I was really excited to find this place, because my husband likes Blues music, and on that Friday night a Blues band called Coldwater Creek was playing. We called another couple that we do things with pretty often and they met us at the bar. It's kind of a dive bar, but in the best possible way. We loved the whole vibe of the place. In terms of food, they only have frozen pizzas, but the pizzas were good. They also have slot machines and pinball. By the time the band started, the place was getting pretty packed, so we were really glad we got there as early as we did. The band was phenomenal. The young front man was absolutely amazing on vocals and he played lead guitar like nobody I've ever seen. It was just a wonderful night all around, and we will definitely be back.

The backup music wasn't too loud (great for conversations with your group, less great trying to hear the music while you were singing). KJs were engaging too. Getting to the restroom is a challenge with unleveled floors and the accessible restroom stall is the farthest back and has super narrow hallway making it nearly impossible to do a 360! There's no food to order at the venue itself, but there's restaurants to enjoy before or after the show. However, right outside of the venue is a bar that you can order drinks and bring into the venue. To sum it all up, I'll definitely go back to the Westport Playhouse for other shows that are offered, such as comedy, musicals, and tributes.
