I tried Ricey Yogurt, I am Yogost, and this store all in one day. The winner is definitely I am Yogust by a long shot. They are all located within a kilometer of each other. The way this store makes their yogurt includes watering it down with blended ice. Therefore the flavor is rather bland. However, Chewgurt does have good tasting purple rice, just like I am Yogost. In summary, a regular sized yogurt from Ricey Yogurt and this store both cost 6.50 CAD, while I am Yogost costs 6.75 CAD. Ricey Yogurt has bad tasting yogurt and bad tasting rice. This store has bad tasting yogurt but good tasting rice. I am Yogost has good tasting yogurt and good tasting rice.

NEW Chewgurt Yummy opened in Richmond Union Square. We came here today and try their yogurt drink. We have ordered: * Dragon fruit yogurt ($8.35 inc tax): tasty yogurt. However, we think the price just way to high compared to the portion size. You can probably make this drink at home. But it's a healthier option if you're craving some sweet drinks.

We really liked our drinks! I love that there's a yogurt flavour to it personally and I guess this is a better alternative to regular bbt. Points off because I think it's really pricey for the size and they'd do better if they brought the price-point down considering they're the only ones doing yogurt based drinks like this. I'd probably choose regular bbt over this if I was on a budget Also the Richmond location was out of a lot of flavours which was also a bit disappointing. Hoping to give the crystal mall location a try soon (when I'm ready to spend another $8 on a drink)

A cozy Taiwanese family restaurant serving a nice selection of Taiwanese street food and desserts…read more We came here mainly for dessert and ordered the tofu pudding with yam balls. The tofu pudding was AMAZING - freshly made with a delicate soy milk flavor, silky smooth and melts in your mouth. The yam balls are equally impressive, nice yam flavor with just the right amount of chewiness. I could happily eat this all day!

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)

The decorations are dated and they have a couch and TV riiiiight behind the ordering counter, lol. God bless the Chinese uncle that owns and runs the place... he and the lady taking the order barely spoke English, so we stumbled with our Mandarin. I think they even spoke Taiwanese with each other?!? Instead of ordering multiple drinks, we just ordered the one mango lover's coconut pudding. Honestly, we didn't know what the heck we ordered and we ordered it to go. It took a little while to prepare, but when it came we were presented with a coconut wrapped in cellophane. We were intrigued and had to open it right then and there. We were treated to a coconut FILLED with fresh mango, mochi, and pudding... all in a fresh coconut - the coconut meat was thin, so you knew it was juicy and fresh! My oldest kid did his best to claim it all for himself as we all wanted a taste. In the end, we did the only thing logical and had to order a second. I would absolutely, hands-down, recommend this place. The family that owns the place deserves our patronage and they've earned it in their own humble way. God bless.
