She took my order and Melanie was also a big help with answering my questions. Moises was also so nice. They know their customer service! This place was very clean inside and outside. They serve Pepsi products for their fountain sodas. They also had a Gatorade dispenser which I like! I had both flavors, lemon lime and fruit punch. I had a really nice assortment of food. I got the #2 One of Each combo meal which gave me the best variety of items. It included a sandwich, a tender, and fries. I love how they label everything clearly on the containers for my levels of spice! For the chicken sandwich I got mild spice with coleslaw, pickles, and their own chubby house made sauce. I did put a packet of pure honey on it. For my 1 tender I got the Smoked spice. I dipped this into their cheese sauce. For the fries I did an upgraded loaded fries which also came with a coleslaw, pickles, and chubby sauce on it. I used ketchup for a few of the crinkle cut fries that didn't have anything on them. For the dry rub on the fries, I did a light spice. When I ate the fries, I also added some ranch and some of their cheese sauce to make them really fully loaded! All of these three items in the combo were so good. I also side ordered another tender to check out the hot level spice. I dipped this one into the ranch to tone the spice down. I did get two other sides, the Mac n cheese and the fried mushrooms. All 3 of these items were also very good! I've been to many chicken places, but this one with their spices, sauces, and even their mac & cheese were all very unique. The chicken here was very soft and lightly moist inside, perfectly cooked. There are plenty of seats outside with some shade, but only a handful of tables inside. It's in a plaza with various other shops, so parking is very accessible. Food didn't take too long, I think we got our food after 10 minutes or so of waiting. Honestly the presentation is solid. I got The Bowl Bowl, and my friends ordered the chicken wrap, Newport Bowl, and we shared Za'atar and sweet potato fries. The bowls came with a citrus sauce, but we had to order extra garlic and chili sauce on the side for the wrap and fries. The fries with sauce were honestly sooo good. The sweet potato fries had this amazing soft texture and it melted in your mouth, the sweetness paired nicely with the sharp garlic sauce. The Za'atar fries were well seasoned and had a nice crisp. They give you a good amount for the price! I personally enjoyed The Bowl Bowl, the quinoa mixed with fresh corn, big chunks of sweet potato (I think they would have been better cut smaller), avocado, their grilled chicken, and chips. I mixed it with the sauce and additional toum and thought it was a perfect post-workout bowl. Hefty, nutritious, and good for the cost ($15). I tried a bit of the Newport Bowl and it was basically a regular salad bowl, nothing special and in my opinion - not worth the price. You're better off trying a more varied bowl or wrap. The chicken wrap was fine, there were some pickled veggies that added a good crunch. The main reason why I'm hesitant to come here again (besides the fries) is that the chicken was quite dry in all of these dishes, and it didn't really have a prominent char or flavor/smell that would indicate it's been charcoal grilled. I do want to try this place again when it's not as busy, basically to see if the chicken quality holds up to other reviews.

SHe was patient and explained all the different options to us. It appeared there was only one other person working in the back. Needless to say, orders were deep. There was a man (we assumed he was a food delivery driver), who was visibly upset at the staff because part of his order wasn't ready. He was getting loud with the sweet young woman behind the counter. The young man who was working in the kitchen came out to have an explaination of the situaiton to the angry man. It took a while for us to get our order. I'd say at least 30 minutes. Once we were called up, we just picked up and left. We didn't check our order before we took off. We got back home in Riverside, unloaded everything, and realized one meal was missing from the order. I decided to call the store to let them know. I spoke to Joey, who identified himself at the night manager. I told him how the young woman behind the counter never lost her cool and how busy the restaurant was. Joey apologized for the failure and offered to make it right. We worked together to come to an agreement where we would come back another day and they would replace the missing meal. We came back on the day we said we would. The young man behind the counter didn't seem to know what I was talking about even though Joey said he'd leave a detailed note. No matter, I had my receipt with me and presented it along with a short story of the situation. The young man placed an order in the kitchen for us. We had our replacement meal in about 10 minutes. Honestly people... be nice. It's not hard. Things happen. Just use the nice words you have in your vocabulary and let the restaurant attempt to make it right. We'll be back. Dave's is good stuff.
