The property is a treasure in and of itself. An oasis in the middle of a bustling metropolitan area and steps from 400 plus acres of groomed horse trails - no bikes! It is a fabulous place.

OLF was the right home for me and my horse Blu. He loved his big open stall and paddock and his turn out in lush pastures. The Farm has a really nice riding track, outdoor arena and round pen and is literally right across the street from Bridle trails state park--so easy to attend shows or clinics! While there is no covered arena for rainy winter days, I can say with all honesty that I never missed a day of planned riding due to rain. The park has tall trees which protect from the rain but still are wide open and bright. Dana and her crew take amazing care of all the horses. They have a huge herd that has 30+ acres to meander in and are fed on a track to make sure everyone has a place to eat and not be bothered. Having said that, horses will be horses and do hurt themselves from time to time. Dana keeps sufficient stall/paddocks available to use if a horse needs to come out of the herd for any reason. A young horse had torn the skin back on her knee requiring stitches. She broke her stitches open and Dana made extraordinary efforts to help with the care and treatment of the horse including installing a tether system in a stall. In the 3 barns I have been at, I have never seen an owner so personally involved and conscientious of a horses' well being. For the non-herd horses, turn out is all day for long hours not just a couple hours. Any reasonable request was met and accommodated. This is not a "show" barn although there are show horses there. Boarders are knowledgeable and friendly and happy to join on a trail ride. There are a number of quality trainers available and with 50+ horses on the farm, all the vets and farriers go there. Dana even built a new covered, flat area for vets and/or farriers to work out of the elements. No this is not the fanciest place but it was honest, warm, caring and welcoming and not only felt like, but was Home for Blu and I. While we are loving and adjusting to our home in the sun, we will forever miss and be fond of our friends and time at Overlake. 100% recommend Overlake as a great place to board.

My children have been in the Preschool, Before & After school Care program, Summer Camps, & Swim lessons and they just can't get enough. Between all the events for the whole family, and the ones made just for us adults, there is always something for us to do there. Shout out to their Fitness Coordinator, Marianne. Her knowledge and patience through our personal training journey has been nothing but superb. Through multiple injuries, and a busy life, she helps me navigate what fits my needs best at every appointment. Thank you Samena for providing a safe 3rd place for our community!

After using the hot tub, my…read moredaughter developed a rash that was later diagnosed by her doctor as hot tub folliculitis ("hot tub rash"). What initially seemed minor quickly escalated into a much more serious, full-body condition requiring an ER visit and follow-up care with a dermatologist. This has been an incredibly stressful and painful experience for our family, all stemming from what should have been a safe and well-maintained facility. I did contact management to report what happened. While they stated that their cleaning and maintenance procedures are within guidelines, that response was frustrating given the outcome and the severity of my daughter's condition. Proper sanitation of hot tubs is critical, and based on our experience, I would urge others to be cautious. Unfortunately, I can't recommend using the hot tub facilities here.

If you're a mom or a dad you'll understand what I'm saying later on. We were invited to a themed birthday party and that's how I found "Popcorn PP&C" Today I had the pleasure to met the owners of this wonderful "little world". Both, besides of being entrepreneurs, are MOMS, so they decided to launch this space for little ones but also for parents. If you're looking for a place to host a party with guided activities (including cooking, baking and/or decorating cupcakes; crafts and hunt scavenging) this is the spot. I've been to other places with bouncy areas, or gyms but it's always chaotic and sometimes guests disconnect from the party. I'd say here your guests will be entertained like you were at home. They also have cooking classes, camps, etc. Take a look to their website. It is one of its kind.

They do day camps too. We'll definitely be signing up.

Their instructors are very knowledgeable about different dance genres and their history. The facilities are clean and well-organized, and both locations have designated parking spots. It would be even better if the windows were open or if there were fans to help circulate the air in addition to the AC. The waiting room is always clean and the staff periodically cleans the floors and bathrooms. They really do a good job at keeping things clean and orderly here for the students and parents. They do screen out the windows to the practice rooms, so it's difficult to see inside so the students have some privacy when learning their choreography, which I know my son finds comforting. He's more on the shy side and he gets self-conscious when we watch him practicing or learning the choreography. I feel like here, they bring out the confidence in him. Even though he's a little ashamed to show us his dance routine sometimes, he really enjoys dancing and never wants to miss a class. We even had to adjust his Taekwondo schedule so he can make it to dance class. I definitely recommend Eastside dance for kids and adults who want to learn to dance. If I have time, maybe I'll give it a go. Update: Our friend's son wanted to try hip-hop and he tried out the kid's class. He really enjoyed it! He said he definitely wants to sign up for the class and he's joining the Eastside Dance Family! YAY!

