I was really pleased to see all the safety measures in place. You are asked to wait outside the salon so you can have your temperature taken before entering. All the stylists and clients were wearing masks. Erin is an absolute rockstar. I had an idea of what I wanted my hair to look like and she made it happen! She gave great advice on the best cut for my hair and I could not be more pleased with how it turned out. The customer service is great here. I had a positive experience with everyone I spoke with from the time I called to make an appointment to the time I walked out the door after my cut. Prices are also very reasonable, especially with how great of a job they do. I highly recommend you book an appointment at Tony's Hair if you are looking to freshen up your look!

Despite clearly asking for full highlights, Kristina didn't disclose her pricing (which ended up costing $500), and she left our daughter with orange hair that totally lacked any dimension or tone. She showed pictures of what she wanted and left totally upset. Kristina also said they were closing and refused to blow dry her hair. I brought our daughter back to the store a few days later to ask if she could make corrections. At first she claimed she didn't remember serving her and then oddly seemed to remember (and lie) about several details. She refused to provide even a partial refund and said to make any correction would cost more. Kristina is clearly trash. She took advantage of a child, and then refused to make it right. Tony was there and wouldn't even look me in the face during the dispute in his store. I would avoid this place like the plague! Zero customer service and they take absolute advantage of people.

Got my haircut and treatment from Michael and he did a fabulous job!…read more First off, the salon itself was very clean, and front desk was very friendly. I really appreciated how prompt they were about my appointment time. All their products were bumble & bumble and it smelled fantastic. Michael, my stylist is extremely friendly and a great conversationalist. He's very communicative and knowledgeable about hair, hair color, and extensions. He made me feel very welcome and gave me great advice and suggestions on my hair. I had a lot of breakage from years of bleaching and he did a great job blending my damaged ends into layers. He also really listened to what I wanted and made sure to communicate every step of the way. Not to mention, I received one of the best head massages for my added hair treatment! Overall a great experience and I will be considering hair extensions with Michael in the future!

She also let me know the person who did my hair was no longer with them (good choice!!) I got my hair re-done by Lauren** and she was great although it was mostly toning if I'm not mistaken. It turned out a lot better than before and the cut was not crooked thank god! There was a problem at the register as the girl said there was not a note on my account so I had to pay the full amount, but contacted Elizabeth again and she reimbursed me a couple days later. I'm not giving a full 5 stars only because the girl who took my payment made no effort in listening and told me to "come back and talk to Elizabeth" which seemed a bit dismissive. All in all though despite that, it was a better experience, and the owners care a lot about customer satisfaction! So I would still recommend it! ---- Unfortunately, have to leave a not so great review for my first and only visit here. I saw Richard, who was very nice. Everyone was nice. I wanted a simple cut, no layers, but I wanted my hair thinned out (I have a lot of hair), and I also wanted color. Nothing fancy just some peak-a-boos all over so I could eventually transition into a balayage. I showed him a picture, he looked at it and got straight to work. Everything went great, we were chatting small talking etc :) I do have some experience working at a salon in Menlo Park, and watching him I was getting just a little worried as his techniques seemed a little basic (maybe it's just hindsight though). Anyway, he finished, washed (very very hot water ouch) and blow dried my hair (it also burned quite a bit. But I am not the type to complain unfortunately so I kept my mouth shut) Anyway I was happy up until I finally saw my hair. I mean I smiled but inside I was pretty sad. I went home, my boyfriend was like what happened to your hair I said what do you mean? It's fine.(didn't think it was THAT bad, notenough for my boyfriend who never notices anything to notice) I take a closer look in the mirror, the color is uneven and my hair cut is crooked / uneven. Random long strands etc. No biggie. Right? I'll just go in and have it fixed. So I call make an appointment to fix it and go in. He apologizes and takes a few minutes to fix it. Although it's better than before it's still not what you'd expect after paying $250+. Been wearing it in a pony ever since waiting for it to grow back. :( I'm giving an extra star because everyone was very nice and the salon itself is super cute.

I had the Liscio Japanese straightening treatment done on my medium-length coarse, wavy hair. After having had the BioIonic Japanese straightening treatment done 15 years ago, a Brazilian blowout done in '22, & Keratin treatments from '22-24, I decided to go with the Japanese straightening treatment because of the permanency, resistance to humidity, & ease of styling. I literally wash my hair, a quick blow dry & maybe one pass with a flat iron & I'm good for a week. As a mother of a two-year-old, it makes me feel like myself/put together, but does not take time away from my daily routine with my son. I'd rather be spending time with him than standing in front of the mirror running a flat iron through my hair endlessly. I did my research to see who currently offers this treatment here in Richmond. I found three places: Flirt Salon in Cary Town, a salon in the West End that requires a deposit paid at the consultation BEFORE scheduling the actual service (what the heck - they only have one person that does the treatment there, so if that person were to fall ill or get injured on the job, you would've wasted your time and perhaps have to lobby for your deposit back- no thank you!), & then a third place that had very poor reviews. I reached out to Vada, she communicated with me to answer all of my questions and I felt very confident about getting the service done with her. I consider it an investment and wanted to make it worth my while. I have high expectations, I knew exactly what I wanted, and I notice every detail when it comes to my hair. She exceeded my expectations. Vada is not only professional and highly skilled - she's been doing hair for 30 years - but she is also very personable and genuinely cares about her clients. It was a great experience from start to finish. I'm absolutely in love with my hair. Vada is wonderful and I can't recommend her salon enough.
