I was a patient of Dr Hong when he had a practice in Goodyear Arizona. I was genuinely heartbroken when I learned he was moving to Colorado. I have had extensive dental work done throughout my life, many fillings, crowns, orthodontic work. I've been seen by well over 15 dentists in this time and I have never had the care and attention to detail from another dentist like I had when I was seen by Dr Hong. He genuinely cares about you as a person and goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable while in his care. If he was within a 5 hour drive from me I'd do the drive just to see him. We were quoted $99 for a cleaning and exam for our son who lives overseas and does not have US dental insurance. They charged him $400 and refused to honor the price they had quoted him. In the past my spouse has been told by this "practice" he needed expensive procedures. Fortunately he got a second opinion and was told the procedures were not necessary. Be very cautious when you go there they offer a $59 cleaning an x-ray. I did that they told me I needed additional work that my other dentist didn't say I needed it. I normally go to a different dentist. They're great Terry Egert. He's a great dentist. I came into Cherry Creek Dentistry really demoralized. After getting a new crown, I kept calling my **previous** dentist who put it in. The tooth really bothered me. The attitude of his office seemed to be, "Well, maybe the problem will go away." But for three months, the infection was growing until I was in terrible pain and I needed a root canal. The wisdom tooth next to that tooth needed to be pulled because the infection spread. The pain stopped, but the bite was off in my entire mouth. The doctors at Cherry Creek Dentistry look at the entire situation. "People have been kicking all the problems down the road." Cherry Creek Dentistry did far more than fix all the problems. This office helped me when I had a cracked tooth and needed a crown installed. They did a phenomenal job first with assessing the needs and then with doing the work. They made sure that I understood the course of treatment they recommended, and put me at ease with what needed to be done. I really appreciated the attention to detail, even on the color of my new tooth. The whole team worked together to make sure that the process went smoothly. I had a tooth pulled by John and Olinga Hargreaves, and they did a good job. They came highly recommended, they're personable, and the office is beautiful. The one mistake I made was that I didn't make sure that 1) insurance would cover what they did and 2) I didn't take the time to painstakingly go over with them what they were doing and what charges would ensue before I got the treatment. As a result, I ended up with a $2,000 out-of-pocket bill even though I have dental insurance (which I was not informed did not cover them or their services, despite the fact that it's a delta dental plan). They don't accept payment plans, either, and charge a high interest rate on any balance owed. If you go to them, don't make the same mistake. Go over any and all charges you will incur in detail and make sure they're on your insurance plan - BEFORE having any work done. read more

Buyer beware with this practice. On June 25, 2019 I paid this practice over $7500 after an appointment to make impressions for replacement 'upper and lower dentures'. By September 13, 2019 I'd not received them and asked for a credit/refund to my credit card. Along the way Dr. John would suggest that he could do this or that with regard to implants. He could add an implant, adjust this or that. He never once answered specifically when we tried to discuss cost with him. He would say well maybe $20,000 or maybe $30,000 depending on what he did. This is a lovely facility and friendly staff. Dr. John is slick - he wants to meet and meet and discuss options - and as I stated never once answered any questions specifically about costs. And the bottom line is he failed to produce the product for which he'd been paid totally up front for. I sit today with implants that are loose because he'd clearly stated when he took those 'impressions' in June that not to tighten them would make it easier for him when he had to remove them the next time. I would not go back to this practice for anything but I now don't have the money to go elsewhere either. Again, buyer beware. read more

I discovered Drs. John and Olinga Hargreaves when I was living in Denver in 2002. Since then I have lived in Dallas, TX, New York, NY, Madison, WI, Palm Beach, FL, and Austin, TX, where I live today. I am yet to find another dentist anywhere that offers the level of care, expertise, cutting edge technology, and thoroughness that these two exceptionally talented dentists provide. I have given up searching for another that is comparable and for the last five years have made trips to Denver just to get my teeth worked on. Told me they take Delta, then after I get my bill for $347 for a CLEANING, she tells me "well we TAKE Delta but we're not in-network." That would have been helpful to know when I made my appointment, or even when she called to confirm my insurance ID #. Horrible!! read more
