Food and service were great. Grandkids loved the train going around near the ceiling.

Breakfast is GREAT and the speedy service is much appreciated; your typical hometown diner that is anything but typical!

Wonderful service and food. Went in on Sunday as a shot in the dark of just picking some random spot Togo and was very pleasantly pleased.

While we were a little disappointed in the lack of fall color, we found a little gem of a diner off the beaten path.

The place has that classic small-town dive bar feel, the kind of spot where you walk in expecting a casual bite and end up being pleasantly surprised by how good the food actually is. It's relaxed, welcoming, and feels like a place locals probably keep to themselves. We started with something called Hillbilly Calamari, and despite the name, there's no squid involved. Instead, it's sliced banana peppers lightly breaded and fried, served with ranch. They were crispy, tangy, and had just the right little kick. A really fun and unique starter. Served with ranch dressing 9/10 But the wings absolutely stole the show. They're slow smoked first and then flash fried, which gives them a great smoky flavor while keeping the outside crispy and the inside juicy and tender. I tried two flavors -- Cody's mix which was Bourbon BBQ mixed with spicy garlic which had a great smoky flavor a sweet and savory richness with a hint of kick from the bourbon and I ordered the Spicy Garlic, which packed a bold garlicky heat that really popped. Both wings were excellent. 20/10 And of course, you can't go wrong with the fresh-cut fries on the side. Fries were good, but could have been a little crispier for my preference. 7/10 One of the coolest things about the place is the grill right behind the bar, where you can watch them as they're cooking your burger while you watch. It adds to that laid-back, old-school bar atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel authentic. Katy was are server and she was super friendly and on top of refills and kept checking on us. This is definitely a place that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. If you're anywhere near Ashville, this is definitely worth a stop. Great wings, fun appetizers, and a relaxed neighborhood vibe make it a place I'd happily come back to for another bite!! Have a great day from Brian From Brian's Big Bite

It's clean and in good repair. The new owners have started activities and a DJ. I came for pizza as I hadn't found a good pizza in this little town in years. Crust is a big part of pizza for me. This is a thin, crispy cracker like crust and I liked it, even if a bit overdone. It's cut into small rectangular pieces. Even with sausage and pepperoni it was a bit mild/bland. However, it's still the best I've found within 15 miles.... On the street parking sucks. Signs from the next door business threaten towing from their lot on the east side of the building. Employees said to ignore it after 5 PM. We met most of the staff working as the Saturday night rush hadn't started yet. They were each very personable, helpful, and professional. We sat at a regular table at the back of the building. They have mostly bar and bar height tables. They also have possible seating outside on a covered porch. If you're expecting more than an old time bar for locals enjoying themselves, you'll be disappointed. But, it does what it does about as well as it can. Probably not a family vibe for many.

Located in a narrow old building there's a feeling that the walls, flooring, and overall structure have shifted unevenly over its many years. It's the kind of bar where you'd imagine a record scratching and music stopping when an outsider walks in because the folks in there truly know one another. So if you didn't come or are not there to meet up with any of the regulars, you may feel out of place. I grew up around the area, but always have felt awkward on the handful of occasions I've stopped by. However, there isn't anything anyone does to make you feel unwelcome. Generally speaking, the folks in there are pleasant - just having a good old time or drinking themselves to death. The bartenders are very nice and drinks are cheap. It is cash only, but there's an ATM. They have somehow squeezed two pool tables and a dart board into the small bar area in the front. In the back there's more seating, a dance floor, and even a DJ booth.

It was around 4:30 and wasn't busy yet. I sat at the bar in front of the giant screen showing a golf tourney (don't mind at all). Derek was one amazing bartender. I had the Clockwork Orange cocktail that had coconut on the rim, with the Burrata starter. Perfection. I asked Derek about the Farmer's Salad and the Green Goddess Salad. One is more fruity and the other is green with peas. Both sounded delicious. I chose the Farmer's with added salmon. I'll get the Goddess next time. I added a glass of the House Red, which is a light Cab. I loved my meal and my visit. It's very pretty and the service was excellent. Can't wait to return. I just read it was voted Best New Restaurant in 614's Best of 2026.
