Crepes definitely took the culinary scene by storm years ago .. which upon googling seems to be a cyclic craze ever few decades... every destination, every event, and lots of brick and mortars invested in the crepe business - but Pgh Crepes Food Truck seems to have lasted through the hype! We ran into Pgh Crepes at the Steelers Training Camp in Latrobe and were looking for a breakfast bite in the food truck row. Fortunately, crepes can be whatever you want.. breakfast, lunch, snack, dessert.. just a switch of filling and you can enjoy them for every meal! The staff was very attentive and seemed super excited to swirl down the thin dough with smiles. We ordered the: Nutella Honey Crepe - the crepe was crafty thin and perfectly cooked, the Nutella (talk about another craze lol) and local honey were spread into subtle sweeping layers and paired well together. The food truck had all the utensils and napkins ready for customers and set the perfect atmosphere for munching! If you see this bright yellow truck with the winking crepe, stop by and enjoy a masterpiece!

The first year (2025) the owner advised his truck was having issues, so we cancelled a few days in advance. It happens! This year, he confirmed upon booking the August date in February, and then again 4 days in advance of service. Then he cancelled with me via text 20 mins before he was supposed to start serving... again citing truck mechanical issues. Very unreliable and unprofessional. I'm sure the crepes are great, but we never got a chance to try them.

For coffee, we tried 3 of the season lattes: banana cream pie, my boy blue (blueberry maple pancake), and cherry cordial (minus the chocolate drizzle). The lattes were good but were a little too sweet on top of everything else we got. Will definitely try another latte the next time we're in. The staff was very nice and the space was cute and clean. It is however a smaller space for sit down dining, so we took advantage of one of the open tables outside. Just something to take into consideration when going!

Depending on what season it is and when you stop the types of sourdough breads available vary. I specifically recommend checking their Instagram and Facebook pages to confirm their hours because they are just now changing their hours for fall currently (end September 2026) & their hours can be limited. But for example, right now on YELP it says they're closed and they actually are open today on a Wednesday at noon. Today I chose their apple cinnamon sourdough bread. I also got a small loaf of herb focaccia bread, four pack of their delicious sourdough English muffins. They also had chocolate chip scones today and quite a few other breads like garlic parm & maple pecan. They had one cake left and they do make some gorgeous cakes, but I would guess you should call ahead to order a cake. They also have large cookies. The parking lot in the shopping center has just been repaved and relined and there are actually two handicapped parking spots right outside the front door and the store is easily accessible with no steps or stairs. If you come frequently, you can get a bread club member card and they punch it for every loaf that you buy & after so many punches you get something free.

In the meantime, we ordered two madeleines, which were beautifully baked with a light orange flavor and were definitely the highlight of the visit. We took a walk around the neighborhood and came back at 11:30, only to find a limited number of "pescatarian" sandwiches while the ham and butter sandwiches would not be ready until noon. At that point, we decided to give up on the sandwich plan. Overall, I would still come back because the bakery itself was charming and the madeleines were excellent, but the timing around sandwich availability was frustrating and worth knowing ahead of time.
