This review is for carwash. I tend to use this place because its close to my house and honestly only go about 4 times a year. I usually get the 2nd most expensive wash and overall my car leaves pretty clean. In the past the people who wipe down tires still left things pretty dirty, but they seemed to be getting better. Well this time I came and presented my scan card for points. They said they were discontinuing it and will now only offer the monthly umlimited washes. However he said i could turn my point card in and get a free car wash it was the most expensive one. I was pretty darn happy. When I pulled ahead I was reminded they often dont have someone manning all spots so its not the most efficient. It took a sec before the person who directs you and mops your car prior to the manual wash popped in. Once i got home I also realized that my car didnt really look that clean, and there seemed to be new scratches in areas I did not have scratches before. Its weird that my car would come out less clean and slightly damanaged from their highest level car wash. I will be finding a new location to use for the future. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I have been going to this Chevron for 10+ years for gas and car wash. The carwash was always a plus. Nice people and definitely worth the money. Now they have put in automated one, no assistance. Alright. Whatever. Paid at the pump, put my code in and drove forward till the light told me to stop. Nothing!!! I mean Nothing!! I tried a few things to no avail. Tried to call the Chevron to get help cause now Im worried about messing up my car if I try to back out but it rang once and then clicks off. (Fix your fricken phone). So I drove thru. Yep my only way out was to drive thru a none working car wash I just paid $9 for. What a damn joke!!! My anxiety was on overload. Was glad I got thru. It's a gas station with a pit stop Mini Mart and video poker next to a Starbucks Aloha Kitchen and Bar and a few other shops including a liquor store. Pretty easy access and since like everywhere except a few states, you put in your credit card in zip code and pump your own gas so you never really interact with anyone who works there. What the... I will never be back to this car wash. I drove out with suds still on my car because the water pressure was so low on the rinse. Then I had to come home and wipe down my car because there were water spots everywhere. While I wiping down my car, the passenger side wheel well has a chuck of the plastic missing from it. Also during the wash, my passenger side view mirror folded in (which is fine since I have an SUV) but this supports the fact that the girls side view mirror was probably knocked off by this wash. Firstly, this review is not a reflection of the nice and friendly staff that operate the store and car wash. They deserve kudos for having to deal with all types of people, some kind and some obnoxious. Been coming to this gas station and car wash since they opened. The car wash was always convenient, clean and did a very good job by the crew. It was sort of like a new car wash with old school attention to the details. Fast and friendly for a reasonable price. Sure the price crept up over the years but there were improvements along the way like free vacuums and improved cleaning products to choose from. Welp.. New ownership tossed out this working recipe for a wanna-be WOW car wash experience with zero attendants. Fail #1. The interior of the car wash looks filthy and like it aged 25 years overnight. They stripped the flashing lights and colored detergent tubes and other pleasant to the eye marketing niceties. Why? Fail #2. The prices appear to have increased at least $1 to $3 per wash type too?! Fail #3. I anteed up for the cheap wash (I figured they have one shot at impressing me with this new car wash model). After the 3 above fails I pull into the free vacuum stalls. None are working, all are dead. That's a final Fail #4 for me. There's one thing the new ownership forgot to do... close the car wash completely. read more

The WORST business ever!! Not just worst carwash ever but worst business. They bought all the Pitstop carwashes in town & then let all the staff go. Now nobody, literally nobody works there. They have 12 vacuums, 11 of them don't work. If you have a monthly package it scans the barcode on your car & the gate opens. Now even that doesn't work. I have to pull in & back out then pull back in multiple times & honestly, half of those times it doesn't even open so I have to leave. The walls are black from the dirt & falling apart. If you have a problem there is no workers there to help you. I'm literally going to pay more, drive 3 miles further, go to a place that doesn't have a gas station, wait in line & not have 24 hour availability to go to a real carwash. Also, this place used to have cars lined up all the way out to the street when it was Pitstop. Now I have never seen more than 2 cars there. read more

Store and station are clean and the staff is nice. Free token for the air machine if you go inside. 4.5 stars for those things. 2.5 stars off for janky carwash. Rickety equipment is suspect from the onset, but turns scary at the end...the conveyor wasn't strong anough to push my car over the final edge and through the dryer out of the carwash! Thank goodness there wasn't a car behind me. Had to wait for the wash to stop running and drive out. Eco-friendly, compact. Not a fully loaded monster truck. The guy at the end was kind enough to dry my whole car throughly. That was nice of him to make it right....unfortunately the safety issue stuck. After speaking with the manager, he told me multiple times, "if my car wash did this, we wouldn't be in business," instead of making sure employees didn't have jewelry on or seeing if there was something wrong with the car wash since it just happened minutes ago. read more

