Saw a concert on Thursday. Nice venue but it was a pretty popular concert and the lawn and seats were pretty full. Caused pretty long beer and food lines so you would miss a lot of the show if you wanted anything to eat or drink. Also rained and there is very limited space under a roof if it rains and I am not sure what you would do if it came a thunderstorm. Nice place in nice weather and if it is not as popular a show. I came for a concert. We were allowed to bring lawn chairs... while others had just a blanket. The line to get in was fairly long for such a small venue. I was warned when I got to the line that I would be searched, but I really only went through a metal detector. The grass was cool on this warm evening. The band sounded good for this outdoor event. Facing West brought a nice sunset. Food Trucks... actually just tents provided food. Gyro, a bag of chips and a drink was $16. The over-stuffed gyro was good, but spilled out on my pants. Get extra napkins. Overall nice place to catch casual concerts. read more

This is a beautiful park. It has many things to offer. The event staff were great. We were there to raise money for a cure for Alzheimer's. This was my second year participating in the Walk for Alzheimer's. I'd gladly do it again. There was a y food for the event. However, the volunteers gave water to the walkers. read more

Lovely outdoor venue to enjoy a concert. There are some fixed seats available. Or, bring your own chair for lawn seating. The lawn is tiered, offering good views of the stage. I wasn't the driver, but parking seemed plentiful. Nice concession stand and restrooms. This particular concert was free, and coolers were allowed. Restrictions do vary, based on the performance, so I do recommend checking the website for particulars. Know, before you go. This outdoor amphitheater is awesome. I love the way they have it set up where there is space on the opposite side of the bank for food trucks and vendors set up. Lots of out door space. Bathrooms were pretty clean and in good shape. I really like that you are allowed to bring your own chairs/blankets. I was given no issues about bringing in my own factory sealed water bottles (in fact I wished I had brought a larger one but in an awesome act they had a cooler with free water and cups available near the concessions. I cannot speak to what was available at concessions as the line was long and since I brought my own water I didn't stand in it. They sold canned beer in a separate line which was great for those who knew exactly what they were looking for to get through a bit quicker. The sound and viewability from our very back row was still quite good. My husband and I went to see Lake Street Dive and the show was great and on an absolutely beautiful Summer night. You are fairly near to some water in the area so bug spray would be recommended. read more

This is my third concert that I've been to, first one was Blackberry Smoke and JD Southern, they were good never heard of them, I had a chance to see Lynyrd Skynyrd,they cost lot, so I came here and besides I had Lady too, parking here was free, my second was during COVID time and I had to spend $75 for two people, not many people was here, not happy but that's life, this is my third concert Shooting Star, Missouri and Ozark mountain daredevil, free parking, tonight they have expanded boundaries with more food truck, also I know the ladies restroom long line and more bathrooms this time, a park really close by with swings and so forth always have parking, big crowds tonight concert, this is a cool place to be on a nice nite, across the way is the library read more

It's an outdoor amphitheatre. If you have the opportunity to visit... 1. There are tons of seats (I've never been that close to the stage). 2. Lawn seating: (Early WARNING!!!) *Bring your umbrella, wear a shade hat. *Bug protectant etc.because if you are like me. Bugs will follow you!!! Arrive as early as you can to grab a great lawn space for you and your group. I've always gone by myself and I will introduce myself to those around me (BECAUSE WE ARE ALL THERE FOR THE SAME REASON)!!! So .... don't be shy or unsure about going alone. 3. If the weather is too hot, or you don't have a reserved seat in one of the nine measly rows of seats while it's raining, you're screwed. However, if you like a steam bath, you'll love the ambiance for 3/4 of the concerts here! They need to have more concerts before late May and after early September to take advantage of the better weather, but "they're" dumb, so "they" won't. I doubt they'd consider building a dome over this boondoggle either. read more

Great spot for outdoor concerts. My SO and I were there to see a Led Zeppelin tribute band. The amphitheater grass seating is terraced and has hills so its easier to see over peeps in front of you. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and kick back on the grass. Domestic and a few craft beers sold in cans. Bring a coozy!! There was food at a nice concession stand, but I didn't check it out. Nice bathrooms. I will be back for future music events! read more

