We stopped here for take out lunch on the way out of Colorado for a road trip. The outside of the restaurant looks a little questionable but don't let that scare you away. We ordered a tofu pad Thai and I'm very glad we did. The pad Thai was quite flavorful and a little different from any other pad Thai I've had before. The restaurant's name "Hole in Wall" is a pretty accurate description of what this place looks like from the outside. We ordered Thai Curry Noodles and an iced Thai Tea. (The tea is in a can, not made in the restaurant. However, it was still really great! Really sweet, so I wouldn't recommend if that's not your thing) We were a bit skeptical at first about the food, but let me just say- I would eat this every day and night. The noodles were so flavorful and the shrimps were such good quality. Not one of those cheap, small shrimps- big chunky, meaty shrimps... We got the combo, so there were chicken and shrimps and there were quite a lot of protein in the noodles. The sauce was thick and had a lot of flavors. I love Asian cuisine, and I have tried many Asian restaurants. This is one of the best, period. This place is a perfect mix between a charm of a small business ran by a 3 people family including their young son, and food that blows out any fancy big named restaurants. This is a spot right by Lincoln and Rose Ave, it's a neat and clean little Thai place with a nice atmosphere and decent service. The woman who took my order was polite and her son was helpful. As for the food, we ordered their garlic shrimp, Szechuan chicken and orange chicken all with fried rice along with some crab wontons. The chicken was good and cooked just right not too dry but tender enough to give you that nice warm texture in your mouth. This hidden gem was recommended to us by a lovely gentleman at the Colorado visitors center. We knew there were not many options in Limon where we were staying overnight and we were hungry for something different after being on the road for several days. Great stop during our road trip. There's no dine-in due to covid, but we called in our order and it was ready in about 15 min. We took it over to Parmer Park to eat and use bathrooms. As you move inside the shelled-out structure the concrete and aluminum soon gives way to a sparse yet charming dining room featuring a a large smiling Buddha resting atop the counter of a fully-stocked bar. The staff is attentive, expedient and kind. Although I have only ordered pho from this establishment, I can say that the food is very satisfying. The broth has everything one needs, and if not the fixings are right there. Look at my picture for evidence of its quality. While no photo can capture the aromatic awesomeness, trust me when I say it's some of the best road food you'll ever experience. We were not expecting much, and when saw the broken down exterior we thought for sure it was closed for good. However, spotting signs of life as we drew closer, we decided to give it a shot. We understood the absence of dining in option and placed a to-go order. Refused entry to their bathroom, we crossed the street to the gas station. Poking my head in after a few minutes wait, the young boy told me to wait in my car. We opened the bag of wonders to try the gelatinous hot and sour soup, a mixture of cold and warmth, we set it aside to sample the crisp and tasty egg rolls. We only had a few bites of the pad Thai as they are way too sweet. As we brought back the trash, we were instructed to throw it in a bin in the parking lot. This place is fantastic! When you step inside, the slight shabbiness of the exterior (faded paint, random sofa in the entry area) is forgotten as it's just like ANY other Asian restaurant one might find elsewhere. Very clean and excellent, efficient service. Not to mention the food was AMAZING. We came here en route to our Colorado Springs elopement and the rice came in a heart shape, which was pretty cool. My husband's basil tofu with veggies had plenty of flavor and my Shanghai noodles were curry-licious. I loved the wide assortment of vegetables in the dish, and the shrimp actually had wonderful flavor instead of just adding a bit of texture (which is often the case when I order similar dishes elsewhere). At the end of our meal, our server delivered two large, delicious slices of watermelon to the table. We were highly impressed and it was our best meal of the entire trip! read more

We went in for lunch and the prices are very reasonable. We started with an order of cream cheese wontons that were very tasty. I had a delicious Thai tea and chicken curry. The curry was spicy, but not overwhelming. The lunch special comes with rice, spring roll, choice of soup and a wedge of watermelon. Much more for than I could eat at lunch, but made for great take home leftovers. My husband had the sweet and sour chicken. He also said it was good. I agree with all the other reviews. Tasty food, outside appearance shouldn't scare you away, and good service. I was a little confused with my order. I got "Panang curry noodles," but what I received was more like what I'd expect from yellow curry at other places. I'm not complaining, because it was delicious- just not what i'd expected. I must admit, I've never ordered Panang noodles before, always just in the form of rice & soupy curry. So maybe it was my own naivety? The shrimp were large, flavorful, and really well done. My buddy ordered drunken noodles, and it was more of a chicken with garlic sauce. However, he enjoyed his as well. Both had a lot of flavor and weren't overly salted. Good stuff.
