What an amazing experience. The whole space balances learning and reflection. I came away knowing so much more.

It is a bit of a dive vibe inside, with mismatched chairs and Blues Brothers decor. Karaoke happened on a stage with a dance floor in front (you could walk around with the mic if you don't want to sing on the stage). There were chairs up there too if you wanted to sit down to sing. The crowd was diverse in terms of age and race, but most people were in their forties. The backup music wasn't too loud (great for conversations with your group, less great trying to hear the music while you were singing). KJs were engaging too. The bartender was very nice and efficient. There wasn't any hard cider. It's more of a well drink kind of bar and drinks are reasonably priced. Women's bathroom was clean. There are large free parking lots nearby, although one lot was temporarily closed because of a huge baseball glove in the parking area.

I was happy to attend but in my opinion the singer and back up dancers came up short. The band was amazing and I could have crooned to them all night. I chose the platinum package which consisted of up close seating and snacks and 2 drinks per person. The drink selection was VERY limited. I decided on vodka and cranberry and a moscato, hubby got budlight , and we still had to come out cash for an upgraded brand . Food was being ordered from Panera or Drunken fish. Not interested and a light appetizer available in the hallway. Not interested as well. Venue was very packed . We were seated like sardines and very uncomfortable if you needed to get up for any reason. Staff was nice , and artwork was beautiful. I'll give the evening a 5/10.

It's dim lit, but lit enough to be able to see. They have basketball, darts, Bocce ball, shuffleboard and a karaoke room. I ordered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was delicious, but needed more spice (heat). I also ordered a gold blush cocktail. It was a mix of sweet and sour. Very smooth. Service was great, our server ensured our time there was a good experience. I will definitely be back!

The drinks were watery or just not strong enough (titos pineapple) to justify the price. The food was tasty but my salad had been sitting in the expo window for over 5 minutes and my pizza crust was burnt on multiple sides. The nachos were crispy and loaded so that was a highlight. This place is not handicap friendly or accessible. The handicap parking spaces are for over 5 different businesses. The curb cuts are also far apart with bumpy sidewalks and parking lot. Inside the venue, you are welcomed with loud music that you have to yell over. You cannot access the karaoke room without using a large staircase. Getting to the restroom is a challenge with unleveled floors and the accessible restroom stall is the farthest back and has super narrow hallway making it nearly impossible to do a 360! I personally only come here for events and don't come here for my own personal reasons.

We ended up at Bar Louie, more casual than the other, but we got right in. We knew fairly soon that they were short staffed in the front and in the kitchen, so we just made the most of our time together and rolled with it! The soft drinks got goofed up, but our server remedied it for us. The red sangria had a good flavor, but there was too much ice and not enough wine. The raspberry martini was refreshing, The food was good, especially the cheese curds and wing apps. The breading on the curds was delicious. Our mains were: Steak Frites (steak cooked a bit under but edible), the New Orleans chicken and shrimp pasta (spicy and tasty), the chicken club sandwich (good), fish and chips (tasty, but the fish was a bit on the greasy side ) and finally, the cheeseburger (tasty, except there wasn't supposed to be sauce and there was (but not too much to send it back). Our server did the best she could under the circumstances. The restroom was not in the best order and the dining areas needed attention, as well. The manager was bussing tables, so I think they were all doing the best that they could.

The front area for dining has an open air restaurant and an outdoor seating area as well! The only thing I would advise here for anyone considering going here is give yourself extra time to find a parking spot!

The Westport Playhouse is located in the Westport area, where there's plenty of entertainment and food to enjoy. It's a small, intimate venue that holds just the right amount of people, that it's not overcrowded. There's no food to order at the venue itself, but there's restaurants to enjoy before or after the show. However, right outside of the venue is a bar that you can order drinks and bring into the venue. To sum it all up, I'll definitely go back to the Westport Playhouse for other shows that are offered, such as comedy, musicals, and tributes. If you're looking for a not so crowded night out with your friends or family, check out the shows that they have to offer.

There are plenty of places around to enjoy dinner first or drinks after too, making it a one stop destination for your evening. My only complaint here was the drinks. My first drink was in a 12 ounce cup but when I went for the second, they said they couldn't give me more than half of cup full and yet charged me the same price.
