Went here the other night for my birthday. We got there early, so were the first ones at the…read morerestaurant, and sat out back on the terrace. After being ignored for a while, the waitress asked if we wanted an aperitif. I had a beer, Greek, Mythos and my wife just water. It took about 15 minutes for that to arrive. We also ordered a platter of seafood/meze, with shrimp, prawn, calamari and some salad and the meze staples. Twenty minutes into waiting a nice loaf of bread was brought to us, garlic like but also with olives in it, spread into the sliced part. Delicious. The waiting was the worst part. I don't know how long it takes to cook what we ordered but we waited around 50 minutes for the food although we were the first ones there to order and another couple arrived about 15 later. No complaints about the food except perhaps the calamari was greasier than I had hoped, but calamari is often too greasy for me. The rest was perfect. I enjoyed the meal but not wasting all that time sitting around waiting.

Waited forever for food! And I am pretty sure they served us bread with a side of pureed fish…read more Whatever was in it made me want to vomit, still thinking about it makes me nauseous. They have a huge wine list, upwards of a few hundred to a thousand Euros per bottle. They also made it seem like a chore that I wanted to eat my fries with ketchup instead of mayo, which I know is a culture thing but it was just what I wanted that evening. I ordered steak and it had no seasoning with sporadic cooking temperatures through the entire slab of meat.

While working at SHAPE temporarily we have to go out to eat regularly. Last night we tried out this…read moreadorable place. It is a Greek restaurant in a lovely old building with brick walls and wooden beams across the ceiling. The menu emphasizes grilled meats. We ordered two cold meze appetizers. The tsatsiki was creamy and the taramasalata was also better than most I have had. Jack ordered a lovely steak which was beautifully prepared. Unfortunately some of the meat on my skewer was a little on the dry side. We had salads which were delicious with a light dressing and fries which unfortunately (especially for Belgium where "freedom fries" actually originated) were somewhat soggy. The service was very pleasant. The atmosphere very cozy. Great place!

The only thing that keeps me going back is the hospitality of the owners and staff. Pretty basic…read moreand wouldn't classify it as great, but it is okay. A very extensive wine list and table service, also with a full bar with signature drinks. Pretty quick to get in and out, but we have had a few nights where it took a while to get the check (20+ minutes after asking). Don't expect too much except grilled meats. I normally order the shrimp kabob, which is basically shrimp on a stick thrown onto a grill. I could do with more flavor in the salad. I think they use a very harsh vinegar base, and it does not go down well if you are drinking a nice wine. I recommend reservations if you are going in after 7PM or more than a party of 2.
