A Paris must do One thing to do when visiting Paris is to walk the streets while eating a crepe. It was our last full day in the City of Love, and we had our crepes. Mine was a ham & cheese, knowing this would not be messy while making my way through the crowds while dodging bikes and the occasional car. We picked Chez Suzette by random. Our crepe maker didn't seem particularly friendly, but with language differences I shouldn't judge. He made the three crepes we ordered and we were on our way in just a few minutes. We liked the food enough. However the server was awful. He was very gruff and unfriendly, and he never said thank you after taking our order or other people's order. After serving food at a table, the patron couldn't get his attention and instead just walked to the next table to grab the dining utensils he needed. The swing doors at the back of the restaurant, which is where we were seated, was annoyingly loud. As for the food, it's wasn't bad. However, it wasn't memorable either. read more

I mean, who doesn't love a crepe? Bad people, that's who. Anyway, not all crepes are created equally, and I have to say this one caught me off guard with how decent it was. Mostly because it's so close to the Latin Quarter, where the food is, well...merde (you look it up). speaking of which, You know how you can tell a place has great food aborad? English menus posted outside, and a busker..but I digress. Ordered the ham and cheese crepe and a buttered sugar crepe. Wow both were amazing but when you bit one and then bit the other and chewed all of it together! *chefs kiss* the men cooking our crepes were really nice. This location is amazing, the staff was friendly, and when they heard that the other location gave me a BURNT crepe, they walked over to let them know it's unacceptable and affecting their business as well. This is on a main street and is very quaint. We ate outside. There is a menu with prices on the wall outside but these appear to be carry out prices (Take Away). The menu prices are higher. They have all the standard French crepe dishes but we all ordered breakfast crepes made from Buckwheat. They are much heavier and filling than the thin dessert style crepes. Mine had 4 cheeses. We also had one stuffed with ham and cheese and I forgot the third one but all had one egg on top. Coffee is French style, small and strong. The restaurant is a little walk from where you pick up the Paris pass (not recommended by the way) if you are hungry. The waiter spoke English and did not make us feel guilty about it. He was friendly as well. We always try to speak a little French but we cannot have a conversation so this is appreciated. We enjoyed meal. Worth a visit for sure. read more

Chez Suzette is an adorable new little creperie in the St. Michel District of Paris. They have both delicious sweet crepes and more substantial savory crepes available, and some of their flavor combos are unique to the establishment. Louis the owner is attentive (he seems to be there ALL day long) and speaks some English. Most of the staff speaks English too. Not to be missed, it's super easy to get to! read more

Best crepe I've had so far in all of Paris! If you are nearby Notre Dame you have to make the short walk here and explore this neighborhood. They have a window where you can order from for take away and a sit down small cafe as well. The street is filed with cafes and the crepe from this place is just perfect, try it with banana and Nutella! From here you are a short walk to aloe of other cool and photogenic areas and the restaurants around here are very well priced compared to other parts. read more

Prices on drinks were notably high and they don't take credit cards, so make sure you have cash. Walking around the Latin Quarter there are many creperie options. I chose Chez Suzette because of it's quant French decor. Unfortunately, it was the worst crepes I had in Paris. I had their vegetable & cheese with whole wheat crepes and it was so flavorless and dry that I didn't bother finishing it. My husband had the banana and nutella that was fine, but only because nutella is nutella. The crepe itself lacked something - the texture was not a soft, thin pancake. Reasonably priced option for take away crepes within short walking distance of Notre Dame. Most crepes are 3 to 4 Euros which is substantially cheaper than what we paid on Place du Tertre near Sacre Coeur, say 40% cheaper. I honesty would have given this place higher marks but our crepe chef, while friendly, slightly over cooked the crepe itself and could have also done a better job spreading the filling evenly across the crepe. I suspect real French people would never go near this place but it certainly thrilled my kids, ages 6-9! read more

While many opt for the more traditional crepes on the menu, I highly recommend trying one of their more creative concoctions like the Guadalajara crepe. I'm always in and out of Paris, and I have tried many crêperies all over. It is one of my favorite snack while on the go or a light meal when I'm not too hungry. Out of all the hundreds of shops, cart stands and pop-ups, Chez Suzette is the most consistent and authentic crêpe that follows the tradition of Normandy where crêpes were originally from. And it is delicious... It's simply all I can say. My local Parisian friends say that crêpes are for the tourists... And I get that...I'm a tourist what can I say... But I was able to convince them to meet me here for a snack and coffee, and from that point on, it is the only place that they will take their friends from out of town to get a crêpe when they want to have the experience. And apparently it has changed the minds of a few of my friends to love crêpes again. So if you ever find yourself in the city of lights and romance, and have a hankering for something a little sweet, dive into Chez Suzette and try their chestnut spread filled crêpe. It's lightly sweet and nutty and it is just so simple and delicious. Or if you want a bit of a punch and bite, do the one with Grand Marnier. Service was good but food not and the cook made mistakes on our orders. The sarasin crepes were a little overcook and they use canned ingredients, not fresh. They play reggae music.. weird for a place that wanna be like Brittany! They have a good and inexpensive cider tho. read more
