Came here on a weekend during the late morning and alk of the pumps were shut down. I pulledup and there was a messageon the machinethat said all pumps have been stopped. I started to try and go inside but a trash can was blocking the door. No idea what was happening, as there was no note on the door or pumps, which would have been a good thing to do. I had no way of knowing if it was temporary or permanent. The pumps did have the tap feature for cards which is nice. Not sure if this is a common occurrence for them to be closed like this, but it is off-putting. read more

This this is a joke lol as hard as it used to get to 1 foot I stopped here, walking home from work at night around 3 AM and it's the same older Hispanic lady who is more worried about detailing the inside of her jeep and she is working inside of the store so walking up it takes her 10 minutes to lock her car up another five minutes to get into the store, lock the store behind her and then get behind the register and ask me what I want. The older gentleman said I could not use a passport to buy beer because he had to scan it. I showed him where the barcode on my passport was for him to scan and informed him I work in retail and bars and know that passports scan just like IDs because they both have barcodes and he proceeded to be rude and inform me he works there not me so how would I know. I stopped here on the way to the zoo to get some somewhat healthier snacks for my family other than what the zoo offers. Staff was friendly, but the prices on the snacks was outrageous. To add the RX Bar that I bought for myself was hard as a brick once I unwrapped it. It was dated to expire in a month. I buy these often and typically the expiration date is at least a year ahead so either the product has been sitting a while or they buy overstock and resell. I couldn't even eat it. Lesson learned, just gas n go in a pinch or avoid altogether. read more

I only come here when I'm washing clothes across the street at Park Blvd Laundry. Which is the cleanest, non-crowded, and plethora of machine choices laundry. Anyhoot. Chevron gas typically has higher prices but the stadion is maintained & well lit. I like this location because although it is small, the store has convenience quick buys like aspirin, oil, fountain drinks, coffee, cigs, vegan snacks, lottery, quick service and other amenities. read more

The lady there "ms Tasha " that works on Saturday's around 1:27 pm . I went in to buy things and use the restroom . She said restroom is for gasoline customers only ( I drive an all electric ) I asked to use the restroom and she didn't want to . Really just about the worst gas station in town. The pumps are consistently broken... They seem to have worked it out so that rewards points from Vons cannot be entered. Well, spoiler alert, this is a gas station. I never gassed up too much before the pandemic and that number has certainly gone down even more since going out became a lot less frequent, but when I do, this this my station. Their prices aren't the cheapest but for me this station is the closest to my house. So why not a fancy fifth star? One thing that constantly bugs me about this gas station is that it never prints the receipt at the pump and I always have to go inside to get it. Just went to buy beer because it's almost impossible to get any after midnight, but I worked a 12 hour day. Just sat there for 30 minutes until the lady working finally opened the door. She seemed unwell. Like she was on something and then proceeded to tell me that I should have knocked harder. I used my keys, knuckles, & called the store. They may have decent prices, but owner refuses to replace the printing motor for pump #2 (so you always have to go inside and wait on line for a receipt), OR the attendants/cashiers don't bother to replace the paper on the other pumps, so again you have to go inside for a paper receipt. read more

At 4am I was just about to get on the freeway on my way to LA when I noticed the warning light for tire pressure come on. After cursing my luck I pulled up to our gas station hoping an attendant would help me, as I, shamefully, don't know how to fill my own tires! Murry was there and saved the day! He went above and beyond to check the pressure, fill up the tires, all the while explaining what he was doing and why so that I could do it myself next time. I recently moved to San Diego for a job that ended up not happening and has resulted in my entire life being flipped around. I've been homeless for the past 2 days. I do not look like a bum so as I walked by and saw they had a restroom I walked in and politely asked the cashier if I could please brush my teeth in their restroom. The tall older man with gray hair behind the counter did not even look at me or even in my direction as he recited "well, (pause) we reserve our restroom for customers only" as if it's something he has practiced in the mirror for days. Looking off to the side out the window the entire time. I may have considered buying something if he had given me any acknowledgement whatsoever. I respond "ok, so I guess that means no, thanks anyway." As I walk out the door and resist the urge to toss my 2/3rd empty soda, that I had been carrying, towards the very same window he stood gazing through. My follow up response to his lack of any response at all.. Instead I decided to just sit on the curb out front and write this review. To the cashier who has his nose stuck up in the air and likely earns little over minimum wage.. You have no idea how close you are to being in my position. Just a month ago before I moved I lived on the Westside of LA and had just finished my recent contract job making very good money, certainly several times what you make on an hourly basis I'm sure. My only fault which led me here was not having any savings and moving when an opportunity presented itself rather than when I was prepared. I was asked to start a 6 month contract job on Friday, they wanted me to start on the following Monday. On Monday the job didn't exist any longer. I just had the best experience at the Chevron on Park! I really needed air in my tires so I stopped here on my way home. I had my 3 month old baby with me so I went inside to ask for the air to be turned on. The nice gentlemen working inside offered to help me with my tires, I said no thank you (I didn't want to bother them). As I walked back to my car he followed me out and insisted that I already had my hands full with baby and he'd be happy to help me! He was so kind! But it DOES take credit cards, which I've never seen before. This gas station has a small convenient store and no car wash. I did not go into the store so I don't have anything regarding the customer service. According to Gas Buddy, it is about the average price compared to other gas stations in the area (if you pay cash or with Chevron Card). It is in a terrible spot and moving around if it's close to capacity is awful. You are pretty much stuck where you entered depending on customers even if there is a station open. Overall, it's well maintained and considering it offers very close to the San Diego gas price average for a Chevron (even though it applies only to cash or Chevron Card), it's gets an solid rating. Location could be much better and needs more stations available. read more

This was a great chevron location that offered typical convince store items, but what really stands out is convince, air station, customer service and restrooms. This chevron is located on a very small corner of a busy intersection but the layout of pumps creates fluid movement into pumps and exiting back into traffic. The air pump was excellent because it allows you set a desired psi and is very accurate. Customer service was impressive they noticed me pull from the pump station to the air station and without hesitation they turned on the machine. After filling my tires I went to wash my hands. The restroom requires a key which is opened by a worker. The restroom was very clean and no weird smells with all items properly stocked and most important hot water! read more

Still the same great quality gasoline expected from all Chevron stations, but at a lower price. Unbelievably sweet service. Walked in around 9am to use their atm and grab a drink. While using their atm, I overhead the two cashiers talk to everybody who walked in and both never sounded disingenuous about their interest in their days and helping them out at the register. I used to be the assistant manager at park chevron. I loved the store, the owners, and the good prices. As of recent, I've been fired for reporting racist behavior. The manager (Jorge) started threatening to write up employees for not completing tasks which they were never taught to do. He also consistently referred to our black customers as "effing n**gers. He even went so far as to say this to one customer's face. I reported this to the owner, who blew it off, and when I confronted the manager in question, I ended up fired by TEXT MESSAGE two days later. I know the gas is reasonably priced, I know how convienent it is. However, we as a community should not reward this behavior by patronizing this business. The owner, Tom, told be that if I couldn't "get along" he would take me off the schedule. How dare he ask me to turn a blind eye to such disrespectful bigotry. Id rather let my car stop on the side of the freeway then put gas from this gas station. All i can say is that I'm a fellow business owner, me and my family own a liquor store on park as well. I've never hated walking into a gas station like this one. I only stop there because when i know I'm not gonna have enough gas to make it back home i forced to stop there. Then i see him charge his old self inside, and the guy actually calls the cops on me!!! I don't know how my flat tire is a crime for the police to solve? Not to mention every time i go in there who ever is working there is always but hurt or something cause there attitudes are never good.
