and I felt great afterwards. I would recommend this type of massage for athletes. The one hang up is that my table was by the door and the foot traffic was distracting. Also, It would be nice if they spread out their clients to every other bed for a little more privacy. Not anything to loose a star over. Every new business' opening day has issues. I'm sure they are open to customer feedback in order to improve their service. Otherwise I enjoyed the experience. My massage therapist did a great job and the staff was welcoming. A awesome addition to Warrensbug. I booked another appointment in two weeks.

Every time the experience is very therapeutic, followed by a sense of relaxation and serenity. Todd, the co-owner, and his assistant, Steven, went the extra mile for our body massage. Both my husband and I had some tight shoulders and I had some lower back sciatic nerve pain, and Todd maneuvered the tightness with precision. My husband said that Steven kneaded him like clay, but in a very good way. The customer service is very good and considerate. I've had the experience and, after reading other reviews, I've read that some had the same experience in which the busy owner stepped out and Steven was the only one at the front desk. It is advised to have some patience because Steven speaks Mandarin and uses a translator app on his phone. Occasionally, they are short staffed and Todd needs to step out, and he also has another location (I believe in Lawrence). I came in once with a Groupon coupon and it was a bit jarring and confusing not knowing what was going on because Steven didn't say anything to me but depended on the app. All was well explained after speaking with the owner. The place is very serene, comfortable and with good relaxing music. The rates are also reasonable for the care given.

Like most places, customers stay fully clothed with a towel placed over their body. The young man working on me did a good job of concentrating on my overly tight muscles. I also appreciated him asking for feedback and responding to my request for more or less pressure in places. I liked how quiet it was. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, so I don't know if it's different during the week. But some places I have been to have suite neighbors playing loud music, or had a restaurant with dishes banging around and their kitchen, etc. It's really hard for me to relax with that kind of noise. The place was clean and I have no hesitations and recommending it to others .

Before scheduling his first massage, I contacted Opulent to discuss his specific needs and how massage therapy could support his recovery. Since then, we have been coming in weekly, and the difference has been remarkable. The massages have helped him feel significantly better and have made the treatments he is enduring much more manageable. Everyone at Opulent is compassionate, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to their clients' well-being. There are no memberships or pressure tactics like that other chain massage place. And they have good availability in multiple therapists, unlike a one person shop. They're in a nice shopping plaza with several restaurants and other businesses in case you need stuff after your massage. They are very good at communication via email and text and phone. I think the worst thing was that I wore my hair up in a bun, and MT asked if I wanted to wear it down. I specifically said no and made it clear that I didn't want oil in my hair. Later on she literally rubbed oil (which smelled terrible) completely through my hair and then lathered it onto my face. At the end, without any warning, threw a very hot towel on my back. Had she told me it would not have been so shocking. With all the good ratings I was disappointed in the quality of massage and then walking away like a grease pit.
