And I grilled one of the porterhouse steaks tonight and the quality of the beef was excellent. As for the rest of the store, inventory is limited. Some empty shelves, limited selection, and most items are roughly 50¢ to 1$ more than a chain store. The locals have to pay for the convenience. I found it frustrating that many items weren't clearly priced. Particularly in produce. Also, OTG has its own off street parking lot for convenience. Is this an every day shopper? No. But sale prices provide a great reason to shop.

This one looked like it could have been so much better, but instead it was sad. Empty grocery shelves just give off a depressing feeling, you know? That said, the items that were on the shelves were arranged neatly, so there's that. There was very little produce, and what was there was just the hardy stuff that lasts a long time, like potatoes and onions. The meat counter did not look like it was in commission anymore. I guess a sparse grocery store in a neighborhood is better than no grocery store, right?

I look online an hour later and my order's been cancelled with no money returned to my bank account. I call the store to talk to a manager and when she gets online I explain that it's illegal to take people's hard earned money and not deliver a product, and not return that money back to the customer immediately, and she screams at me that if I'm involving a lawyer she can't talk to me and slams the phone down. How is anyone supposed to resolve anything or get their money back when you steal from them and won't talk to them about it? I now have to call my lawyer.

On this particular visit I found everything I was looking for and asked two people for a price on some Armor Beef Stew in a large can since it had no price. Both people went to find a price for me and I had it in about a minute's time. The people are all very cordial and helpful at this store. There was a moderate line when I got to the checkout. One lane out of three open. A very sweet girl came by and waved me to the next lane. I thought I was having a conversation with her when she let me know she was deaf and mute. I would have felt sorry, but she was so sweet about it and could read my lips I felt good about our interaction. I am guessing her name is Nikki since that is the name on my receipt, but I'm not sure. She is very good at non-verbal communication, as she asked me if I wanted 2 liter bottles bagged or not, and pointed to a hand written note next to her register that showed, "Have a blessed day." She has the most beautiful smile and I look forward to meeting her again. I was wearing my uniform from work and Chris, the manager greeted me by my name in the lane next to me. We had a short interaction, but enough to know I like him. I hope Chris sees this review and gives props to his people. I saw another man working inside today and other times as well. He is good to bring up a conversation and very personable, whether stocking shelves or getting carts from the parking lot, which is where we talked tonight about Super Bowl. It now has an International grocery, including GOYA brand foods. There are packaged items, frozen foods, fresh produce, sandwiches, drinks, breads and trinkets. I walked around and saw MANY items I may come back for when needed. On this occasion, I bought a French Bread loaf from Puerto Rico that was VERY good. It was super soft on the inside and a slight crust on the outside which was perfect. The night after buying it shows half has been eaten. I also got 2 ham and cheese empanadas. They were tasty and I liked the crunch of the pastry. Lastly, I ordered a Passion Fruit drink which was delicious. I must needs sample the other 2 drinks that are available at the counter. I saw some freezer section items I want to go back and purchase another time. There are items here that I never saw at any other grocery. Definitely check Domi-Rican out. The owners were congenial and answered all questions I had.

I ordered 3 assorted sandwich platters for pickup at 2pm on October 10th. I called at 12:14pm on October 10th, spoke with the same lady, who confirmed my sandwiches would be ready by 2pm. When i arrived at 2pm, the same lady, who confirmed they would be ready, told me my sandwiches weren't available. No apology, no rushing to make them, no offer to start them, nothing. I convinced them to start the sandwiches while I spoke to a manager. As I was talking to the manager the two girls in the deli were just standing there listening to us. I politely turned around and asked if they could start my sandwiches. One girl went to get to get the bread and the other continued to stand there. Admitting that she confirmed the order and didn't make it with no explanation as to why. The manager was as shocked as i was, she went to the back and came out with 3 sandwich platters. The deli lady said they were for a door dash and they weren't the same sandwiches I ordered. Noticing that my sandwiches weren't going to be made in time, I told the manager I would take them. I'm very disappointed in the customer service I received from the deli. They were in no way busy, when I walked up they were so busy talking they didn't even acknowledge i was standing there. And then to not apologize and rush to make the sandwiches. I was stunned. I left that day with 3 platters of ham, turkey and cheese on a butter roll instead of the assorted sandwiches I ordered. No apology, no discount, not even a have a great day.
