Wouldnt recommend this gas station. The older gas pump: my credit card got stuck twice in the machine and didnt recognize there was a card in the slot already. When i asked the station attendant for help, she smacked her lips at me and hesitated to help me. I had to use one if the newer gas pump. Not sure why all machines are labeled that you cant use the tap feature on the pumps. Why have the readers then? Went to buy a cold drink because it was 95 degrees outside. Coca cola fridge locked, went inside fir a pepsi, pepsi bottle barely even cold. No wonder barely any customrrs at this station. read more

I give this place a 2.3 for its location right in the center of Citrus Heights off Greenback and Sunrise Blvd. And sometimes, when there is a nice attendant who will help you with the air for your tires. However, this location is poorly managed as of 10/24/22. Who leaves the register and has gas pumps that say "Pay at pump not available pay inside" ?!?!? I saw the guy come back from walking across the street. He told me and another customer that he is still on his break and won't be back for another 15 minutes. I'm still sitting here waiting as 1 of my tires also has low air pressure and I don't feel safe to drive it. I'm just thinking what kind of customer service is this? He said he will be back by 6:45pm it's now 6:42pm let's see if he's actually coming at the time he says. read more

I've really just been wowed and surprised all at the same time by this location that I would literally drive to if it cleaned my car as good as it did. However I use loop rewards program to get my car washes and it's beneficial because not only do you get to build up points but you get a dollar off certain things like the car washes which they offer I believe four different wash cycles ranging from eight to fifteen dollars which isn't bad especially if you don't need to wash your car like every two weeks etc. though if other gas stations incorporated this idea to provide a rewards program I'm sure they'd get more active customers whether it be using the car washes, getting drinks snacks etc. I would recommend this place for getting a car wash. read more

Don't need anything else but gas. 10-15 cents less per gallon from the other shell gas station, hey, I'm going here. I don't need paper towels or wipe my windshield. Just gas. Pay, pump go. 3.74 after 0.05 less for being a gold member. Than 3.94 it saves me a dollar for 5 gallons. Go here. Plenty of pumps. Drive up a few blocks you'll reach Walmart Supercenter and Costco right in the same hub. read more

Gas, as of yesterday, when I got home at midnight, it was 569 today, it is 589 today , just a rip off, they ripped people off, raising the price of shell gasoline, at one point. It was 539, not too bad, as about a month and a half ago, I do not recommend this place, people go there for convenience, but it's just a rip off one star ratings too much..... The owners of this garage are out to scam every last dollar out of their customers and don't give a crap about doing it. I recently visited to get air for my car and the machine has a credit card reader and clearly is set up to give the impression you have to swipe for air. I swiped for air and was charged two dollars, the machine sprang to life but there as no air nozzle on the end of the hose, iso totally inoperable. I went into the gas station and told the girl sat there, she did not give a crap, told me it wasn't her responsibility and that the air did not belong to the gas station, she also told me air was free and I should not have paid. I asked her for my two dollars back she said nope, said the air had been reported. She could have at the very least been nice about it and have a sign taped on the machine saying inoperable, I'm sure this happens a lot as she was ready for me walking into the station. Anyway I have reported them to the California Department of Food and Agriculture for not having operable air. Do yourself a favor get your gas (and free air) across the street! read more

It's fine if u come for gas but the station is NEVER OPEN every time I come they are on "break" and these breaks are 30 minutes every time!

Although this gas station is ridiculously convenient (Greenback and Sunrise intersection) and the prices are decent considering it's a Shell, it is constantly left without an attendant. On three separate visits the cashier was playing the disappearing act. Pretty annoying when the pumps are set up to send the receipts to the attendant inside. Bonus on being very well lit, but given that the convenience store portion is the size of a shoebox (and locked anyways because no one is ever there) this isn't the type of service station I would choose to use again. read more

No paper towels in any dispenser. No paper receipts- you have to go in and request one. Everything is dirty. It might be an older station, but you can still keep it clean and create a good customer experience. Not cool. read more

Pulled in to pump gas and was paying cash. Gave him (assuming Owner) two $20 bills and asked to pump $30. So I was due $10 change. I saw him reach into the cash can and he pulled one $5 bill from the right section and then from another area to the side pulled another $5 bill. I grab both and take half a step out of the booth and immediately notice that the second $5 bill he gave me was a fake (it was bad) I walk back in and tell him about the fake bill. He pretends to act surprised. "Are you sure?" This guy should've went into theatre instead of being a scummy business owner. He eventually gives me a new bill. As I'm pumping gas, one of the other employees walks up and says that she told him about that fake bill. She was glad that I had noticed it because this isn't the first time he has done this. I literally will only come here for gas and cigarettes from now on, just because of her, even though it's further than the normal places I go. Please hire more employees like her. read more

This station is on the corner of Greenback and Sunrise. The prices are on par with other shell stations and it also has a car wash. The car wash does a great job for what it is, just don't expect your car to be fully dry when you exit, then again, what automatic car wash dries your car completely? It gets a 4 out of 5 star because some of the pumps require you to squeeze the handle and hold the entire time you're filling up. If you've got 15+ gallons to fill, this can be a pain. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. This gas stations only saving grace is the convenient location, otherwise it would probably be shut down or sold by now. I just took my brand new car through the car wash and not just once but twice had my car washed with no soap which probably scratched the paint. The Manager, Kumar, argued with me and sent me footage of what he called soap on the ground but no suds on my car. For his sake, I hope my paint wasn't scratched. read more

I mean...this is close to my apartment so I usually just come here for gas. Nothing special about it. The little thing for air is situated a bit weird. There are lots of blind spots so driving slow is the way to go unless you want to crash into oncoming cars from Greenback or the Denny's on the other side. read more

I bought some gas and purchased a car wash. Then after I punched in my code and entered the car wash it started spraying my car with soap and then stopped working leaving soap all over my car in 90° heat. So I pulled up to the store and told the attendant what happened and she called her boss. This guy didn't want to do anything to make it right. She asked if I could use the hose to spray off my car, if I could use the bucket to wash it off with, if I could use the water hose connected to the air station; and his response to all of these inquiries was no. So this girl out of the kindness of her heart and frustration with her boss paid out of her own pocket for three smart waters (they were the biggest they had) so I could at least do something about it. Whoever the boss she called is needs to not work for Shell anymore if this is how he treats customers. Absolutely appalling behavior from this guy. read more
