My husband went to the pharmacy to grab allergy medicine and I got sidetracked by the candy aisle. I ended up getting a variety of different gummy candies including skittles gummies and sweet tart gummies. We also picked up a couple drinks. The staff was friendly and we were able to go through the pharmacy area and the front check out in a quick amount of time. We also found everything we were looking for, plus some.

I use prescription eyedrops for a chronic eye condition. My insurance would not let me order a refill until 11/13. Things got busy; I ordered it on 11/15. My last refill ran out on 11/16. They filled the order on 11/16 but did not send their customary notification until 11/18, and then the message header did not identify either the drug or the sender; in my phone's long list of incoming texts, it looked just like spam. So I didn't read it until 11/19, after I checked the order status on CVS's web site as preparation for calling them to ask why the shell they hadn't done anything yet. The previous time I ordered it as soon as the insurance would let me, which again was only a day or two before I ran out. CVS's computer informed me that it was very sorry, they were temporarily out of stock, but they'd get it in Real Soon Now. The prescription was not new then. They knew I was likely to reorder it, and they knew when almost to the day; couldn't they make sure they'd have it in stock when I needed it, instead of doing nothing, then scrambling to get it not-much- too-late? No... that's too much to ask. Every time I refill this prescription I seem to end up with no drug for a few days, for one reason or another. I'm profoundly unimpressed.

If you have 4-6 cars ahead of you, you can guarantee a 40-50 minute wait time sitting in line until you get served. Fast food drive thru's take less time to give you your food! So it begs the question: WTF is taking so long to get your prescription! My wife and I are over this and are thinking we wouldn't mind paying a little more for prescriptions if they take this long. The wait times inside the store are even more atrocious!

Secondly, A LOT of these ratings must be old because folks have no idea. Lol. Liza is the Manager here and has done some fantastic things with this store. She makes sure she gets her hands on things that her regulars ask for if she can. She makes sure she is competitive with the gas prices AND if anyone didn't notice the debit price for gas is the same as the cash price. Yes, there are only 4 pumps so it's a tight squeeze and a wait, but worth the .10 a gallon these days (to me any way) The people behind the counter are friendly and mostly personable if you want them to be, professional always. For the person that said they don't speak English, I've never come across anyone that doesn't speak English. I do, however, lack the English language myself when folks are RUDE. But that's just me ‍ As far as the pumps charging extra, that needs to be taken up with the financial institutions. There is nothing the gas station or convenience store can do about the charge a bank charges or holding fee a bank places on a card when pumping gas. My bank used to do a $75 hold every time I paid at the pump. It didn't matter if I put $5 or $50 in, it held $75 until the amount cleared. It's how the credit side of cards work. So, don't blame the business for it. That's not right. For the rest of ya, try giving them another shot. I think you'll find things are a bit different than you remember. I lived here about 18 years ago and just moved back 6 months ago. Times have changed. Quik Stop definitely has and Liza has 100% cleaned it up! It's clean, she ran off most of the tweaks and it's completely stocked up.

I've stopped by late at night, exhausted and dealing with symptoms from a chronic illness, just to buy ice (paying for ice is really something, isn't it?) because I'm anemic. I've even been barked at to "hurry up" because they needed to randomly lock down the store. (Don't say you're open 24/7 then) If you've ever dealt with anemia and PICA, you know the craving for ice is visceral, it's not just a habit, it's physically consuming. It takes me less than five minutes to get in and out, and that's being generous. But half the time they just lock their doors at random, so I end up wasting gas driving there only to find I can't get air for my tires, cant pay for gas with cash, and can't pay for ice (paying for ice is such a silly thing to say), because they're simply not open despite claiming to be. I won't blame this one business alone for the capitalistic dehumanizing greed that turns basic human needs like water into something you have to pay for, but it's still disgusting how normalized that behavior has become. Update your hours.

This one happens to be on my beaten path and on the right side of the street approximately half the time. It's generally well stocked and the employees have alway been pleasant. Another nice thing about this location is it doesn't seem to be a late night magnet from random people just "hanging out" in the parking lot. Sadly, a lot of convenience stores across the county suffer from this problem. So, on occasion I drop by to refuel with a Rockstar or something. Working the long hours that I do, it's a challenge to keep the energy up late at night. Need to keep alert on the roads, right? Sometimes I grab a snack that I shouldn't be grabbing - but keep that between us, OK?