What a nice little venue. I was here for Backstoppers benefit concert and really liked the place. They have permanent seats in the front (real seats with a back) then behind that tiered lawn sections. Not sure if prices for drinks are same for all shows but prices were very reasonable. $5 for a 16 oz beer. Bathrooms have a/c which was a bonus last Saturday. As you face the stage you do look kinda westward so facing sun but it was directly behind stage. Parking was easy peasy too. read more

Seen Blue Oyster Cult over the weekend. It was nice to see a band in a smaller venue. However, before the concert began, we wanted to get drinks. Since we don't drink beer, we were told we would have to wait until the BBQ folks (who sold food and drinks at the car show earlier that day) set up. We waited patiently and went back a while later. The BBQ folks only had Ski, Cola, Diet Cola (not Pepsi and Coke) root beer and water. We hoped to also purchase a snack. No concessions other than what the BBQ place would sell.... which we had for lunch at the car show earlier that day. Turns out, they ran out of buns so they didn't serve food. Seriously? No candy, no chips, no popcorn, no nachos....no food. When the concert began (with opening band), folks began to go stand in the orchestra section.... nobody was checking ticket bracelets until well after BOC played. The staff checking bracelets consisted of an elderly man with one arm, and another older man. After these two asked folks to go back to their correct seats and left the area, folks made their way back down to the stage area. It was pretty much a joke. Not sure we will go back.... food and drink were a challenge, and minimum security to monitor seat jumpers. read more

This is a great place surrounded by awesomeness. Last time I was there during Chesterfield Taste of St. Louis Artwalk. Lots of cool art and spacious stage behind which you can find a beautiful park with fountains, bridges and calming sunsets. The sounds from the stage are crisp and clean. Lots of families and people from ages 2 to 80 seem to enjoy this entertaining environment. Oh and did I mention - sunsets....stunning and I have pictures to prove it :) read more

I'm giving them a 5 for the music quality. I'm giving them a 1 (only because I can't give a 0) on vending services. Waited 37 minutes for a cocktail...not during a break but during the show. By far the slowest service I've ever received from any venue- horrific. If you come for the music, don't plan on drinking- you'll get a much better experience. read more

Attended a Journey coverband concert over the weekend. It was insane how busy this place got. It is a great free venue with nice open air seating if you bring your own blanket and chairs. They have concessions & restrooms. Great clean facilities and the city makes sure everything is safe. Don't Stop Believin'! read more

Absolutely terrible concert experience. We are here with paid tickets to Blackberry Smoke & JJ Grey. The event staff here are treating this as one of their free concerts. Allowing people to do what ever they want. Sitting and standing in the aisles and walk ways. The event staffs excuse for allowing it. If their seat is right their I'll allow it. Really??? People sitting on the railing And concrete walls. If they want to be considered as a 'serious' venue for these national draws they need to get there crap together. The staff are on their phones, recording the concert, dancing with the attendees. Numerous people from our section have up and moved to some other spot or left after no resolution from event staff. I don't want to move. If I paid for assigned seating I expect everyone else to sit in there assigned seat. No other concert venue allows this crap. Aside from annoying, I'm sure this is all kinds of a safety hazard. read more

This was a great venue for a recent summer concert I went to with friends. Lots of open lawn space where you are allowed to bring a soft sided cooler and low lawn chairs. Note that you are not allowed to bring any drinks except sealed bottles of water purchased at a store. If you bring your own Nalgene water bottle it has to be empty and you'll need to use a water fountain there to fill it. Water fountain water was barely cold so keep that in mind. There are concession stands where you can purchase food & drinks and lawn chair rentals are available. My reason for 4 stars is that we were standing in long lines to get in in the blazing afternoon sun for way too long. The staff was ready in place waiting to let us in and we saw no reason why we couldn't be let in to find a seat and SIT DOWN. Standing for over an hour in the heat/humidity with no shade seemed unnecessary IMO, and they didn't open the gates until a half hour before the show started. Several people were feeling faint from standing in the heat this long. If they could open gates sooner or provide shade tarps or misting fans in the area where people wait in line, that would be a big improvement. Overall it's a great venue, especially if they make these improvements and I would definitely return. Once settled in, it was a great concert and a lot of fun. read more
