I understand the policy (we called to let Stella know we were running behind, literally less than ten minutes late and we felt really bad about that. That's why we called..), ... What my point is, and what I don't understand, is the rudeness and coldness: We've called several times where we are rushed off the phone. It's a running joke in our house bc my kids hear how rude she is when we make our appointments... but we try to laugh it off bc my son loves his haircuts there. Additionally, the price of the haircut changes by $5 every other time we are there. It's truly confusing for the customer. I get everyone has their bad days, but glancing at your watch several times without even greeting us when we walk in is not helpful. It was demeaning and uncomfortable for me and my son. We arrived at 5:09, not 5:05, I'm sorry....your business, your policy. I get it. You just don't have to be rude. That's all. Common courtesy and kindness can go a long way. Sending you peace and kindness Mimi. *** We love Stella and she always does my son's hair so well. Mimi on the other hand is very rude on the phone and in person, always acts as if we are bothering her - Rude when we call to make our appointment and rude when we get there. She is lucky she has good stylists. Common courtesy and kindness is not too much to ask for.

So I go around to the other side but nobody seems to acknowledge. I decide to sit down and hopefully someone comes by and assists. I waited for a while and was just about to leave. Ariel comes in and has an appointment with the lady who was sitting next to me. She sees me there and asks me if I needed help. I explain to her what I need (which was a quick trim on my bangs) and she was so kind enough to do it for me. Not only was she helpful and did a great job but she was just the sweetest! With a smile on her face the entire time. This is the customer service that is needed. It makes you feel welcomed and makes your day better. I will definitely be back for future appointments.

Dora is fantastic, experienced, and friendly, as she will listen to you with patience. And I am sure other hairdressers are friendly and experienced too! The money you paid is definitely worth the price here. I would say it's absolutely five stars! Regarding how to make an appointment, this is what I did: I called the phone number (951) 686-2994 as displayed on this page (for some reason the website http://www.escape-n-style.com/ no longer works), and a woman picked up the phone (sorry I did not remember her name). She took notes of my name and number, saying she's gonna check the availabilities of hair designers (or hairdressers?). Then, Dora called me and scheduled an appointment. You CAN ALSO simply WALK IN to schedule an appointment.

I love that she took her time to ensure my hair turned out exactly how I wanted it. I've been to many salons throughout the years, and none of them have ever cut my hair the way I wanted it till now. I especially liked that she was able to preserve my length, but also got rid of all the dead parts + gave life to my hair. I have very thick, abundant, long hair that can be hard to work with, so I am very picky with who I trust to cut my hair. However, Ana knows exactly how to work with my type of hair, and there was never a moment of doubt while she was cutting it as she would consult with me before making any major cuts. I also asked for whispy bangs, and she let me know ahead of time that I would have to train them for them to sit the way they do in the picture due to my middle part. She is transparent, caring, and I am in love with her work! I highly recommend getting your haircut by her! I never leave reviews, but her work deserves recognition. I will definitely be returning :)

I was looking for a low-maintenance hime cut that was a bit shorter since my hair has a lot of split ends on the bleached portion/partially highlighted sections, along with a face framing style. She was so sweet and chatted with me for a bit when I was conscious (I was fading in and out of sleeping) and helped me charge my phone during the entire process. I left feeling like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders (or head, in this instance!). I'm not super knowledgeable on hairstyles, but she definitely helped me understand what look I was going for before cutting my hair which I really appreciated! The entire process of a gloss and haircut took around 2 hours (as expected at the booking) and cost $130.
