Heard about this place for a while and finally decided to try it out. It is a quick-service style restaurant. Order at the counter, pay, get your number, find a table, fill your cups, grab your utensils and napkins. First off, the wings and tenders are BOMB! Which is really why you're coming here right? For the chicken. The wings are the delicious crunchy Korean-style wings. The tenders are A LOT of chicken without a lot of breading, which I looooove. The sauce options are great. We tried a few different options and enjoyed them all. The waffles fries are also crispy and delicious, as all waffle fries should be. One downside that holds me back from a full 5 star review are the side options. In addition to them being confusing and spread all over the menu, and not very clear as to exactly which ones were included with the combo, we couldn't understand why the fried rice options were an up-charge but the waffle fries weren't, even though waffle fries are more expensive a lá carte. For context, if you were to order the fried rice alone as a side it would cost you $4. The waffle fries, $5. You can get the waffle fries as a side with the combo for no extra charge but the fried rice was a $3 up charge as a side with the combo which seemed absurd considering I could just pay for an additional side of it for $4 total. Also, the kimchi side amount was quite pathetic compared to the amount of food we got for our other two sides. The fries and white rice were enough to share whereas the kimchi comes in a sauce cup for 1 person, quite odd. Another downside was we wanted only 2 sauces for the wings and 3 for the tenders but it was going to be an additional charge for an "extra" sauce with the tenders even though we didn't request the full 3 included sauce options with the wings. Why not just give us an extra sauce with the tenders since we only asked for 2 with the wings? My "downsides" are minuscule compared to how great the food and staff were. Staff was more than willing to answer our questions about the different sauce options. Overall, I will totally go back and have already told others to check them out. My review is simply an honest review of things I would have liked to have known before checking out a new-to-me spot. read more

I've been saying for as long as I can remember that I need to try chi-kin and the time has finally come: not once, but twice. The first time I came in I ordered a chicken sandwich lunch meal. Since it was my first time trying it, they suggested I try and sammie as it comes and not dipped. Honestly, pretty glad I did because the sandwich the way it comes is absolutely delicious. Stopped in here for a quick bite while in the area. I ordered to-go for my wife and I. We shared a combo meal that for about $22 included 8 wings, 4 tenders, and two sides which was more than enough food. We tried the Thai chili and sweet gozuchang sauces. They were excellent! Thai chili was just the right amount of spicy and the gozuchang was perfect for my wife who doesn't like spicy food. We had the white rice and waffle fries. You can add meat and upgrade the sides for additional but we went with the classic and they were nothing special but good accompaniments. Even to-go the wings were fresh and crunchy. Restaurant was clean and the service was friendly and quick. Only downside is that the parking can be tricky but that's really an everywhere problem in that area. read more

Serving tenders, wings, chicken sandwiches, tacos, and a selection of desserts, this Korean fried chicken spot is sure to meet your fried chicken cravings. You truly get your money's worth here as everything you order will seem larger than life, size AND taste-wise. My personal recommendation is the 6 tender combo, Gochujang sauce (but if you're a spice enthusiast, definitely opt for the spicy Gochujang, that kick will leave pleasant tears in your eyes) with their delectable kimchi fried rice on the side, although after seeing the massive tenders, one might be better off with the 3 piece. I was seeing reviews on Facebook which didn't seem fair, so I went with my family. We went about 2 in the afternoon. We ordered an order of 16 wings, fries, and bulgogi fries. The chicken was cooked in the Korean Style, twice cooked for crispiness and we got half gochujang and half soy ginger. It was very good, with medium sized wings, just the right amount of heat. The waffle fries were nice and crispy, and tasted good. The bulgogi version had small pieces of beef, with some sauce and scallions. They were a little spicy, but yummy. I have heard people complain about the amount of beef, but, as a side, I'd rather have it this way than pay a few dollars more. We enjoyed our meal. Although the menu seemed small, I still felt that I had a good variety to choose from. They were very well priced. The environment was very clean and open. This is one of my favorite places for lunch right now. Just the fried chicken alone is enough to make it worthwhile, but once you add one or more of their sauce options to your fried chicken sandwich or wings you will be hooked. We also ordered the bulgogi fries which consists of waffle fries that I think are as good or better than Chicfila's and has bulgogi meat (beef or chicken with a sweet flavor) some scallions and some of the house "bahn-mi" type sauce. I'll rate this place a 3.5 I think there are a couple things that would improve the business but overall it's a solid selection. I ordered the combo #2 to split with my family. It comes with 15 wings, 6 tenders and 3 sides of your choice. Let's go over the good first. Your food it cooked to order so it's super fresh. It's quick service so hey lol. I got to choose my wing flavors and I decided since it was my first time I ordered I tried 3 different flavors. I got Thai Chili, Spicy honey and Sweet Gochujang. The tenders I got in lemon pepper. My 3 sides I ordered waffle fries and 2 orders of white rice. I wanted the macaroni that they showed on their picture menu but the cashier said they no longer have it...bummer! The tenders were nice and plump and flavorful. Oh and did I mention crispy! Yum. I will get those again for sure. As for the wings. I cant even tell you which one I liked because they were not labeled and I have no way to differentiate what a gochujang taste like to even try the process of elimination lol. I'll say out of the 3 flavors there is one I would not get again buuut like I said idk which one that is lol if they had some stickers maybe to put on the paper to identify the flavor of the wings since the box them all in one box that would be helpful. The white rice is sticky and yummy. My only issue is they place a piece of like paper in the box and the rice was stick to it so if they don't put the paper in the box that would help next time. The wings especially the gojujang was a different taste for me and I enjoyed it. The lemon pepper was tasty but lacked the lemony punch that I get from other competitors ,and waffle fries were cooked a little to hard for my liking. I got sauce on the side so I could try more flavors. Chicken was cooked well, and the sauces all had good flavor. Not quite the chicken I used to get in Korea but a good alternative. Fried rice was slightly dry but still good. Kimchi slaw was flavorful. You have to use the tablet to place your order, and can get it to go or grab your number and find a table. Anyway after glossing over the over head menu we decided to order the combo which was 8 chicken wings, 3 tenders and 2 sides, where we chose 2 waffle fries, one plain and the other poutine. The sauce for the wings was Spicy Honey and for the tenders Thai Chili. All this for $17.95+tax. Now I'm not easily impressed and that's with anything. But holy shit!. These wings were phenomenal. You see I'm always ready to bite into a soggy wing once it's been laid in sauce. Nope, not at all not even a little bit soggy. The crispness was off the scales. Perfectly fried, flavorful and just f'ing good. The tenders were nice and juicy and again just good. The waffle fries also crispy taste awesome, no excess grease, light airy waffle fries.
