Again, all I did was tell her I would only take the breakfast bar that was actually scanning.

Why? Because IF, you use your ATM Debit Bank Card, Arco will charge you a disingenuous "Chump Fee" which might be 45-cents, 50-cents OR MORE equating as NG, i.e., not good-period! Arco doesn't accept credit cards so, you must head to your bank's ATM machine FIRST before visiting ANY Arco Gas Station throughout California! Why? All Arco Gas Stations operate the same way~just cease asking me why, okay? Eye roll ensuing and incessant, exhale sighing prompts exerting extreme palpitations . . . Anyway, this Easter Sunday was uneventful more so than other days due to I was the second person at the gas station buying gas which was eeerily quiet-weird. Very few cars were buzzing by on the three to four lane boulevard . . . While filling up my truck, I began becoming increasingly disappointed, egregiously dismayed with the fact and realization: Regular gas prices have been escalating towards almost $4.00 per gallon-HEINOUS, I'm telling you-HEINOUS! Who conjures what price gas will be charged for the day and how much is the ARCO CEO getting paid siphoning my precious cash from my wallet is what my interrogating though processes wants to know!

The store is always clean, and somehow the bathrooms are too--which honestly feels like finding a unicorn at a gas station. They've got a ton of snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go food, so whether I need caffeine, a road trip snack, or an "I forgot to eat today" meal, they've got me covered. And I'll admit it... the burritos are actually pretty good. Way better than my expectations for gas station food. The rewards app is another reason I keep coming back. They always seem to have coupons, discounts, and Freebie Fridays are a nice little bonus. Who doesn't like free snacks? Overall, Maverik makes spending too much money on energy drinks and road trip snacks feel a little more justified. Clean store, good food, great rewards--hard to ask for much more from a gas station.

Bad management at Maverik has resulted in high prices, especially on "old" food. They constantly run out of soda (without appropriate signage). A bathroom stall has been out of order for over three days. It took me 10 to 15 minutes to get the TP out of the remaining stall dispenser, while the two employees are gabbing at the kitchen while I appeared to be the only customer at 1:15 am. Pumps are often not working and run out of receipt paper. Sadly, a strawberry blonde night manager was the last straw. After angrily telling her my situation, she became hyper defensive and out of line with absolutely no people skills whatsoever. That inspired me to write this post!!!

Just dealt with pure ridiculousness at Chevron over a 12 pack of Coke…read more The female employee got proven wrong as usual. Her manager told her I was right over the phone too. Terrible customer service. Didn't apologize. Just gave me more attitude after she was proved wrong. She overcharges me for the 12 pack. I bring it to her attention that the price I saw was not the price I was charged. She said the price I see is for members only. I told her that's not true. There was no sign near the cokes. She said yes there was sir, you just didn't look closely. I told her she was wrong and she should come look at the sign for herself. She gets to the soda area and immediately goes to a sign for Pepsi and Mountain Dew and says "see the sign is right here! You didn't look!" Rolls her eyes. I said that sign you're looking at is for Pepsi and Mountain Dew which it clearly states. I'm buying Coke! She says "oh, you're right, someone needs to change the signs." She goes back to the register, "refunds the original transaction back to my card" without even swiping my card. Then charges me the correct price. I ask her how will I get the refund if you never swiped my card? She said, it went right back to your card automatically. I know that's not right, but I'm already done and just want to leave. There're two people behind me trying to buy stuff. I'm over it. I walk out to my car and look at my receipt. It said "refund cash." So, I go back into the store to show her and get my $14.10. She rolls her eyes when I walk in. I told her that she was supposed to give me my money back in cash. It says right here on the receipt. Please refund my money because I've been charged twice. She looks at it and says she has to call the manager. I tell her, no, just give me my cash like the receipt told you to. She says no I have to call my manager. She walks from around the counter and I'm saying you don't need to call a manager, you just need to give me my money back. She closes the Employees Only door in my face. Comes out 3 minutes later and gives me my money back for the first transaction. I said "you let me walk out of here the first time and I was going to be charged twice." She just looked up at me and gave me the money. Left with a huge headache from all this avoidable needless grief! Not giving this gas station my business again.

We've come at various days & times, but haven't encountered lines. Lanes are spacious. It's still a relatively newer location, so everything is in good working order. An express market is conveniently located here as well. It's been beneficial to use our Safeway shopping points to offset gas costs.

I have been living in this part of Roseville since we moved from the South Bay in 2001 and we finally have a grocery store nearby. Up to this point our closest grocery store was Raley's on Woodcreek Oaks. I am excited over this new Safeway location (just across CVS)... it is convenient for quick grocery shopping. They just opened a month ago in March 2025 and it seems to be always busy when I pass by on Pleasant Grove... my first time shopping inside was for their $5 Friday deals. They ran out quickly of the item I wanted and waited 15 mins for a fresh batch of fried chicken. Next time I'll stop by at another less busy Safeway for these deals (I have two other locations to choose from coming home from work). There are plenty friendly workers to assist. Next to an in-house Starbucks kiosk is a seating area. The bathrooms are also located here. This Safeway has a connecting fuel station. Review #3750