I've attended the Club Teen Center for years, and there used to really be a community there of supportive and loving staff and people. There were actually alumnis who would return with college degrees or jobs or kids. But ever since the new CEO, Tim Motts, entered, he cut our funding, said he wanted to "stick [his] shoe up [a youth's] ass" for misbehaving, ignored blatant safety violations that have been properly reported (such as when Nicole aggressively grabbed a club youth), and worst of all, fired our staff who have supported youth for decades simply for disagreeing with him. It's absolutely unbelievable how badly he's hit our club, and I can't imagine how other clubs have also been impacted, in less than a year. I was really planning on coming back when I'm in college or after I get a job, now, I realize my last time will be in high school. Tim Motts does not have the youth in mind in his decisions and policies, he simply wants to feed his ego and reputation to impress the Boys and Girls Club of America and his other selfish goals. You can't have a selfish person be in charge of a child-care program, or stuff like this will happen, and your childhood places will turn bland and empty. We've submitted a letter to the board about what's happening, it'll help bring some insight into the whole situation: bit.ly/groundzeroresignation

The biggest annoyance and disappointment about this place, is they arbitrarily raise prices…read moredepending on how many signed up already. I get the supply and demand business model but it just goes to show this place is more about making money than it is about fostering young minds. They don't communicate anywhere on their website when prices will go up or when the sale ends. If more people sign up for that class (which as customer you do not have optics to), then they will all of a sudden increase the price. Other camp providers clearly state on their website when prices will go up. Other camps offer early bird registration so as customers if we missed that is too bad but at least customers had the chance to plan accordingly and is not a sudden shock. My daughter (13 years old) went to summer camp at this place for a couple of summer when she was a younger and it was one of her least favorite camp. I thought I give them another chance with my 5 year son but when I try to register for the week I want this summer, they suddenly changed the price. When I inquire why, they simply said because more spot filled up. I won't be going back her for any future classes/camps. I do not agree with their business practices. And honestly there are so many other and better camp providers around the area, I see no reason to even consider this one going forward and I would warn other parents about this business. Responding to business comments: Of course the business doesn't like my review or perspective. Unfortunately if what they say in their response to my review was true at the time of my email inquiry they should had mentioned the fine prints on their website at that time. Again, suddenly raising prices when certain level of class attendance reach and not showing the numbers of spots taken on the website is not transparent business practice. Also, "sale" is not the same as early bird prices. Their email about early special came out to family on March 5th and by Tuesday when I try to register, the price already went up. Based on their response of not admitting to being more transparent really does not build trust in customer. I truly hope they make efforts to improve customer service and business practices. They definitely lost my family as a customer and potential loss of other customers.

We went as a small group of kids to try out a class on a Sat afternoon. Kids were exhausted after! They loved the fact that they got to learn from Tim Schnee who has competed on American Ninja Warrior 5 times. My son was really wanting to do the ramp like his friend and Tim was right there giving him pointers and cheering him on. The next run my son nailed it and was super proud. I love the enthusiasm the staff had for the activities. In the past, places that had activities even like this seemed to be run by high school kids who weren't really even interacting with kids. This was a legit professionally run ninja place. They set up a course that was challenging yet had all levels incorporated. There were short cuts built in to it. At the end they even had a green button/buzzer the kids could use to signal they completed the course. There's a bathroom and water fountain right there next to the course. No need to go outside at all into the 24 hour fitness area for anything. Lots of bench seating available for parents. If we weren't so stuck with sports on the weeknights and weekends already we'd sign up for the 6 week class. For now, I think it will be our new bday party spot or coming back for a drop in time. Thanks Tim for getting the kids pumped up today and making em all feel like real ninja warriors! Will def be back.
