not sure why this place has such a low rating. It's a great location off the five freeway. The staff is friendly but they could smile a little bit more lol. Ortega gas station has a little bit of everything. I like that they have a variety of Mexican chips. Also Mexican pinatas you don't see this on every gas station. In customer service they are all friendly. To finish up the bathroom are always clean. read more

*I cannot speak for gas or the car wash.* Yesterday I bought 1/2 gallon of milk. As with all gas stations, we do not have a receipt (why would we--everything we buy is essentially disposable). This morning I pour a small cup, take a drink and am surprised it's bad. Really bad. The date turns out to be from the week before last. I've had near expiring milk, after all, they are generally selling immediate food items. But why is there expired milk for sale? They only had a couple milks altogether. Nothing else to choose from. That's fine. It happens. I'm able to come by at night (when I'm back in town) and I'm told to come back in the morning. They have no way to help me tonight. It bites because this is a place next to the freeway, people are traveling through. So is it even worth the time and gas to come back tomorrow? For something I paid for (I came for a drink and only bought a 2 litter Pepsi and a milk) and can't use? The cost is already higher than a grocery store. Unfortunately, this is bad policy to me. I'd not come back simply for the fact it shouldn't matter what time I come back if it's open. And the fact they have no idea the milk is 9 days past the date is concerning. Otherwise, it has many options. Edited to add: I couldn't get back the next day since it's so far away, came back one more time and they couldn't help me. So, I've lost time for even the first stop, didn't have milk the next day, lost time the next two times to return/exchange it, and paid around $5 to do so. I'd have bumped the stars up if they took the time to repair the situation by exchanging my milk or refunding the cost, but turns out it was bad service. read more

Great Customer Service. When I went to get gas the pump was broken and leaked gas on me and my car. So I went in to inform them that it was broken and they gave me a free premium car wash and a free drink. They were very appreciative that I told them and sorry that it happened. That was the perfect was to handle that situation and shows they are a class act owners. read more

I came here this evening to fill up and the attendants accused us of stealing someones gas. They then proceeded to try to make us pay for another customers gas. I stayed behind to try to rectify any mistake, even though it was solely their fault, but they werent helpful and very unprofessional. Their behavior could have easily lead me to an easy lawsuit against Chevron. This was on Saturday August 26th 2023 @ 8:30pm. The attendants were two middle aged latina women who were rude, tried to cover their mistakes, steal from their customers, etc. The gentleman I spoke with, the other affected party told me this: He paid $80 for gas but realized no gas actually came out as his tank was empty still. He went in to try to fix it and they only gave him a $50 credit. Apparently, that went to our pump after we put our credit card in and said that we stole his and Chevrons gas. We only pumped $9.32 before the pump stopped and one of the ladies came running out to yell at us. I tried working it out logistically, but the employees kept trying to power trip us and ended up running into the back room for some reason. Then they kept pulling BS tactics so I left. I venmo'd the gentleman as a gesture of kindness and told him good-luck. I am going to follow up with a formal complaint with corporate. If theyre not careful, Chevron could face a big lawsuit as this is illegal extortion, and gentleman said this actually wasnt the first time something like this happened at this location read more

My previous car washes from this place were better than others except this last time. I got The Works for 14 dollars and got about a 4 dollar wash. I was in there about 2-3 minuets, I saw the car behind me put his number in and the next thing the dryer went on while the machine was still on the sides of my car. It gave me the green light so i moved. There were soap spots all over the car. I didn't have time to go in and complain, so it's my loss. I'll stick to Costco. read more

Stopped in to use the restroom. It looked and smelled clean. It was well lit. The snack selections were amazing! They had standard stuff as well as interesting new stuff to try. Nothing looked like it had been on the shelf too long. Filled the tank with no issues. Good experience here. read more

I purchased gas and a drive-through car wash. The car wash spinner ripped my back windshield wiper off. I went in to tell the attendants. A rude older woman told me that the car wash sign states that they are not liable for any damage. I had to spend $98 to repair my windshield wiper. This ended up being a costly car wash! I skateboard all the way from my brothers house to get smokes and when I get here the lady working asks for my ID so I couldn't buy cigarettes it's cold as heck outside and now I gotta get a Lyft to get back home but for some reason it's taking forever to redownload the app and I got no smokea because the lady is too proud to give me cigarettes and would rather pretend like she's doing her job ?! lol whatever lady do I really look under 18?! smh I guess you can't cure stupidity. This is a subpar service station that has sad, dirty restrooms and jacked up prices because they are right off the freeway. Women's room seems permanently out of order. They will rip you off and you still will have to go to Denny's next door to use the bathroom. Don't reward this anti customer behavior. The shell across the street is way less skeezy read more
