Even before enrolling, Emmett, the directors, and two teachers took the time to meet with us, learn about his ideas, and offer thoughtful guidance. Our son now works weekly with Tommy, and we've seen meaningful growth in both his technical skills and artistic voice. The class encourages independence, experimentation, and reflection, while Tommy provides insightful feedback and helps him stay organized with the demands of the AP portfolio. As the AP submission deadline approached, Tommy was especially supportive--offering ideas for themes, guiding him through the written components, and even sharing his own personal watercolor paints. The work our son is creating is something he's genuinely proud of, and he plans to continue even after the portfolio is submitted. As a parent, I also appreciate how flexible and supportive Emmett has been with scheduling. We've known Drawn2Art since our son was younger, and it's wonderful to see that same level of care carried into a more advanced, college‑level art experience. We highly recommend Drawn2Art for any student seeking serious artistic growth in a nurturing, supportive environment.

They are patient with fundamentals but never kill the joy of creating. They know when to push for cleaner work, when to let a student experiment, and how to give critique that makes kids want to improve. Over the years they tailored projects to my daughter's interests, introduced new techniques at just the right time, and celebrated progress in a way that built real confidence. The studio feels like a second home to my daughter! After 7 years, my daughter doesn't just do art -- she thinks like an artist. We're so grateful. She loves it enough that she now helps out in the studio sometimes, which says it all. Thank you to Drawn2Art and the great teachers for making every class so fun and enjoyable.

The property is a treasure in and of itself. An oasis in the middle of a bustling metropolitan area and steps from 400 plus acres of groomed horse trails - no bikes! It is a fabulous place.

OLF was the right home for me and my horse Blu. He loved his big open stall and paddock and his turn out in lush pastures. The Farm has a really nice riding track, outdoor arena and round pen and is literally right across the street from Bridle trails state park--so easy to attend shows or clinics! While there is no covered arena for rainy winter days, I can say with all honesty that I never missed a day of planned riding due to rain. The park has tall trees which protect from the rain but still are wide open and bright. Dana and her crew take amazing care of all the horses. They have a huge herd that has 30+ acres to meander in and are fed on a track to make sure everyone has a place to eat and not be bothered. Having said that, horses will be horses and do hurt themselves from time to time. Dana keeps sufficient stall/paddocks available to use if a horse needs to come out of the herd for any reason. A young horse had torn the skin back on her knee requiring stitches. She broke her stitches open and Dana made extraordinary efforts to help with the care and treatment of the horse including installing a tether system in a stall. In the 3 barns I have been at, I have never seen an owner so personally involved and conscientious of a horses' well being. For the non-herd horses, turn out is all day for long hours not just a couple hours. Any reasonable request was met and accommodated. This is not a "show" barn although there are show horses there. Boarders are knowledgeable and friendly and happy to join on a trail ride. There are a number of quality trainers available and with 50+ horses on the farm, all the vets and farriers go there. Dana even built a new covered, flat area for vets and/or farriers to work out of the elements. No this is not the fanciest place but it was honest, warm, caring and welcoming and not only felt like, but was Home for Blu and I. While we are loving and adjusting to our home in the sun, we will forever miss and be fond of our friends and time at Overlake. 100% recommend Overlake as a great place to board.

We had to change the date and venue multiple times for reasons out of our control (venue issues and then COVID) and Audrey was accommodating and so helpful. I would highly recommend Mad Science for your next party!

One issue I had was that I was using a promotion & then had another promotion for a finale (cotton candy). I was sent a receipt showing both with my total owed at the bottom. After the party ended & we went to pay the balance the 1st promotion had been added back to my balance! There was a note saying (only one promotion allowed) which I understand, but I do think that's terrible customer service to not notify me prior to adding the amount back onto my total due. When I mentioned both promotions in the beginning, nothing was said at that time & even when I received my reminder email days before the party, they were both taken off. Like I said I can understand the reason, just be up front & honest about it for the customer. Onto the party...I feel like the birthday video on their website is borderline false advertising. At our party almost everything in the video did NOT happen. Kids were shown a tesla coil, flash paper, & different light through paper glasses. That's it. I understand that it can't be identical to the video, but my husband & I were both waiting for it to get more exciting & it never did. In fact, it ended after only 35-40 minutes! We were promised 45-50 minutes! In a tiny quiet room these things are noticeable. Also at the time of booking when I asked about making silly putty, Audrey told me they only make slime at parties now. Their website still lists 3 different types of experiments as options for taking home. So personally, I feel that this company has a lot of kinks to work out. Only reason for my star rating is because my daughter had fun. I've had & been to a lot of kids parties. All in all I think this one was $160 more than it should have been for what we received. I appreciate what they are trying to do with science, but they need improvement all around.