Yesterday at 10:00AM I visited the Pit Stop Car Wash at 8120 S. Maryland Parkway where I purchased the highest quality wash the location offers. My car entered the wash with no damage. As I sat in the car, seconds from exiting the wash, I hear a loud banging on the right side of the vehicle where I immediately directed my attention and noticed the passenger side mirror was missing. My car exited the wash and I found the mirror hanging by a wire. The damage was presented to Ezra the Supervisor. A statement was provided and I was advised that Ezra's manager Jon MacDiarmid would contact me shortly. The day passed and I received no communication. The next day I contacted the location and ask to speak with Jon. I was informed that he would call me back in less than an hour. Close to 3 hours later I received a call. Jon informed me that my car, the 2009 Scion tc that I purchased in 2009 was "glued together" and the wash had no fault in the dismantling of the vehicle. Mr MacDiarmid confirmed that when he observed the video surveillance of the vehicle entering the mirror was not damaged as it was upon exiting the wash. I was informed that the company would not be repairing the damages that were sustained inside the wash. After submitting an online "Contact Us" form from the company's website, I received the following response from Tracy Gutowski the General Manager of Pit Stop Oil Company. "Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I know how frustrating it can be waiting on a call and do apologize for that. I have looked at the video as well as the pictures taken after damage. Ezra and Jon are correct, the mirror was glued on. Unfortunately we cannot repair something that was preexisting damage. If the mirror was mounted per factory specifications then we would repair. I have no way of knowing how long you have owned the vehicle but maybe this was done before you purchased ?? If you would like to purchase the mirror I will gladly have our maintenance manager install for you at no charge. This is only offered as a courtesy to a good customer. We cannot pay for mirror or installation at this time." As I was standing beside my damaged car, a worker ask me if I would like to buy a monthly membership! -No thank you sir! They used to have people to prewash the car and then dry it off so it wouldnt streak. The $20 wash also got your tires shined, that is all gone now. Great place to get a quick car wash. For $14 you get a wax wash, air freshener, hand dry, and tire dressing. They have other options if you don't want the extras. There are $10 and $8 washes. There is a self service vacuum area that is included with the cost of the wash. If you sign up with the vip program, a free car wash after eleven paid wash. read more

Great location just south of the 215 off the Windmill exit. This is a pretty clean store as far as mini markets go. Its easy to get in and out plus the employees are friendly and helpful. Sometimes I wish they had a better selection of snacks, but its still okay. read more

I was carrying groceries from Smiths market for the mile walk home. I made the mistake of forgetting to ask the bags to be doubled, and soon my cans off dog food were rolling on the sidewalk! I went into the store and bought a $1 bottle of water, and explained my situation that I need some bags. I offered to pay but DARLA, gave me a handful at no charge. This was not only kind, but exceptional customer service! As I was ready to walk away, a Latino employee I think from the car wash, found one of the dog food cans and brought it to me! Great Staff! Ran into grab a soda for my daughter who was running late for a soccer tournament and Thesales associate would not help me because I forgot my mask. I asked if she had one for me and she did not. She refused to check me out because I did not have a mascon. There was one other person in the store you had no other problem with us and I was in a rush. I was not refusing to wear one I just did not have one with me. If you're going to require your customers to wear one then you should provide them for those of us who are running in quickly to purchase items. Always quick. Friendly and they wipe down the car for you. I usually get the "Ultra". At $11 plus $3-5 tip they use the good stuff and get your wheels shiny and clean. I always bring our family car after a trip. Bugs all over the front, dusty all over the back. They look at it before it goes into the wash and spray/scrub it with brushes to get the bugs off before it goes through. Free vacuums work great. Right by the freeway at Windmill and 215 exit. I bought a couple of liters of soda for a potluck and she didn't say a work throughout the transaction, when she was done ringing me up, she asked me in a rude tone, "You need a receipt?" When I told her no, she said "Ok you're done then." Because I was in a rush to get to work, all I did was raise my eyebrows at her and left. I understand 7 am is a bit early for people but if you don't know how to smile or talk to people, you have no business in working for a place that deals with the public constantly. Gas is gas! But Chevron gas is great when combined with the people at the Pit Stop Car wash! I love this car wash because they are fairly priced (7,9,11) depending on what you need. But all include a free towel dry after going thru the machine. They also offer free use of the vacuums when you are done with your rub-a-dub-dub. I've never had such horrible customer service in my entire life. The clerks name was NICK and he was absolutely rude and non-personable from the second I walked in the store and said "Hello", he looked at me didn't even acknowledge my existence. I go to check out and asked for a pack of "Vuse pods" and continue to put my ID and other items on the counter. He does not say one word to me as he is shoving all of my items into a bag. I check out and go home. That's when I realized he gave me JUUL pods. So I drove back to the store and asked told him he must have heard me wrong and that I said VUSE pods. He dead looks me in the eye and says "yeah well you left and drove home so there's nothing I can do about it." Not an apology, no remorse, not even an ounce of ANY emotion. So I ask for a managers number... he writes a number down and I leave. I call this number when I get home and somebody picks up the phone and I hear heavy breathing then they hang up. I call again- SAME THING. I drove back furious at this point. When I walk in, the clerk, NICK, starts laughing when he sees me. I told him the number he gave me isn't working and he picks up his personal cell phone, proceeds to call the same number that he wrote down- the store phone rings- he picks it up and hangs up the phone. That's when I realized HE WAS THE ONE ANSWERING AND HANGING UP ON ME the first two times I called. I could not believe what was happening at this point and was absolutely fuming at how disgusting this person was being to a customer who comes into this location ALL THE TIME. I spoke with corporate and cannot wait to speak with somebody higher up to see if Terribles will actually do something about this encounter. -100000 stars if I could.
