It's a place I can keep going back to over and over and over....and over. The bartender Carli was amazing and has a heavy pour. She kept me engaged the whole time even though she had a packed bar. She should be a model with her pretty smile. She controlled the whole bar with free pool tables, no barback and no security. I had to try one of their signature drinks Dani's panties and it was electric. This dive bar is a must try whenever you're in Orange Ca. I'll be back soon!

In my quest to know all the hole-y-dives in my hood, went to this place out of pure curiousity... let's say as a social experiment. People watching perhaps? From outside the place looks pretty rundown, but as a plus it has its own parking lot. Cherry Pit is a tiny bar, totally divey with friendly regulars and kinda smelly very particular "aroma" The bartender (forgot his name) was quite attentive, the setting is pretty standard for a bad http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cherry-pit-orange?select=hQ9qdyBQXRNXv3Eh13RpCA#cGocdDLvLHW_b5CV9g4cug What can I say?? Cherry Pit a far cry of the bar of my dreams but is convenient for me, it's crowd is friendly unlike other dives, it has cheap cold beer but not much of a selection, so forget about fancy craft beer. It has free pool tables, bonus! I may visit again since it's so convenient for me, but it's not like I'm dying to go back; but in case I want to learn how to play pool or beer pong this is the place =)

Dive Bar. Nothing special but playing ping pong was fun. Could use an update on interior.

Bartenders were overbearing. They looked good weren't happy with many customers. They were pretty fucking hit all in all.

I made reservations in advance, which ensured that we were seated indoors. The decor is a mash up of tiki and pirate and the restaurant totally feels like it could be part of the Pirates of the Caribbean. I am not a fan of overly sweet drinks, so our server recommended the Navy Grog, which was perfect. It was my husband's birthday so he got a complimentary shot along with his Mai Tai. They ask you about food allergies when you check in, so the servers already know what to look out for when you order. My daughter has a shellfish allergy, which she didn't offer up at check in, but our server diligently checked to see what type of shellfish was used in the dish she wanted. I ordered a couple of appetizers - Hawaiian garlic shrimp and the Korean braised pork tacos. The shrimp were delicious and came with bread to mop up that delectable sauce. I wasn't expecting much from the Korean braised pork tacos, but those wound up to be my favorite (though the pancake was a little greasy). The pan-seared scallops were nicely done. The weakest dish was the crispy pork ribs - a little on the dry side and could have used a bit more sauce. It was a fun night out. Definitely sit inside if you can. It may be dark but I feel like the outside seating loses out on the tiki experience. Validated 2-hour parking in the public garage. You have to sign up for an account on your phone and then scan the QR code for validation but it's pretty seamless.

The space is hidden and intimate, and once you're inside, it really does feel exclusive in the best way. It adds to the whole experience and makes it feel like a true escape. Not sure if reservations are required, but this speakeasy is pretty tiny so I can't imagine it can accommodate walk ins. We had a reservation for 8pm on a Friday night. The door is very well hidden, I thought it'd be in a basement around the corner or something. The space is really small, so big groups are not advised. I had the niña fresa, a strawberries and creme type drink. Delicious! If you like sweet drinks, otherwise do not get it. I had the Saturn afterwards. Still a little sweet, but mostly sour. The server came by to say that we only had 25 min left, so we hurriedly ordered a last drink. But when he delivered it, it magically became 5 min! I chugged my drink and was ushered out the door. Overall it was pretty nice but I didn't enjoy having to rush at the very end.

We reserved our brunch for 11:30 am so the "after 11 am" lunch menu is available, too, with the weekend brunch menu. The restaurant's atmosphere is incredible. The birthday girl really enjoyed her Ube waffle (with a side of bacon) and the mimosa flight. Our guests had chicken and waffle, the sandwiches, flatbreads, and salads - all fantastic. My daughter was given a bowl of ice cream as a birthday treat. We brought our own birthday cake, and we were i formed that there is a $20 outside cake fee. This fee was not mentioned when I inquired about bringing a cake the week before. It's fine as it came out cheaper than ordering individual desserts. Looking forward to trying the restaurant in Whittier, too, since it's much closer to home.

While my kids ordered off the menu, my husband and I enjoyed the Mat Hatter Tea experience. My kids got the short rib pasta, the biscuits & gravy, and Italian Baked eggs, they enjoyed all of it! And of course I had to steal some of my son's baked eggs since I loved them so much from my last visit. The Mad Hatter's tea is not a traditional tea, but it was fun and different. It was reasonably priced and came with a glass of sparkling wine that you can enhance with a blue liquid (I believe it's a butterfly tea syrup) to change the color into a beautiful purple hue. The tea served is Tea Forte tea bags, rather than loose leaf teas. They do have the typical tea sandwiches, but there are also additional savory items like a cheese pinwheel and a cheese skewer. In addition to the scone and biscuit, they also had danishes and fruit. Wish they had cream for the scones, but they had jam and butter. Loved seeing all the groups dressed up for their tea parties in their fancy hats and having a great time.

The food and drinks have consistently been great, and we love that they've continued to add new drinks and food options over the years with limited edition mugs to match. We ended up sitting outside this visit, which wasn't exactly the plan. We wanted to kick back, relax, and kill some time, but we weren't sure how long the indoor wait was going to be, so we just posted up on the patio and honestly? No complaints. The drinks were doing the absolute most. Krakatoa Punch -- 9/10. Great flavor, really nice balance of rum, not too heavy, not too sweet. Exactly what you want from a tiki drink. The Zombie is a personal favorite and never disappoints. Strong rum, that signature cinnamon flavor, a nice kick and just enough spice to keep things interesting. Also a 9/10 -- it earns it every time. We also tried one of their rotating specialty cocktails -- a Safari something -- which leaned a little sweeter than the other two but was still very solid. A respectable 8/10 for something we'd never had before. Pricing runs $16-$20 a drink, which is reasonable for the size and quality -- especially at Disneyland. The souvenir cups are sold separately at $30, so you're looking at roughly $50 total if you want your drink served in one. Cute concept, but we passed. By the end of the afternoon, the details got a little fuzzy -- but honestly, that's how you know it was a good day.

When making reservations a $25 deposit is required per person but will be applied to your bill day of visit. The hostess was very kind upon check in and took us to the back where the 46 door is. She provided us a code and explained the time limit along with house rules. We were then told to knock on the door and proceed with the experience. Kudos to the owner as this is the only speakeasy in the OC that has a true speakeasy feel entrance. They had a gentleman open the peephole and ask for the entry code. Once we said the code we entered a really cool mine shaft area. The attention to detail was on point and I was impressed! We were then taken upstairs to a private bar where there are four tables of four so a max of 16. This makes sense as to why reservations are hard to come by. The only ding about seating is you are sat with strangers it is not a private table. Luckily we had a fun older couple at our table so it made the conversation more lively. Otherwise don't go here with an expectation of an intimate/ private date night. They also offer a limited food menu but looked very promising. However, we were here for a night cap so just dabbled in drinks. The bartender had a seasonal menu of 4 cocktails he created. He explained the drinks and then had us try each one with a straw. We then placed our order based on what we liked. He did say if we were not a fan he could create us our own personal cocktail as well. The old fashion he created was phenomenal! Overall, a cool little spot in the OC. Do wish they were open later as they do close at 11pm on Friday and Saturday.
