Let's begin with a REAL review: The place is NOT filthy and the brushes were sterilized. The atmosphere is modern and CLEAN. I have standards and wouldn't be going to a place that is filthy. If they weren't, how are they in business with a legal license for years? The owner, Josh, did my hair and was a complete professional. Since I have left, just yesterday, I have had nothing but compliments! This is not the first time I have been and will not be the last time. Josh also did my hair for my wedding and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to do my hair on my special day. So, to combat what the previous lady stated, Josh said that you have to be careful when buying Groupons for just any random salon and to make sure it's a place that you TRUST. The previous reviewer wanted a "bob" but long/not a bob??? I HEARD Elsa ask her specifically what she was wanting and expecting. I also HEARD the lady AGREE to what Josh and Elsa described. The lady was asked several questions to make sure what she wanted was understood since it wasn't really making any sense as to what she was saying she wanted. When that lady arrived, her hair was a mess consisting of partial highlights (I am assuming that's what they were as I know nothing when it comes to hair). When she left, to me, it was a beautiful chocolate brown styled in flowing locks. Sh seemed happy and didn't say a WORD nor a single complaint. Why wait and leave to complain when she could have said something right then and there and had it fixed? The owner Josh and Elsa were personable and kind and I would have been completely comfortable stating any issues that I would have had. Couldn't have said it better himself (which was strange, considering he offers it!). This person, Elsa, who handled my hair couldn't understand the cut that I wanted, albeit with picture and all. I've used a similar photo with my regular stylist, and never had any problem. The coloring seemed amiss too, i.e. she had to be instructed what to put where. If that wasn't bad enough, the place was a bit dirty; brushes and combs weren't sterilized; the stylist kept on pulling at my hair from the back to bring it to my face, to ridiculously ask if that was the right point to cut, rather than use another mirror to show me where she was going to cut, and to actually let me see the length! This place is just unbelievably unprofessional, I wouldnt be surprised if the "5 star" ratings were actually from family or friends of the salon. In short, take the owners advice (ironically!), and bring your business to your trusted stylist. Definitely not worth the saving. Oh and by the way, just to see how "professional" this salon is, the owner loves to give sarcastic responses to any negative review. Will not go back and will definitely not recommend.
