They cleaned my windows, broke my window screen, took it and said they would replace it. It's been weeks. They kept giving management a date to come and replace the screen but never showed up. They finally dropped off the screen without having staff notify me. So more delays because now they have to "come back" to put the screen back into my window. Meanwhile, the weather is nice and I can't open my window for fear of mosquito bites. Definitely not professional at all. Communication is horrible. read more

Since I travel a ton for my job it was very difficult to set up an appointment that worked for both myself and Chelsea Window Cleaning, but they were always prompt and courteous in our email exchanges, and always trying to make it work. Finally got them in today and they did a great job. I moved into this apartment about 2 months ago and the person that lived here before me lived here for 3 and a half years. Terrible service, unreliable and highly unprofessional. I scheduled my window cleaning in early June for end of the month delivery. Everything was confirmed and ready except for the the day before they were supposed to arrived, I received a phone call them saying the appointment was cancelled and there is no availability to reschedule. While I understand private properties is something they don't specialize in, they should not have confirmed reservation in the first place or not cancelled it in the last moment. I was repeatedly assured by Maria and Robin that Chelsea Window Cleaning caters to "white glove buildings." Frank, the owner, was very nice, and I had a good impression of the company. The "cleaners" show up: and the nightmare begins. I offered to provide my own drop cloths. No, no--they had theirs! Drop cloths so filthy that I cut my foot from the crap that fell out of them the following day. I have five rooms of floor to ceiling windows: they were in and out in 40 minutes. The water was not changed once. They slopped filthy water all over my walls and floors. I had to watch the three of them, running from room to room every second. I had been assured that they would also clean the window sills, which are metal. A mediocre job on the windows; the window sills weren't touched; black spots of water all over my walls and floors. I spent two hours preparing for them, in order to make their job easy. It took four hours to clean up after them--and to the tune of $545. Amazing, that I chose this place on the basis of their five-star reviews. Never, never, never use this place. A huge disappointment, and a tremendous amount of work and money for me. read more

I researched several NYC window cleaning companies and gathered quotes before choosing a service, and Chelsea's was the cheapest I found by 3 whole dollars per window. Since we had never worked with them before, they sent out John, one of the managers, to walk through our space, verifying our window type and structural details pertinent to cleaning, as well as answering my questions about pricing and scheduling. Robin and Maria at their office were friendly, knowledgeable and quick to respond as we figured out a day and time that worked for my office's busy and unpredictable schedule. The day of our cleaning, the window cleaners (Joseph and Emerson) arrived on time and ready to begin - however, I quickly realized I had grossly underestimated the number of windows in my office - there were nearly 20 more than we had scheduled time for. Even though this was MY mistake, the folks at Chelsea were incredibly accomodating, changing their schedule to allot more time for Joseph and Emerson to clean the extra windows at the same low price per window. And even though my mistake nearly doubled the scope and time of the job, they remained polite, hard working and efficient, even pointing out damaged windows (prior to cleaning) so that we could notify our landlord. They also went over their work with me before leaving, so that we'd know exactly what to expect on our invoice. I would recommend Chelsea cleaning to anyone - especially office spaces and studios with lots of windows. :) read more

I recently called Chelsea Window Cleaning based on a rec from a property manager who has had good experiences with them. They showed up on time, were nice, and cleaned the windows in my two bedroom apartment in record time. The price was very reasonable, too. I also had no problem getting an appointment within a few days of calling, which was perfect as we needed time for insurance certificates anyway (no problems there).
