WORST TAILORING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE DO NOT GO HERE!!!…read more I brought multiple clothing items in for alterations on May 12, including an expensive dress. I returned on May 19 to pick them up as instructed and was told the alterations were not finished. I was then told to come back again later that week, only for the work to still not be completed. On May 27, I was finally able to pick up only half of my clothing and was still required to pay for all alterations -- including work that had not even been completed yet. The worst part was the damage done to my dress. The alterations were done so poorly that the dress is no longer wearable. I took it to another alterations professional who told me the damage is likely not fixable. When I returned to show the issues and ask for a refund, I was told it was "not their fault" and refused any resolution even after trying the dress on in front of them and showing how much it impacted the fit of the dress (one side has a huge gap exposing the bra...!!!) They also held on to the other 2 articles of clothing and insisted they still tailor them. Refusing to give me a refund or my property back. When I finally returned to get them, they work they had done was sloppy and the shoulders still did not fit. One piece they did not even do the work that was paid for (adding on additional buttons), but they did hem the shoulders too tight for me to wear. All and all I am out the $115 i spent on alterations, and now have not 1 not 2 but 3 pieces of unwearable clothing. I will be taking them to another alterations place but have already been warned that the damage might be too much to fix. I would strongly caution others before trusting this business with valuable clothing. My dress is destroyed and I am out hundreds of dollars on damaged clothes and services not rendered as agreed. I have never written a bad review in my life, if i could give this place 0 stars I would.

When I checked on it in February, I was told it was taking longer because the suede cleaner had been on leave. When I followed up again last month, I was shocked to be told they had never received my jacket. After checking their system, they insisted I had never dropped it off. What disappointed me most was not even the lost jacket. It was the lack of accountability and the complete absence of an apology. I was not asking for compensation. I simply wanted someone to acknowledge what happened and say they were sorry. Instead, when I pulled the owner aside to express my disappointment, she looked at me with confusion, as though I was making the whole thing up.

The first thing you need to know is that this establishment does not have a standardized list of services or prices anywhere online or in their shop. I first went to them on June 22 to have five dresses dry cleaned (quoted $79.45), one blazer dry cleaned and shortened (quoted $52.95), and one dress' zipper repaired as well as have it dry cleaned (quoted $52.99 or $29.99 depending on if the existing zipper was salvageable or needed to be replaced). The prices seemed a bit steep to me, so I told the woman at the desk, Eden, that I would shop around for a cleaner and maybe return. I decided that paying for convenience was worth it and returned on July 8 due to Barr's close proximity to my workplace. This time, I dropped off two dresses for dry cleaning/stain removal (paid $29.98), one dress to just have the zipper repaired (paid $28), and two blazers to just have shortened (paid $50 each). When I got to work, I realized that I was paying almost the exact same amount to simply have a blazer altered that I was quoted for an alteration AND dry cleaning a couple of weeks ago. I called to inquire about this and was given the runaround. A man who I suppose is the manager initially said that he did not know why the pricing was what it was then told me that it was perhaps due to some promotion going on. I asked how much the promotion was to result in the pricing nearly being equivalent, and he said 10% which still doesn't make sense. I told him so, then, presumably due to being tired of speaking with me, he told me that I could come pick up my items and receive a refund which worked perfectly fine with me. While picking up my items, Eden told me that the refund had to be processed through an accountant and that the man I spoke to before was not in at the moment to discuss things further. After getting in contact with him, he told me that the refund had been initiated and to text them my email address to receive proof of this via email. As of the afternoon of July 9, I have still not received an actual refund, confirmation of a refund, or any specific timeline for the processing of my refund. I called Barr this morning after they ignored my texts and got an AI assistant for the first time since trying to resolve this matter, so it seems I'll just be disputing these charges with my bank. These business practices are egregious, and I can only imagine how many others have been charged on a whim but did not realize and thus could not rectify matters. I cannot recommend Barr Cleaners any less. UPDATE (July 10, 2026): Barr Cleaners said they issued a refund this morning and requested my email to send me a refund receipt. I will update this review a final time when I receive the receipt. UPDATE (July 10, 2026): I received confirmation of a refund via email this afternoon. I'm glad to have this matter finally resolved, but my original rating still stands.

I've been patronizing this business for three years, and they've never lost or damaged anything. In addition to dry cleaning, I've also had them do alterations on men's suits and dress pants many times, and they work has been very good. I've also had them mend jeans, and they've done a really excellent job, with the patching lasting literally years. Finally, they're prices are very competitive. So all in all, I highly recommend this dry cleaner.

On the right is the store and on the left is their machines so you know they dry clean in house v. sending it away. The staff is very friendly and the prices the same compared to other local dry cleaners. They also have you sign a waiver when they have to do risky cleaning which makes it feel more honest. I recommend this dry cleaners!

They are fast, accommodating, and reasonably priced. All drycleaning and tailoring is done on premises, so you don't have to deal with a middle man in case anything ever does go awry. They will even text you when your clothes are ready for pick up! Tailoring for pants hems and jacket sleeves have been prompt, and well done. No complaints at all. Once I ran out of collar stays and stuck a couple of my wife's bobby pins in my dress shirt collar. They found the bobby pins and gave me a bunch of collar stays for free :)
