I have been to this place many years ago. Not much has change. Staff was friendly enough. This a typical restaurant and nothing spectacular. Prices reflect the new norm. The food was good not great. I had the the bacon and egg. Ordered my eggs sunny side up. One came broken open and over cooked. You had your choice of 3 different kinds of potatoes. Corned beef and hash was one order and was just ok. Very dry. Vegan mushroom omelet was good. They commented they had better. For some reason it was extremely busy. Visited this place with a friend while in town for the weekend. I had the eggs Benedict Florentine with hash browns and my friend had the Reuben sandwich with fries. Both were great. I would return to try something else and would definitely recommend trying it out if you haven't. Good menu selection also. The new outside patio is worth waiting for on a sunny day also with umbrellas to keep you cool. Lots of tables inside for cooler weather. The bathrooms are single stall but clean. Came here for breakfast. The food came out very fast, it was steaming hot and delicious. Service was great and it was busy, too.

The food and portions were very suitable for a hungry family. The service was a little slow and you have to ask for coffee refills but aside from that the staff were super and very pleasant. This is a neat little diner to pop into on your way in or out of town. Ampule parking, no wait, casual country ambiance and friendly service. It has that country feel, they play the oldies music and it's a very casual Setting with old diner feel. I ordered the Benedict Florentine and what's nice is the bed side sauce is homemade. The service was very quick and the portions are huge and the price is very fairly for what you get. The coffee is strong and fresh and no complaints on my end. Handy location right on the highway, perfect for food on your way in or out of Kelowna. We arrived Saturday morning at 10:45, and assuming it would be jammed like most breakfast places we had no issues gabbing a table on the patio. Cherry Pit is actually quite a large diner with a large patio. Lots of umbrellas and a lot of Canadian flags and a wag!!! Fantastic sized menu with lots of options and an all around great breakfast joint. I had the special which was $12.95 for a chicken breast sandwich with guacamole, cream cheese, lettuce and tomato. This wonderful Sandwich served on flaxseed bread was accompanied by your choice of salad, soup, or fries. Overall, I had a great experience and was fed well with fresh and tasty food! read more

It's absolutely what you'd expect and every bit as charming for it. A mom and pop diner that loves their regulars and loves to serve. When you want to relax and not get gussied up and just have a fantastic wholesome experience. This is it. Pies are phenomenal. I'm so happy they know how to make a proper lemon meringue. They definitely have me hooked for that one. Very reasonably priced and nice gem (takes me back to road trips through the kootenays growing up with my dad.. searching for that perfect pie cafe). My hubby and I were staying at a hotel across the road, and ended up having breakfast at the Cherry Pit three mornings in a row. The food is excellent! Home cooked, not pre-made, and definitely made with love! Their menu is well priced and the portions are huge, and the coffee is hot! The servers are all very sweet and friendly. I recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious brunch, huge portions, friendly service, and fair prices. This place is right across the street from the Holiday Inn. It is a true diner with great food. My daughter ordered a fruit cup and pancake. We thought a small store bought cup would arrive, but it was a big bowl of fresh fruit! My husband had a Benny with lox and he said it was delicious. I had a chicken little breakfast with bacon. The bacon was thick and wonderful. The pantries were delicious. It was crowded but we got a seat. Great experience. read more

We had breakfast here Sunday in August. They seem to be overwhelmed as they closed the restaurant around 1130'am. I wouldn't go back. The food came cold(and they charge you extra for certain types of breakfast potatoes) but manage to ensure they come cold and the service was pretty marginal. Too bad.
