Service was friendly and food was made fresh and served pretty quickly. I had chicken tostados and my husband had a pork and a chicken taco. All fire!! The chicken had so much flavor! And the tostadas were a perfect crunch. They had a small salsa bar that was very clean. It included 4 salsas, chopped onions, chopped cilantro and other garnishes. Will absolutely return when in the area!! 10/10!!

Good. I'm not the target audience for this establishment, but they do seem to aim for an authentic…read moretaqueria experience. The vegetable options are limited, and that probably supports the authenticity of the place. The space is relatively small and attached to a small Mexican grocery store. The staff were very kind and on top of getting the order together in a short period of time. We placed an online order for takeout, and the overall experience went well. The restaurant is using an online ordering service I haven't heard of, which always feels like rolling the dice. In this case, everything went well and our order was ready exactly on time. In terms of the food, the vegetable sides were nicely done. The quesadilla was what it was. The vegetable option was uninspired, but I don't think the vegetable option was a priority for the restaurant. The vegetable fajitas was more of a block of cheese with some limited vegetables underneath, but it worked. Apply any required hot sauce and condiments. All told, I suspect this is a solid destination if you're aiming for a meat based option. It's a little bit of a stretch to try and find vegetable forward items. That's more of a me problem than a problem with the restaurant. It's certainly a better Mexican destination than I expected to find in Wexford.

If I ever want to go to a Mexican restaurant and know ill get good margs and good food and im out…read morein Robinson I go to Plaza Azteca. Im actually from where the original is located in VA beach so I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that there was one located here. I usually get the Pina Loca and share it with my boyfriend. Its pineapple, chicken, steak, peppers and onions all cooked inside the pineapple with queso. Its sooooo good! Plenty to share and it comes with a side of rice. The service is always quick and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself has PLENTY of seating and a huge parking lot for everyone to park. It's always a constant and stable good time whenever I go here. Quick to sit and the waiters are always friendly. Plus it helps it has cute decor on the inside too!

Sadly, the quality of food plummeted a while ago. I kept hoping they'd bounce back and I've tried…read moreother things on the menu since they've ruined everything I used to love, but none of that has been good either. Their ground beef now has more carrots & potatoes than beef (tho these ingredients are NOT listed on the menu). The seafood mix used in the chimichangas, enchiladas, etc. now has more celery than seafood. Sometimes when you order something without onions they say okay, then bring it with onions. And you find out that you can't get that item without Indians anymore (even tho you've had it without onions before), but they didn't tell you. I'm not allergic to onions, so it hasn't even dangerous, but I know people who are allergic to them. It's dangerous. The taco salad has almost no lettuce tonight, but that seemed like a tonight issue, not a general menu change. Tonight, I ordered the al pastor nachos without beans & pico with jalapeños on the side. I was asked if I wanted the sour cream. I said it doesn't have that. He said it did. The guacamole was on the menu. Sour cream was not. I got it on the side so I could give that to my fiancé with the jalapeños. But what if he hasn't asked? It's not on the menu, so I couldn't have known. When I got my nachos, there were a TON of onions. There were no onions listed on the menu. I'm not allergic, but I didn't want them and they were very annoying to pick out. They were everywhere and covered with cheese. Allergies can send people to the hospital. I wouldn't feel safe going there with anyone who has any food allergies. I can't trust them to put the ingredients on the menu. It's close to Costco, which is why we keep giving it more tries, but we're continually disappointed by a restaurant we used to like. There's no great Mexican food here for someone who lived in SoCal for a long time, but the used to be passable. Now, I'd recommend you avoid it. Our waiter actually told me there weren't carrots in the empanadas, but there was a language barrier. The other waiter came and explained they were in the mix. I like carrots, but not cooked carrots. And don't want meat that is mostly potatoes & carrots. They said the chicken doesn't, but 100% of the time I've tried the chicken, it's been way overcooked. The layout and decor hasn't changed and service is typically still fast (tho not tonight) & friendly. Definitely staying away for a while.
